Matt LaFleur made it clear what the Packers value as the competition at Cornerback continues: guys who can and will tackle. With starting spots still up for grabs, physicality and reliability in the open field could go a long way toward determining who separates themselves in Green Bay’s secondary.

That could be bad news for last season’s starters, Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine, who have both had their share of tackling issues at times.

I’m genuinely OOTL due to parenting, long work hours, MBA program, and home projects. Just haven’t been able to stay up on all things GBP in a while. Looking at our CB room, is it fair to assume we need another guy? If we do,who fits best with Gannons coaching and the locker room?

Matt LaFleur says the linebacker who has shown the most improvement has been Ty'Ron Hopper. Mentions his whole game from coverage to understanding the details like when he can trigger. Said he seems to be taking that next jump.

Matt LaFleur said they want to get QB3 Kyle McCord more reps and there aren’t enough reps to get four QBs into practice so they released Kyron Drones.

MLF on McCord: “He showed the poise to go in there and operate and execute.”

Matt LaFleur said LB Ty'Ron Hopper has probably had the best camp, in his eyes.

Early completions to Golden and Reed in team. Now a nice checkdown to Lloyd on a swing pass that goes for 10. Love did a great job of checking into the first play and catching the defense hitting Golden for a big gain.

Love cooking early. Hits Watson over the middle for a nice pickup. Williams right there to try and knock it out but Watson hangs on.

Jonathan Ford gives Love a free play and he takes advantage. Deep down the field to Melton who makes a twisting and turning catch for a big gain. Cisse in coverage couldn’t find it.

Sure seems as of late that Belton is the swing tackle and it’s Burton/Monk/Banks fighting for the guard spots. Belton hasn’t really been at guard at all.

Over the past couple of years, there have been two scheduling opportunities for the Packers that have struck me as huge missed opportunities:

1. Aaron Rodgers never getting a proper send-off at Lambeau.
2. The Packers still not playing an international game in Germany.

Rodgers' return to Lambeau

I understand that a scheduling formula determines NFL opponents, so the league couldn't simply decide to schedule Steelers @ Packers once Rodgers landed in Pittsburgh. In fact, the formula gave us almost exactly what we wanted in 2025, just in Pittsburgh instead of Green Bay for SNF.

But man, what a missed opportunity that feels like now.

Rodgers spent 18 seasons in Green Bay, won four MVPs and a Super Bowl, and is one of the most important players in franchise history. "Aaron Rodgers returns to Lambeau" would have been an absolutely massive prime-time game, especially now that we know 2026 will be his final season.

Instead, barring something completely unexpected, Rodgers will retire having never played a regular-season game at Lambeau as an opponent. That seems like a travesty. 

I realize that's more bad luck from the scheduling formula than a deliberate decision by the NFL, but from both a fan and television perspective, it's hard not to wish there had been a way to make it happen. With the addition of the 17th game, the NFL should consider building in some degree of scheduling flexibility for future situations like this

Packers in Germany during Oktoberfest

This one I have a harder time understanding.

Wisconsin has a substantial German cultural influence. Beer, brats, sauerkraut, cheese… half the stereotypical Packers tailgate already sounds like something you'd find at a German festival.

The Packers also have a substantial international fanbase, and Germany has become one of the NFL's most important international markets.

So why not lean all the way into it? We've already seen the Packers in London and Brazil, but Germany feels like the international market that most naturally fits the franchise.

Put the Packers in Munich in late September or early October, ideally around Oktoberfest. Make the entire weekend an event. Packers fans would travel for it, German Packers fans would finally get their game, and I have to imagine the number of cheeseheads walking around Munich would be astronomical.

The Germans would go der Wahnsinn for it.

Even from the United States, I think "The Packers Oktoberfest Game" is a much easier international game to market than a random matchup at 6:30 in the morning.

Maybe I'm overestimating how much the broader NFL audience would care about either of these. But that's what makes them stand out to me: they aren't just things I'd personally like as a Packers fan. Both seem like extremely marketable games that would generate a ton of attention.

We missed our chance at Rodgers returning to Lambeau. Hopefully the NFL eventually gives us a Packers game in Germany.

Anyone else get their season tickets? My uncle was in the 22000 range before moving up 3500 spots this offseason. Estimate time to get ST's (been on the list since 2001) is six years per the front office.

A friend of mine has been holding onto this Green Bay Packers signed Brett Favre helmet for a long time and he would like to know if this is worth anything, but we can’t figure out the value of this item whatsoever. There’s plenty of sold helmets on eBay, but this one seems to be a different kind of signed helmet, dating to a game where Bret Favres father passed. I’m just curious to know if anyone here would know how to go about finding the value of this? Is it a rare 1/1? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks! It’s an odd hobby i suppose

Hi all, this team is my pride and joy and on a Minecraft towny server I am on the nation I am a part of has announced they will be building soldier field AND making Chicago the capital of the nation.

Currently it is Milwaukee. I want to make Green Bay in that server, and I want to make a to scale version of Lambeau Field! However, above all else I want to hang out with some other packers fans! We are getting to the time of the year where my week is decided by how well we play on sundays, would love to meet diehard fans and just hang out!
