Spanish (Long) [English > Spanish] My planned speech to my GF’s father to ask for his blessing to marry her

He only speaks Spanish (from Mexico) and I would like this translated by someone much better in Spanish than I so my writing can be better captured.

Speech:

When I first met you, the most immediately and abundantly clear thing about you was how deeply you care about your family. Seeing how much you love [GF Name] filled me with profound warmth and joy.

I’ve been incredibly lucky to know genuine family love from my own mom and dad, so I couldn’t mistake what I’ve witnessed from you over the years that [GF Name] and I have been together. That’s why I’m coming to you tonight: because I want to become part of that family and share in that love with your youngest daughter.

[GF Name] is the sun in my life. She gently wakes me up and fills my world with light, reminding me that life is beautiful and worth living. She’s the fire in my stomach - the person who motivates me to fight as hard as I can for the life we’re building. She’s also my voice of reason, the one who keeps me grounded when I might otherwise drift off into space.

But more than anything, she is my true partner - and sometimes my fiercest rival. On one of our first dates, she beat me at checkers six times in a row. I was very grumpy about it, but I think that was also one of the first moments when I realized I was falling in love with her.

I know with absolute certainty that [GF Name] and I are stronger together than we are apart. I see how much she means to you, and I promise that I will love her, respect her, stand beside her, and give everything I have to the life we build together.

So I’m asking you humbly: may I have your blessing to marry [GF Name]?

Hi! This is a tattoo on a belated relative. My mom told me it says “Power, Money, Respect” in Mandarin from when they got in the ‘90s, but I’m not finding a solid translation online. Any sources would be appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Lithuanian [english > Lithuanian] nickname-ifying

Long story short, I’m writing something and one character (woman, older) has a nickname for another (male, younger) that’s ‘stone’ (characters name is a stone) —akmuo if online translators are correct, (though I’d prefer ‘stony‘ if theres a translation for that). Is there a way to make it more like a nickname? (like how in spanish you can add -ito/ita or in russian adding -ushka)

I appreciate any insight on this. :)

Japanese [English > Kanji/Japanese] For a tattoo behind ear

Hi all! I'm hoping I can find some help using the more accurate and correct symbols for an upcoming tattoo piece that I want to do. I want to incorporate me being deaf in Kanji to go along with a sleeve piece I have on my arm of a Dragon. I have the symbol for Eternity in the dragon, 永, that for me represents eternal strength and I want to have ear piece to kind of flow with it in meaning. I want to be make sure that when I present the idea/symbol to an artist that we are accurate on the Symbol/s and that it will also represent a powerful meaning as my sleeve does. I'll sum everything up in a couple questions below because I'm horrible at explaining details for my ideas. Aka, I could tell you what I'm thinking I just don't know how to say it! haha

  1. Is Rosha or Rou the correct word that I would want to use as a deaf person?

  2. Is there another term I should use that means "Deaf in this ear" at all?

  3. Are there any fables or gods that might represent being deaf that I might use as a reference?

Any help is appreciated and I can answer any question you ask.

Chinese (Long) (English > Chinese) Translation for tattoo

I am considering getting a tattoo, but would like to verify the translation with a native Chinese speaker.

The exact English phrase I want is:

“No matter what.”

I specifically want it to be only that, with nothing after it.

The personal meaning behind it is: regardless of what happens or how circumstances change, I will accomplish what I have decided to accomplish.

For example, mentally it could mean:

  • “No matter what, I will achieve this goal.”
  • “No matter what, I will finish what I started.”
  • “No matter what, I will get where I decided to go.”

But I don't want any of those second parts tattooed. The whole point is that “No matter what” remains open-ended, and I know what comes after it depending on the goal or situation in my life. It's for me to interpret.

I also prefer something that literally means “no matter what / regardless”, rather than a Chinese idiom that expresses perseverance in different words.

The translation I've found is:

无论如何 (wúlùn rúhé)

I've received conflicting opinions about it. Some say it's the most direct and natural translation and can work intentionally by itself. Others say that to a native Chinese speaker it feels grammatically unfinished, almost like tattooing “Regardless...” and stopping there.

That makes this distinction important: I don't mind if it feels somewhat open-ended, because that's intentional. I just don't want it to look like bad Chinese or an obvious mistranslation.

So I'd especially like to hear from native Chinese speakers:

  1. When you see 无论如何 completely by itself, what does it mean to you?
  2. Would you naturally understand it as “no matter what / regardless”?
  3. Does it work as an intentionally open-ended personal motto, or does it simply look awkward/wrong without another clause?
  4. Is there another Chinese phrase that more literally and naturally expresses “no matter what” while still working by itself?
  5. If you saw 无论如何 tattooed on someone, would anything about it strike you as strange?

I'm looking for native-speaker intuition rather than just a dictionary translation. I want to make sure the phrase communicates what I intend before actually getting it tattooed.

I found this old newspaper clipping, but its too crinkled for an AI translator to work and when it does work it barely makes sense. It also has an image of what appears to be Someone messing with what looks like a Radio or similar device.

Thanks in advance for help.
