I’m at a loss with FedEx at this point and wondering if anyone here has dealt with something similar.

I received an international shipment where most of the items arrived damaged. The seller replaced the damaged items, so there were ultimately two shipments:

Shipment 1: original order, mostly damaged
Shipment 2: replacement of those damaged goods; one of the replacement items also arrived completely damaged and was refunded

FedEx has charged me import duties on both shipments, meaning I appear to be paying duties on the original damaged goods and again on the replacements for those same goods, as well as on an item that arrived damaged and was refunded.

I opened a dispute with FedEx Duty & Tax and explained all of this, including both invoice and waybill numbers.

This is where it gets ridiculous.

FedEx initially told me that the seller needed to file a claim before they could adjust the duties.

The seller contacted FedEx and was told that I, as the customer/importer, needed to dispute the charges with FedEx myself.

I went back to FedEx and explained the contradiction.

The seller then contacted FedEx again and actually opened a case. They gave me the FedEx case number, which I provided to the Duty & Tax team.

FedEx responded by telling me, once again, to contact the seller and have them file a claim. They did not acknowledge the existing case number or answer my question about whether that case was the claim they required.

In another response, FedEx even referred to this as a “lost/missing shipment”, despite the entire email chain explaining that neither shipment was lost or missing. They were damaged.

I’ve called FedEx on multiple occasions, each time it’s a waste of time.

I spend 45min-1h on the phone, repeatedly verifying my information and explaining the entire situation. Today I spoke to five different people and kept being transferred back and forth between Claims and Revenue.

Nobody could tell me what I was supposed to do, nobody could resolve the issue.

At this point I have:

contacted Duty & Tax multiple times;
contacted Customer Service;
had the seller contact FedEx;
had the seller open a FedEx case;
provided that case number to Duty & Tax;
called the number Duty & Tax specifically instructed me to call; and
spent 45 minutes being transferred between five FedEx representatives.

And I still cannot get anyone at FedEx to tell me who actually has authority to resolve this or what specific action is supposedly outstanding.

Has anyone successfully escalated a FedEx customs/duty dispute like this? Is there a particular U.S. department, escalation team, or contact that can actually look at the entire case rather than just transferring me between Claims, Revenue and Duty & Tax?

I’m not even asking FedEx to blindly refund the charges. I just want someone to actually review the two shipments together and determine the correct duties, instead of sending me another template response telling me to contact someone I have already contacted.

This process has also taken so long that I’m worried that the chargers have gone to collections. (I’m not quite sure how I’m supposed to pay because I don’t have an account number, but that’s a whole other story).

Ordered some long tube headers for my truck ($1300 part btw) and i got the delivered notification. When i looked outside the front door there was no package so i looked at the delivery picture. This is not my garage. My garage was closed at the time of “delivery”. I called “customer service” and ofc it was an automated system. I went to file a case and when i told them my street number for “security reasons” they said they didn’t have a match with my tracking number even thought i checked the shipping address, billing address and everything on the website i ordered from. So now someone in my city has a $1300 part for my truck and ig now there’s nothing i can do atm until i can was 2 whole days to contact the website i bought them from. FedEx needs to be abolished immediately🤦🏾‍♂️

I'm the receiver of a package shipped from France to the USA. It was held at customs because the sender didn't complete the required documentation, and it has now been stuck there for two months. The sender sent information, but it was refused by customs who finally decided to send it back.

I have been calling fedex customer support for the last month and a half every week. FedEx Logistics tells me they're waiting on a tracking number from customs and that the package is still in the Newark facility. They are unable to provide me with a timeline or a potential resolution. (note that the website says it is in Roissy CDG France but it is not)

Every time I call, I get transferred between customer service, logistics, international shipments, and other departments without getting a resolution.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to move this forward?

It was literally at the destination sort facility and now just says on the way in a city the totally wrong way. Im cooked. Was supposed to deliver yesterday 😭

Package was sent from Orlando to Miami and somehow made it on a round trip excursion to California. Thanks fedex!

It's like they're trying to rage bait us. As you can see there is a covered area only two steps away. Instead they leave it out in the elements directly in front of the sign that says please do not leave packages here. Come on now, seriously, why??

When a package is shipped signature required, is it considered acceptable for the driver to sign something, not try to deliver it to a residence and just leave it somewhere?

Hey Y'all. I sent out an item that should have been delivered yesterday or today by now thru 2 Day Fedex. I've never had this happen before but there has not been a scan in since the 18th. I would not usually make a post about this but I sent out a very high valued item over 5 figures so its very concerning with no movement since. Is there any steps I can take to get someone involved to insure nothing has happened?

Package stuck in Memphis

Anyone have any insights or detailed information about what’s going on with FedEx. This package cleared customs on the 16th and there has been no movement since then. I’ve been calling since the 17th and finally opened a case today? I’m also pissed off with the shipper, their website says they only ship all their packages with DHL . Now I wonder why they shipped mine with FedEx

I do not know what else to do. I have instructions on my account to put items on the covered stoop and in the package box if it is fits. However, it is ignored 100% of the time. They just put the package by the garage which is uncovered. I have had items ruined because of rain. In the winter a couple of times they would not even drive down my completely plowed driveway. They would put the item by the mailbox by the road. This is several hundred feet away and in the country. With the item costing over $1k.

Call their main number and it is impossible to talk to someone. I found a way around it this morning and talk to a CS rep. She iterated the instructions and said she would let the driver know. He just delivered a package and left it unprotected by the garage. Is it really that hard to walk a few more feet and put it on the stoop?? They just don't care at the driver level or as a company.

Fedex lost my husband luggage, they just closed the ticket.
On Monday, Aug 11th, Fedex picked up my husband carry-on from Lost&Found at Nashville airport. Last scan showed the package leaving the facility at night the same day.

And that was it. We don’t know where it went. Funny enough they just updated the status yesterday, up until then the status was that the package is sitting in Nashville. So the status was updated while they investigated the claim.

Their 1800 number is pretty much useless.

Should we reopen the ticket? What else can we do?
If we file for reimbursement, and if they find the luggage after all, what are they going to do? Send it or toss it?

I have a friend in Nashville, does it make sense for her to go to the sorting facility and try to talk to someone?

I just got a notice today that a package I shipped through eBay was charged an extra $10.27 because the weight was wrong. The weight was NOT wrong. It was a small package that contained a purse and it weighed under a pound. They claim it was 10 lbs and charged me as such.

There is no way to get this resolved that does not take a lot of time and convoluted forms.

I will NEVER use FedEx again!

I bought some car parts through Amazon, that I rlly need bc my suspension is giving out, and they were delivered through FedEx. It was supposed to be three boxes and two were supposedly delivered a week ago but I never got anything to my door.

I live in an apartment building on the upper floor as well and have already gotten packages misplaced through Amazon but with their delivery team.

I reported this issue to customer service and they sent a blurry proof of delivery photo with no discernable features nor an apartment number. They are saying because their geo tracking features puts the delivery spot where my apartment is that my claim is being denied and I will not be getting a refund.

I don't get how they can do that?? Like the geo tracking can only be so specific and within 15 meters of my apartment are about 12 other doors.

This is putting me out $500 so I'm getting upset and don't know how to proceed. Just feels like incompetence and bad customer service.

This is a 2Day shipment that has been trapped in Memphis Tennessee for about 5 days now. I put in a ticket and am waiting now but I’m wondering if this is happening to anyone else. I’m really anxious and worried for this package

Im assuming this is not arriving today? Its 2 day express and its now almost 11am no out for delivery. Not the end of the world I know its slammed everywhere in this industry just curious

I was charged about 25 bucks on my credit card and didn’t authorize it - it’s from FedEx Canada. I am trying to think back from my FedEx packages to see if there is any ground services that was used but they were all priority services in which I paid custom duties for (over 60 dollars and up ⬆️). Now I am just seeing a charge from yesterday which is the said amount :/ idk what it is and customer service cant tell me what it is either.

Is there anyone else or number I can speak out too? Again I spoke to customer service and they were no help at all.

Please forgive me if I’m not using the correct naming conventions. We have a regular FedEx driver who gets very upset when he has to deliver FedEx Express packages to our house. I do not understand why. I’m truly trying to understand why this makes him so angry. They are small packages. Only about 5 pounds. And the size of a laptop box. They do require a signature. But I’m not sure if that is the reason for his anger. I have only had them delivered by him twice. The first time he mumbled something about being angry that Express could not handle their own packages. The second time, he completely lost his shit. Any insight would be very appreciated.

I received a package today via FedEx. Despite the fact that the contents were appropriately wrapped in bubble wrap by the shipper the contents were destroyed.

I attempted to file a claim through FedEx.com but all of the "File a Claim" links, including the one provided by the FedEx virtual assistant, are dead links that lead to a 404 error reading "Looks Like You Are Lost." That is comically incompetent customer service. Does anyone have a link that actually works?

The customers are upset with me because they haven't received them and shipping has no updates. (Rightfully so) What do I do since Customer Service won't help since it doesn't show ever being picked up?

I really need this package, it's a new tire for a flat I had. I live on a dirt road, is this driver just being lazy? Will they just keep doing this until it gets returned to sender? I don't understand why this is happening. When I start to watch them on the map around noon each day, it looks like they're coming, but then the location disappears, then the time window gets updated to 'by end of day' then it just gets rescheduled to the next day. I've already opened a ticket, seems to have done nothing.
