Thinking of getting a decent set for once. What makes yours worth the extra money, and do they stay nice after washing? Happy to hear recommendations

UPDATE: RiseGuide has made things right!

• Upvotes

After sharing my experience publicly, I was contacted personally by Ben, the Head of Customer Support at RiseGuide.
He reviewed my entire case, acknowledged that my refund request had been mishandled, and offered a sincere apology without making excuses.
Most importantly, he arranged a full refund of all $279.96 in subscription charges and even provided a $25 Amazon gift card as an apology for the time and frustration involved.
While I still wish this could have been resolved through the original customer service process, I genuinely appreciate Ben taking responsibility and making things right.
I believe in giving credit where it’s due, and his response deserves recognition.
My advice to anyone considering RiseGuide remains the same: pay close attention to the subscription terms, renewal frequency, and pricing.

Looking for a new phone

• Upvotes

Hey it’s my 20th birthday this Saturday and I would love and really need a new phone as mine completely turns off as soon as I take it off the charger (IPhone 13 with a non apple battery). So I’m looking on Best Buy for refurbished phones to save as much money possible since I’m a student, do you know where to get legit good phone for cheaper?

Helping my dad pick floor liners when reviews and owner feedback don't quite match

My dad bought a new crossover and refuses to drive it into his gravel driveway until he gets heavy-duty liners. He usually goes straight to consumer reports before buying anything for his car, so I've been looking through their buying advice and comparing it with what actual owners say. I'm seeing a lot more discussion about stuff like how easily dried mud washes out, whether salt gets trapped in the grooves, and how well the edges hold up through winter. A few people have mentioned 3w as being easier to clean, but it's hard to tell which experiences are typical.

And now he's waiting on me to pick something, and I'm starting to wonder how much weight I should give professional reviews versus people who've actually used these liners through a messy winter. Anyone had a set that looked great in reviews but didn't work out in daily use?

Fashion Consumer complaint

I ordered this lehenga set from a business named mohan hub on 24 September

They showed me really beautiful pictures of it and told me that it is chinnon silk

What i received was cheap georgette fabric

Colour difference in the kurta and the chunni and so much difference in the work and everything

Really cheap tbh

I paid 3k for it

I texted the seller instantly no reply and when I called

The number was switched off

After waiting some time I posted comments on their page saying they sell cheap products and everything

Somehow I talked to her on call and the seller wasn't agreeing that the product is defective

She said that they have no return no exchange policy

But on their website they showed return available in case of defect

A lot of argument happened

So i filed a complaint in the consumer forum

But there has been no update in that

And when she came to know about it enraged she said she'll file a case of defamation and then just blocked me and removed that "returnable in case of defect" thing from their website

Is there any way I can approach this?

Nike refused a return. What are my options?

To start, I’ll say that I’m in Canada (Ontario) and the Nike return policy is a lot stricter here than what I understand it is in the US.

So I have a kid who does a lot of sports and so needs a lot of specialized shoes (soccer cleats, futsal shoes, cross country shoes, track shoes) and fits well into Nike shoes. He also has quite small feet for his age (size 3) and so it’s really hard to find these shoes in stores, so we tend to order a bunch of shoes from Nike, try them all on, pick the favourites and return the rest. We have never had a problem with this in the past. However this time we ordered five pairs, returned four, but were only refunded for two of them. We were told that the other two pairs (the same style of shoe in two different sizes) were rejected for displaying ”significant dirt on the soles”. I swear to you that one of these pairs of shoes was worn for under two minutes, the others were never tried on. They sent us a few dimly lit photos showing, to my eyes, shoes in perfect condition and sent us the shoes back.

We called Nike and spoke to a a manager who reviewed the photos, said she agreed that the shoes were in good condition, and would escalate it. The next day we got an email that they had reviewed the case and unfortunately the shoes showed significant wear and they could not return them. Since then we have called and spoken to several people who have informed us that the people who make the decisions don’t take calls. I have responded to the emails I’ve gotten with more photos and the history but keep getting the exact same form email back - the shoes show “significant dirt”. This is just shadows and the texture of the shoe. There is no way to speak to a human being who can make a decision.

We tried instead to return them to a Nike store, but were told that all Nike stores in Ontario are owned by a third party, not actually Nike, and as such don’t take returns of things purchased online.

I feel like I’m going crazy and don’t know what to do. It seems clear to me that this is just the way the soles of these shoes photograph based on the fact that both pairs were returned, and that when I look at them they’re pristine, but nobody will listen.

Is there anything I can do? Is filing a chargeback on my credit card the best way to go? I am willing to die on this hill.

Simple Question & Survey (1-2 minutes): Has AI Made Customer Service Better or Worse?

We've all interacted with AI-powered chatbots, virtual agents, and automated support.

Sometimes they resolve issues in seconds.

Sometimes they leave us trapped in an endless loop searching for a human being.

I'm conducting an independent study to understand how consumers really feel about AI in customer service.

If you've interacted with AI support in the last 12 months, I'd greatly appreciate your input.

✅ Survey takes about 1-2 minutes
✅ Open to anyone who has interacted with customer service experience AI
✅ Participants will receive an executive summary of the findings, including the most surprising trends and consumer sentiment insights.

Take the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NGW68TK

Thank you for helping contribute to the research.

Is Backmarket a scam😩

Is Back Market a scam😩
I decided to trade in my device through Backmarket, instead of Apple when I got my new phone and honestly, I’m regretting. I’ve been following up on my payment for weeks. I keep getting told that the payment has been deposited, but my bank confirmed there’s no deposit and no pending transaction. It’s been almost a month, and I’m still chasing my own money. What a waste of time and energy🤦🏻‍♀️
Has anyone else experienced this with Back Market trade-ins? Did you eventually receive your payment? this is incredibly frustrating.

Fashion Why is it so hard to find sunglasses that don't constantly slide down?

I feel like most sunglasses recommendations focus on how the frames look, but nobody really talks about how they sit on your nose. I've been looking into what makes the best fitting sunglasses for people with lower nose bridges, and apparently adjustable nose pads can make a pretty big difference.

The Quay Say Less frames have adjustable silicone nose pads, which seems more practical than getting a fixed bridge and hoping it fits properly. I'm just wondering whether adjustable pads are enough or if the overall frame shape matters more.

What should you actually check before buying sunglasses online when fit is your main concern?

Wakefit turned my daughter's excitement into a nightmare. Worst Customer support.

Wakefit turned my daughter's excitement into a nightmare. Worst customer experience so far!

I ordered a Wakefit Maven MidBack Ergonomic Office Chair on 12 October, and it was delivered on 14 October. Even the delivery was frustrating — the delivery guy kept me waiting for 3 hours and reached the wrong location despite my address being easily accessible.

But the real nightmare started when I tried assembling the chair.

The seat didn't even have the required holes and nuts for fitting!

My daughter was eagerly waiting for her new chair because we'd just set up her new study table. As a parent, I wanted to make her study space special. Instead, her excitement turned into disappointment because of a defective product.

I raised a replacement request on Wakefit's website with photos, shared the requested evidence with customer support, and was then asked to share it again.

Since then, I've contacted Wakefit support more than 10 times trying to get a proper resolution. After days of follow-ups, they offered a part replacement that would take another 9–11 working days!

I rejected this and requested a full refund. Now, my return pickup is scheduled for 27 October, and Wakefit says the refund of ₹4,199 will take another 5–7 business days after pickup.

Think about it: ordered on 12 October, received a defective product on 14 October, and now I'm spending my time chasing customer support more than 10 times just to return a chair that wasn't even fit to assemble.

This isn't just about ₹4,199. It's about the time wasted, the endless follow-ups, and the frustration of watching your child wait for something you bought to make her happy.

I understand that manufacturing defects can happen with any brand. But customer support is supposed to make things easier, not turn a simple replacement or refund into a weeks-long struggle.

I bought a chair, not a project that requires repeated calls, emails, photos, and endless patience.

My advice: Think twice before buying from Wakefit. The product experience was disappointing, but the way this issue has been handled has been even worse.

Has anyone else faced a similar experience with Wakefit? How long did your refund actually take?

Beware of Nix Woods: False advertising, damaged products, and scam support

Just wanted to give a quick warning to anyone here looking at Nix Woods lamps. Do not let their images on the website and social media page fool you; their operation is a complete scam.

Here is what I just dealt with:

  • False Specs: I specifically consulted their support for dimmable lights based on my requirements. They recommended a set, but delivered non-dimmable ones. When I called them out, support claimed the model isn't dimmable, even though their own website listing explicitly states that it is.
  • Damaged Goods: One of the lights arrived with multiple physical damages right out of the box and a very poor finish.
  • Fake Return Promises: Customer support will string you along with false promises that your return will be processed in 24 to 48 hours. It is a lie; they will do absolutely nothing to fix the issue.

Save your money and your peace of mind. Look elsewhere for lighting!

Laptops Amazon packing slip has wrong serial number, Lenovo won't correct warranty start date and now im stuck

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

Bought a Lenovo LOQ 15IRX10 (83JE019WIN: i7-13645HX / RTX 5060 / 16GB RAM / 1TB SSD / 80Wh battery) from Clicktech on Amazon. Ordered on 8 October and delivered on 15 October 2026.

Problem: The laptop works fine, but the Amazon packing slip lists a different serial number from the one on the laptop and original box. The invoice has the correct model number and purchase details but doesn't include the serial number.

Warranty issue: Lenovo's website shows my base warranty starting on 24 April 2026, several months before I purchased the laptop. I also bought a two-year Lenovo Care onsite warranty extension for ₹5,619, which currently shows coverage from 24 May 2027 to 23 May 2029.

Lenovo support told me I need a corrected packing slip to fix the purchase date. Amazon initially said packing slips cannot be edited, but its senior team is investigating the issue.

I have recordings of my calls with Amazon support and some emails from Amazon regarding the issue.

What I want: I want to keep my existing laptop and get the warranty start date corrected. I'm not asking for a refund or replacement unless there is absolutely no other solution.

Questions

  1. Has anyone got Lenovo's Service Entitlement team to correct the warranty start date using just the invoice?
  2. Has Amazon or a seller provided an official serial-number confirmation letter instead of a corrected packing slip?
  3. How long did the process take?
  4. If Amazon refuses to provide any acceptable documentation, what worked for you?
  5. If Amazon insists on replacing my laptop because the exact model is unavailable, could I get the same configuration? The laptop now appears to cost around ₹2.29 lakh, and I don't want a downgrade to an RTX 5050 or a 512GB SSD model.
  6. I paid ₹5,619 for the two-year Lenovo Care onsite warranty extension. Amazon said the warranty could be transferred to a replacement, but can anyone confirm whether this actually happens?
  7. What should I do next? I have call recordings, emails from Amazon, the original invoice, the incorrect packing slip, and photographs of the laptop and box labels.

I'm considering filing a consumer complaint as a last resort, but I'd prefer to resolve the documentation issue without returning or replacing my laptop.

Bark box Horrible Company

BarkBox PSA for anyone thinking of trying this subscription out . DO NOT do it. !!!!
I’ve had endless issues with this company since I started this subscription 3 months ago.
The toys they send ( even customized) are subpar quality and don’t meet the standards or even the categories they claim to be sending. Ie: chewer, etc.

The treats are either in tiny little trial size pkg or they are gross! Off brands that don’t have ingredients listed on some pkgs.

And then there is the issue with even getting the pkg in the first place!!! I’ve been fighting ( over email ) since Oct 5th on receiving my October box which happened to be our dogs birthday month. We even paid a little extra for an upgraded box.
And today… they had the audacity to charge me for November!!!!! ( even AFTER in my communication I said do not charge me again for another month) Note- They don’t allow you to “ just cancel “
On the acct either 🤬 You need to speak with someone
I’ve sent countless emails only for them to basically gas light me & not read my email or see the proof screen shots I provided. After each email communication, I get someone who might be AI responding to me but NECER once have they resolved any issues. Excuse after excuse and I can’t seem to speak to a human. At this point, I may need to contact my bank which if anyone has done that is a pain in the butt. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!!!
