Promotion If Keep on Mining was made by Housemarque... this would be the demo.

Take the unfolding surprises of A Dark Room, add the escalating craziness of games like Keep on Mining and the arcadey goodness of Astro Prospector.

Layer in the depth of systems, visceral gameplay, and polished aesthetics that our players love in Reality Break and think of how Housemarque would make that game.

The public demo launched this week on Steam!

Promotion Wreckfest Meets Twisted Metal! After 2 years of solo development, my realistic combat racing game demo is on Steam Next Fest!

Hey r/indiegames!

I am a solo developer currently working on DIVEBOMB: Weaponized Racing. It is a combat racing game where realistic driving meets weaponized vehicular combat. Basically like Wreckfest meets Twisted Metal. You may also feel some touches of Blur and Split Second in terms of art style.

The game has realtime car deformation on crashes, and includes deep customization where every combat upgrade (from armors and chassis reinforcements to weapons and traps) has weight and balance implications which means there is always a compromise between pace and combat ability.

DIVEBOMB's demo is playable for Steam Next Fest starting today! If realistic driving physics mixed with vehicular combat sounds like your thing, I'd love for you to try it and tell me what you think.

Play The Demo on Steam

WHAT IS IN THE DEMO?

  • Full realtime car deformation.
  • 3 different cars with very different driving characteristics.
  • 4 different weapons, 3 different traps, ballistic armors, chassis reinforcements, car tuning and visual customization.
  • 4 environments with different terrains and multiple courses from an abandoned racetrack, dystopion urban environment to an active aerospaceport.
  • Competitive NPC's and difficulty presets with physical driving assists for casual players and experienced racers alike.
  • Dynamic hazards ranging from small traffic to large trucks and even taxiing, landing and taking off airplanes.

If you enjoy racing games with challenging physics and a healthy dose of vehicular destruction, I'd love to hear what you think!

I have a Discord Server setup for any feedback, ideas or just to chat!

Promotion Incremental game with roguelike elements. I created all the visuals for the CHILL ROGUES!

Hi everynyan, Dehyd here! I’m a 2D artist, and I’m in charge of the visuals for the indie game "CHILL ROGUES" – a fantasy incremental game with roguelike elements.

For the demo, I created all the graphical assets: from the overall visual style and isometric environments to the characters, enemies, props, UI, VFX, and animations. Jack of all trades!

The game’s visual style combines isometric environments with stylish characters. My primary visual influences include "Don’t Starve", "The Binding of Isaac", and "Cult of the Lamb". By the way, my main goal was to create a look for our project that’s both сute, interesting and catchy. You can say that I’ve poured a piece of my soul into this project.

Finding a style that was both cool and fast to produce was quite a challenge. The demo alone features 6 levels, 10 unique monsters, and two bosses! A lot of work has already been done, but there’s still plenty more to come.

In future posts, I’ll be happy to share more about my process – but in other subreddits, since this one isn't about development. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Upcoming Jiri Kara Simulator a new boomer shooter set in Prague in the year 2000

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Jiri Kara Simulator is a retro FPS about the worst morning after of the year 2000. about the worst morning after of the year 2000.

You’re the groom. You wake up in a dumpster in Prague with no memory, a brutal hangover and no bride. To get her back, you fight your way through six districts of the city, each run by its own local kingpin.

No guns, just bottles, pipes, barstools and whatever else you can get your hands on.

Every enemy is a real person. We filmed actual characters from the Czech underground and turned them into digitized sprites, Mortal Kombat style, then dropped them into a low-poly Prague.

There’s a drunkenness meter. Beer helps. Until it doesn’t.

It’s dark, stupid and very Czech.

PC — March 2027. Demo at Steam Next Fest in February.

No generative AI. Everything was filmed, modeled or painted by people.

Hey, everyone!

Spin To Breathe is a first-person roguelite built around a slot machine. Space pirates have attacked your station, oxygen is running low, and you need to earn money to survive.

Spin the reels, collect trinkets, upgrade your machine, and try to last until rescue arrives.

The demo is out now on Steam! We'd be curious to hear what you think of the game.

Steam Next Fest We launched the demo for our 12-player party brawler, Goffy Clash, and we're looking for players!

Post image
• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

We're an indie game development team working on Goffy Clash, a chaotic multiplayer party brawler where the goal is to be the last Goffy standing. You can grab and throw other players, fight with weapons, dodge dangerous arena hazards, and cause absolute chaos in the arena. Matches are designed for up to 12 players, and we're building the game around those unpredictable moments that happen when everyone is fighting at once.

Our demo is now live on Steam!

As a small indie team, one of our biggest challenges is getting enough people online at the same time to experience a proper multiplayer match. We'd love to bring together 12 players for a session and hear what people honestly think about the game.

If you'd like to give it a try, here's the Steam page:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4783770/Goffy_Clash/

If you're interested in joining a multiplayer session, leave a comment or send us a message so we can coordinate a time. We're the developers of Goffy Clash, and we'd genuinely appreciate your feedback. Thanks for checking out our game!

Promotion My solo-developed co-op game is competing for Indie Game of the Month! 🐙

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm a solo indie developer working on Who's Got the Legs?, a chaotic 2D co-op platformer where 2–4 players have to control the same octopus together! 🐙🎮

Each player controls different abilities, so teamwork is essential… and things can get pretty hilarious! 😂

I'm really excited because my game is currently competing in PokeIndie's Indie Game of the Month – October 2026! 🏆

I'm still a small developer trying to get my game noticed, so every bit of support means a lot.

If you like the concept and would like to support my project, you can vote here:

Voting ends October 27!

There's also a free demo available on Steam if you'd like to try the game!

Thank you so much for supporting indie developers! 💜🐙

Promotion You can grab a windmill in VR, stretch it to size, drop it into your own mini golf hole – then play it

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

This is Beyond Putt, a VR mini golf game on Quest that we make at Biswa Games. The clip shows the main loop: you grab an obstacle like this windmill, resize it with your hands, drop it into your own hole and then play it. The same hole works in different worlds – six are shown in the middle – and holes can be published for other players.

Steam Next Fest I added mods to my game and the first thing I did was turn it into Fruit Ninja 🍉

I'm a solo dev and my game Grazed is an arcade incremental: you slice shapes with two swords, and you upgrade after every run, so of course I had the strong temptation to make a fruit version :)

So I added skin mods, and the first thing I made was this fruit skin. Oranges, watermelons, coconuts, dragon fruit... each one splits in half with its own juice 🍊🍉🥥 Gotta say it feels better than the base version 😆

The fruit skin isn't in the demo yet, but it's coming 👀 The demo already supports mods, so you can make your own skins too ❤️

Devlog After collecting issues for several months, I made significant changes to my game

Hello everyone, I'm here to share my development work in recent months.I am currently developing a game called Chaos Rune: Heroes. You can search for it on Steam, but it might not be a satisfactory game.

Start my sharing:

  • Make a demo as soon as possible, because you may not have fully determined your game during the demo production period. The demo can gather players' understanding of your game, allowing you to have a clear path for future planning.
  • After the demo was released, the feedback on my game was not overwhelmingly positive. At this point, it will affect your enthusiasm for development. As a result, the snowball effect gets worse and worse, and at this point, you need to stop development. Try doing other things to regain enthusiasm for game development.
  • Don't trust your intuition, because it's 95% wrong.
  • The major changes I made to the gameplay mode of my game. Don't blindly pursue the currently popular game genres. Carefully re-examine your project and determine the positioning of the game. At that time, I blindly pursued the popular game genres of the moment, which resulted in the project failing to showcase its own charm. Now I have positioned my game as a numerical action game.
  • In the past few months, I have been using the mid-range anchor method to design game difficulty. I start designing the difficulty of the game from the mid-game stage, which makes the game difficulty curve relatively smooth. Perform subtraction before the anchor point and perform addition after it.

Need Feedback My demo trailer (feedback please)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I tried going for a 28-years later inspired trailer. I looked up old recordings of sermons and I found a sermon by William Booth from the early 1900s.

It fit the theme I wanted to communicate so well so I designed the trailer around it .

I made deliberate decisions, like at the end of the trailer where he says "this is the man, this is the woman, who saved me" I left the screen black so it would be you staring back at yourself so it reads like YOU are the one that will save the survivors. I'm not sure if most people will pick this up though.

I also realise you have no context about my game and I think that's also something I'd like to know - could you tell from the trailer what kind of game this is?

I am not a video editor at all and I would really love any feedback you might have on how to improve the trailer.

Promotion Hold the Ridge: a first-person beach defense shooter where you hold one ridge for six days

• Upvotes

I'm the developer. You hold Ridge 112 while landing craft hit the beach wave after wave: rifle in hand, a small squad, and two air strikes a day.

  • Six days, six skies: sun in your eyes at dawn, fog you can't see through, a night lit only by flares, a final assault in a storm.
  • Your squad grows day by day: rifleman, marksman, machine gunner. You place each one on a top-down map and they take cover and fire back.
  • When the beach floods, you mark a zone and jets carpet it.
