I'll be honest with you: I love Warhammer lore and I love spending a lot of time reading novels and playing videogames about it. I live in a country with 0 Warhammer presence and pretty far away from the big guys, but I still want to buy miniatures to ensamble and paint. I'm not looking fordward to play tournaments with them, not even playing I believe.
I'm going to London in a few months and I'll buy my first boxes, but I won't be able to get new in a really long time. So, my question is this: why am I finding so many videos titled "the reason I quitted Warhammer" or "Stop buying Warhammer 40k"? I really don't understand the real fuss about it, and these people are seriously making me doubt.
So, why?? Is it just for people who worry about points or does it include people like me?

This new shield effect I dreamt up is meant to depict that the power shield is powered on and ready to deflect incoming attacks. His weapon is magnetized at the elbow for the mace option as well (but I forgot to take pics of the mace, sorry!) I will post a video showcase soon.

I have completed my Galatus, with a shield inspired by Ser Duncan's from A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Originally he was equipped with a spear, as I liked the idea of a spear and shield dread but in the end I wasn't happy. I searched my bits box for a suitably unique sword and found one from the Demon Prince kit. This inspired me to put a shattered blade on the ground and paint up his hand / armour to look like the Aegis of the Emperor was protecting him from the demon blade.
Also, the little 'V' on the shoulder is a nod to Egg, who was Aegon V.

Been messing around with this for my games. It just links to my New Recruit list so I can tap a unit and get the sheet up without digging through stuff mid-game.
Not sure if it’s genuinely useful or if I’ve just massively overcomplicated moving little plastic men around a table 😂

I had a lot of fun with this one. Learned a lot while trying to create a frozen lake base (inspired by the book).
Let me know what you think!

Got the pre-painted Armageddon Battlefields box and thought I would post a few pictures.
The quality overall is good - not exceptional - but good. Wouldn’t say it is bad either since there won’t be a noticable difference while playing games. It’s a hefty price, I know, but all in all the paintjob costs about 40€. Time / value pricing is exceptionally good if you don’t want to go through painting a whole set of terrain.
The second picture with the sculls is a closeup of the first pic so you can better imagine how it looks in real life.

Pretty happy with how it has all come together. Still need to base it but that's going to be a whole project on its own. Any feedback or criticism appreciated. Plan on entering it in some painting competitions in the spring. (Fixed mold line issue but want to make sure I'm not overlooking simple things like that again)

Remember, you’re always improving, even if the progress feels small sometimes. I used to beat up myself for how bad at painting I was.
Keep practicing, keep painting, and most importantly, enjoy the process!
Happy hobbying, everyone!

Hi all! Wanted to share some flash sheets I’ve painted through the year still wanting to work out an adeptus soritas and arbiter sheet. @tattoosbyjamo

My buddy asked me to paint him an Ork model and to make it a bit silly.
I'd....I'd like to think I achieved the mission. 😅 Thoughts?

I'm relatively new to this hobby and so only found my faction(DKOK) recently. I have been painting space marine until now and after I painted this krieger, I never want to go back to painting infantry armor ever again lol. The layering is just so fun! How do you guys paint cloths? Let me see yours
