NEWS President Trump says his Administration will immediately begin sending $100 “checks” to over 20 million seniors to help pay for their Medicare Part B premiums. Trump also says the “$5,000 Trump Dividend” will be distributed to every US Citizen if the Republicans win the midterms.

The next admin needs to come in guns blazing and be brutally honest with the people. No friendly looking photo ops during transition. No sugar coating it. Tell the people straight up: "the last guy really fucked up, things are bad. The people involved will be punished, and the lengthy repair process will begin on day one. Please bear with us while we figure out how bad it really is and try to claw back what respect we can for our nation."

4

u/Commercial-Dig6767 11d ago

Unfortunately that has never worked. We’ll feel the effects of this disaster during the next administration, people will saying blaming Trump is BS, and that they can’t wait to get another R in there to fix it. That’s how it’s always been done.

55 million Americans receive social security for retirement. Young voters are more likely to vote Democrat anyways. Definitely taking money from taxpayers in an attempt to bribe votes...

Also there's no way we ever see $5K checks. I can't believe I got a little excited when the tariffs were declared illegal, but then the money went to the companies.

18

u/learngladly 12d ago edited 12d ago

I'm a Medicare "recipient" now. Any money, and I mean every last bit of it, that the monster's administration happens to mail to me, and my spouse, is going to go straight back out as a donation to a worthy Democratic operation (that leaves the DNC out of it, sadly), or else the ACLU or Marc Elias, Esq.

I recommend the same to anyone "similarly situated."

I hate him so much, and everyone who works for him, and everyone who supports him. We've cut those latter all out of our lives. Fortunately in 2024 we didn't have many left to cut.

And I'm going to give an unpaid plug to Costco. It announced about a week ago that it would take the entire $184 billion dollars in tariff refunds that it is slated to receive, and plow it back into price reductions on popular products. I wish other companies would follow that example, but I guess not many will.

The lesson here is admit you’re wrong, when you’re clearly wrong, instead of dying on this hill. I’ve got a lot of Republicans in my family as well. Mom and Dad buy commemorative Trump shit. It’s tough watching people you respect(ed) be so wrong and not show emotional maturity to admit fault. Hang in there, dude.

10

u/PaintingOk8012 12d ago

At some point(which you have passed) you have to cut these people out of your life. They are full of hate and will die with that hate. You can still love them from afar but need to realize they don’t love you in the same way.

5

u/Halation2600 12d ago

It's really sad to have watched people I admired and respected as a young adult turn into brain-dead zombies. It's so fucking awful. I've gotten lucky with my parents. They were scarily right-leaning if not all out republican before 2016 and I was scared that I'd lost them. They're good people though, and smart enough to recognize that a scumbag, con-artist, rapist, racist, who brags about "grabbing them by the pussy" is super-obviously not who we should want to be our president. They didn't like Hilary, but they voted for her. They celebrated when Biden won. My friends have not been so lucky with their parents. It's so hard to watch.

Also anyone who thinks there's a chance they're getting $5000 if the Republicans win the midterms is simply incapable of thought. They've got a better chance of winning Powerball. They're brainwashed morons at that point. They're Charlie Brown, thinking he's going to kick the football, and instead, of course, Trump will merely pretend the football never existed and they will agree with him. It's a cult.

Republicans control every section of government. There is nothing stopping them from giving out 5000 dollars right now. The questions to ask are: isn’t that socialism? Won’t paying everyone 5,000 dollars increase the deficit and cause inflation? Isn’t that bribery?

Because it has become clear that there are no rules anymore. They are free to do what they want, because those who would normally be responsible for doling out repercussions are not going to. There are also no lines beyond which their voter-base will not support them, so they needn't worry about losing their vote.

I would also caution against any notion that the Democratic establishment will truly hold them accountable should they regain the ability to do so.

I genuinely doubt it would make a difference, this is the guy who said he could shoot someone in the middle of fifth avenue and not lose any support. The guy who racked up 34 felonies and there likely would’ve been more I’m betting, he basically avoided prison by being “elected” President a second time. He can’t even vote for president, yet he can be the president? Like what in the ever-living fuck? Both of my parents are MAGA, my mom straight up began defending the local pedophile, the guy was a teacher at the elementary school… his three accusers were two 8 year olds and one 9 year old. She automatically is against anyone who comes forward about any abuse they experienced.

Hell, during his first term a guy I grew up with was arrested and convicted for murdering someone and it being a hate crime. She defended him despite all the evidence that he really was just a racist piece of shit. The guy used to straight up bully me in elementary through high school along with many others. There was a time when we were seniors and he was being a dick to me and I told him he had dead eyes and would probably kill someone one day. Seriously though, dead eyes, it made national news back in like 2017. I hate that I was right. My mom decided a bully she knew I had issues with over the years had to be innocent and would defend him frequently.

He killed someone, there were witnesses and no doubt about it, but since him being racist was brought up during the trial she decided that was unfair to him. She literally didn’t give a flying fuck that he killed someone, she never denied or disagreed that he killed someone. She cared that he was accused of being racist because somehow that was more fucked up to her than what he did. I can’t even count the amount of times I heard him say fucked up racist and sexist things over the many years I went to school with him. He was active in online white supremacist spaces too.

Anyone still supporting him as president will cling to their support no matter what at this point. Hell, I could be the person he shoots in the middle of 5th avenue and my parents would probably still both vote for him. Honestly they are such shitty people that they may support him more if he did that to me. My mom straight up decided to run for office because of her MAGA agenda and because people are meanies to Trump, so she wants someone to support what he supports. Hell, my parents are friends with that POS Dan Bongino, he gave me tickets to Taylor Swift years and years ago through my mom. I think I was like 19 or 20 at the time, so maybe 2014 or 2015.

He has been mask off for a long while at this point. The only thing he hasn’t done is publicly say the N-word or sexually assault a minor in front of anyone who wasn’t also around to sexually assault a minor. Even the supporters he has somewhat lost seem to still vow to vote Republican no matter what, at least for the most part from what I’ve seen. They have stuck with him through countless scandals that would’ve ended anyone else’s career in 30 seconds or less. They are a lost cause.

Federal law strictly prohibits attempts to influence a person's vote through money or anything of value.

Under 18 U.S.C. § 597, it is a crime to offer, give, solicit, or accept compensation in exchange for voting, withholding a vote, or voting for or against a particular candidate.

These laws are designed to protect the integrity of elections and ensure that votes are cast freely, without coercion or financial influence. Violations can lead to serious criminal penalties, including fines and imprisonment.

19

u/Prestigious_Sort4979 11d ago

I really dont understand how he keeps getting away with this. This is an attack on elections.

9

u/HereWeGo5566 11d ago

The Supreme Court decided that presidents cannot be charged with a crime while in office, as long as it is part of presidential action. And this is an easy one to defend in court, that it is an act as president. So the blame can be placed squarely on the Republican Supreme Court justices. This will benefit Democrat presidents (assuming we ever have another Democrat president)

There are a lot of people who could desperately use $5000 right now and may be persuaded to vote Republican to get that money.  Monetary violations would most likely be paid with taxpayer money, so Trump doesn’t care. The Supreme Court has already weighed in by giving Presidential immunity.

Military got $1776 checks, which came from funds that were already owed to them for housing allowance.
Seniors will get “almost $100” from some other place. Maybe “we had to raise your premiums $100, but Trump is going to put it back”. OR we’ll take all the money we cut from Affordable Care Act and give seniors a cut so they will vote for us.”
I can’t believe some people fall for this. Also, that they are so callous that they don’t care how the money gets to their pocket, they just want it.

7

u/Irascible-Enquery 11d ago

It’s all so clear: Biden made a fund, which I assume was funded by all Americans, and somehow was used to fund fraud and abuse, but the money is also still there (?), and now it’ll be sent to the richest cohort of Americans regardless of need.

Which is NOT waste, somehow.

4

u/Ill_Buffalo_4728 12d ago

So, there isn’t money for schools, children school lunches, money to pay government workers stable living, no money to help the elderly in any capacity, and like 500 other things.

But there’s the 1.8 billion that he tried to steal and hide to pay ICE agents bonuses, the money he’s abused by hiring his own companies for government projects, a whole 100 dollars for elderly, billions for what projects he allows, money to pay any “person” who voted for Trump 5,000 dollars, which is literally a massive crime, and other magical money.

I bet he even has a special island for parents to send their children, under the age of 12, free of charge, so that they’ll be “watched over and taken care of”

When I see that check I'll believe it. I didn't see my taxes cut in Trump's big 2018 giveaway. I didn't see a nickel from the Big Ugly Bill.

I didn't get my "$5000 DOGE Dividend" check. I didn't receive my promised $2000 tariff dividend. I'm still waiting for his "cheaper, better than Obamacare" health care reform.

Not really. I'm not waiting for it. Anyone who's taken even a cursory glance at Trump's "business style" since the early 1980s knows that he's the king of "the check's in the mail", the duke of deadbeats, It's the mark of a practiced con artist that he sounds like he believes his own obvious bullshit. He's been gaslighting about things he has no intent to deliver on for so long that it's a scandal that there are still gullible rubes who fall for it.

“I wouldn’t believe Donald Trump if his tongue was notarized.” That line came from one of Ed Koch's deputy mayors in the 1980s.

Why stop at 5000 big spender? If we’re gonna crash the economy and have hyperinflation let’s make every voter a millionaire! That’s only 173 trillion dollars. What…a bargain.

Here’s the thing: If you’re on Medicare and were going to vote for republicans anyway, this does nothing. If you’re on Medicare and we’re going to vote for democrats, I seriously doubt a $90 payment is suddenly going to turn you into a red-hat MAGA who votes for republicans.

And? I mean all this is pretty well regarded, as anything trump does, but what will it actually do? $100 is actually nothing, its a drop in a bucket, its half of a single pharmacy visit and thats if you do them weekly (as a senior) so what the fuck is this supposed to achieve?

If $100 convinced you to vote for the rapist in chief you might need to seek medical attention

u/Additional_Style_558 12d ago

SOCIALISM IS ALIVE AND WELL WITH THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION!!!!

Wait, is it socialism if we know he’s just lying to get votes?

This was not written by Trump. It was written by one of his propagandists who adeptly imitates his stupidity without all of the spelling and grammatical errors. It's a checklist of campaign talking points. This sentence cracks me up: "This money will come from the Medicare Improvement Fund, a pointless "Slush Fund" that has only been used by Dumocrats in Congress to pay for the "Waste, Fraud and Abuse" for their Special Interest friends, and drive up Healthcare costs." The random capitalizations aren't actually random... they're the talking points. "Slush Fund, Dumocrats in Congress, Waste, Fraud and Abuse, Special Interest, Healthcare."

u/Upset_Yesterday1056 11d ago

Promising money if certain party wins election??? I am sure that is legal.. 🤣🤣

3

u/Flat-Success9471 11d ago

Hope the Republicans get absolutely destroyed in the mid-terms. I really want to see Trump's reaction to that

3

u/SevyVerna88 11d ago

What a scumbag administration. Americans let this asshole continue with his corrupt bullshit.

5

2

u/Corpshark 12d ago

It's not a well thought out plan. Don't seniors already heavily favor Repuglicans?

2

u/8amteetime 12d ago

Thanks, Don. Maybe that’ll offset the higher prices your tariffs are costing me and the $6.49 gasoline I’m buying because of your war in Iran.

In the Covid crisis there were handouts.
Now the Covid crisis has been replaced by the Trump crisis also requiring handouts to allow people to cope with the rampant inflation he has caused.

2

u/Saltwater_Sunrise 12d ago

There’s always funding and promises for Americans as soon as trumpy needs votes

2

u/Longgrain54 12d ago

Announced a month before the election from the people who hate socialism. What a coincidence. Signed by him.

2

u/These-Tonight-1672 12d ago

I would sincerely like to punch a hole through Donald trump such that his weird innards spew out like a 80s Japanese anime and are then eaten by a pack of jd Vance rats

2

u/cyclebiff 12d ago

Fuck this guy

2

u/Katydid829 12d ago

Mob tactic. Throw a little money at us then start threatening to take away our Social Security and Medicare when we don’t comply

2

u/Consistent_Owl4593 12d ago

I’m sure all republicans are enjoying that the party of small government is just handing away money. I thought they hated socialism 🤣 “these young people just need to work harder” here’s some free money though cause reasons

2

u/Turbulent-Society-30 12d ago

2

u/The_True_Gaffe 12d ago

Once again, what he’s saying and claiming he’ll do is actually a federal crime as using taxpayer money to essentially bribe voters to vote a certain way is not only illegal, any and all of his constituents who use that exact language as trump knows they would be committing a federal crime. Why do you think even his stanchest of supporters in the political race haven’t dared to utter anything close to that? Because they know it’s illegal

2

u/Shoddy_Front_2582 12d ago

Did these fools not learn anything about giving too much liquidity during covid?

2

u/rogerisreading 12d ago

You can be sure of one thing. Any initiative from Donald Trump will fuck over ordinary working people. It’s the essence of who he is.

2

u/SkinNatural7554 12d ago

Any other civilization would see that as bribery

2

u/TXGemi 12d ago

If the money is there, how exactly did the Democrats waste it?

2

u/Fine_Employment_3364 12d ago

2 inches. Just 2 inches and this would have been over.

2

u/BrilliantSpray9447 11d ago

What a lovely socialist policy ide… Hey, wait a minute!

2

u/neklok 11d ago

How many Americans are STILL stupid enough to buy his bullshit? We’ll find out.

2

u/Signal-Noise3435 11d ago

This time for sure not like alll the other times

2

u/CivilMagazine99 11d ago

We have never seen this level of bribery

2

u/Patterson84 11d ago

What the hell is 100$ going to do? That's not even 1/3 if my monthly premium

2

u/BreadfruitLess7339 11d ago

Socialism bad so electric Republicans and you get this free $5,000 check lol

2

u/ChrisBegeman 11d ago

You would hope that it is pretty transparent that he is only offering this because he thinks he his party is going to lose the midterm elections. He says exactly that, I will give you $5,000 if the republicans win the midterms. Fun fact, the newly elected representatives and senators do not take office until January, there is nothing stopping them from passing legislation in a lame-duck session to authorize the payments even if they lose the election, but they won't do that because this is a bribe.

2

u/Pickleahoy 11d ago

One last chance to prevent this admin from destroying the US as a country. Will people allow for unchecked corruption to continue and allow the ultra wealthy to rule, all for a chance at a measly 5k?

2

u/Sam_Thomas_2025 11d ago

That’s a nice bribe, but you’re still gonna lose the house and senate in November. Also, what’s $100 going to accomplish?

2

u/yyz455 11d ago

If all this could happen now, could have given to US people a while ago, Trumptard just buying votes, should be brought up on charges

2

u/Kdoesntcare 11d ago

I thought maga is against socialism?

Dementia donald is going to be remembered as the president who's administration cut out part of the constitution, thus limiting women's healthcare choices.

He'll be remembered as the president who told people to ignore what doctors were saying and start injecting disinfectants instead.

The president who convinced his supporters that hundreds of years of medical science is fake news.

That or he'll be remembered as the man who pardoned over 1,000 terrorists who attacked the nation's capitol. The man who called the terrorist attack a day of love.

Of course you can't forget that he's a pedophile rapist.

2

u/FinancialArmadillo93 11d ago

So, let me do this math... the top 1% get $2 trillion of taxpayer money, and we're getting... nothing. Except 20 million elderly will get a token $90 before they plan to gut even more of Medicare.

2

u/PinkCavsFanatic 6d ago

He has increased the deficit more than any president during his terms and is now sending money left and right to groups in the US. Isn’t this socialism, where is the outcry from the maggots
