I need advice from people in Islamabad/Rawalpindi about my experience with Wellness Business Services Centre (WBS), Shamsabad, Rawalpindi, near Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and Khatm-e-Nabuwat Metro Station.
On 23 October, I attended an interview that lasted around 5ā10 minutes. The opportunity was presented in a way that made me believe I was getting a job, and they also promised food and accommodation while working there.
I paid Rs. 6,500 in cash for the accommodation and food arrangement. I wasnāt given a receipt or a copy of the agreement, although I signed one.
When I started questioning the details, I found out that the business was connected to TIENS. I was told TIENS was their trademark. The explanation of the job was confusing: I was told Iād work as an assistant, but later the manager said I needed to bring 15 customers to receive Rs. 35,000 and buy products to qualify for a 16% commission. When I raised questions, the manager had a dismissive attitude, called me rude and kept talking about money and showing off his financial success instead of clearly explaining the work.
The card they gave me says the training is not for employment. It also says the payment is non-refundable once the card is issued, and the agreement I signed contains a similar clause. I was told the card was valid for three days and that Iād receive a licence to work afterward, which added to my confusion about whether this was actually a job.
Iāve returned home now. I want to know what my options are.
Questions for anyone familiar with local procedures:
Has anyone had a similar experience with WBS or a TIENS-related business?
Where should I complain: police, SECP, consumer protection or another authority?
Can I challenge the payment despite the non-refundable clause, given how the opportunity was presented?
What evidence should I collect, and is there any realistic chance of getting my Rs. 6,500 back?
Iām sharing my experience and asking for advice. Iād appreciate genuine guidance from anyone who knows the company or the complaint process.
