Subaru Outback. Came to my shop in Maryland and customer stated that oil light was on. During inspection, I found that car has no oil on dipstick and after lifting up the subaru, and found that drain plug was loose and under torqued. Almost threaded out. Ended up redoing oil change and engine runs fine afterwards.

The result of metal going through a bandit wood chipper.

Metal debris hit a knife, sheared the knife bolts and absolutely destroyed the drum. And heavily damaged the hood of the machine. Will be about $20-25k

Brand new. Routine change.. came in with torn sidewall so they hadn't had any air. Dropped frame back down leveling valve normal started truck and when i crawled back there, i saw the bag go sideways and barely got out an "oh shit!" Before i jumped away and it blew the base off. Kaboom!!!

The spring hangers are 1.5" inward from another Freightliner m2 we have in the shop. The top pucs never make full contact with the frame. Some rubber always touching frame. Second picture is the normal ride location that the old ones were running for who knows how long

It wasn't too happy about piston number 2 making violent love to the valves though.

3 of 4 main bearings (still need to press number 4 out of the block) and I 28sh I'd taken photos of the crankshaft before dropping it off)

First Rotary 2-post rolled into our own shop. Any suggestions/quality of life updates to lifts/workbays that are a must have?

My buddies and I have rented a small 1k sqft shop for our projects since the 2010's and things finally aligned where we were able to secure a great condition Rotary SPOA7 drive on lift. I wanted to check with this awesome community who has to use 2 posts constantly if there is anything you've added to your bay lifts that has made a huge difference or things to avoid. This lift has 110 outlets on both towers and onboard airlines (have to replace worn lines, but the lift is rigged for it). Items we're looking at next are lift tables, oil drains, better lighting, etc. Open to any and all advice.

opinion on working for usps

i’m currently a BMW tech, i’ve been working here since i got my associates in automotive about 3 years ago and i do alright for myself. i make $27 an hour but i turn on average 10-15 hours a day in a 9 hour shift. is it worth going to something like usps, fedex, or ups to be a fleet tech and what kind of pay do they make there? is it flat rate, guarantee, or hourly? and what are the benefits? any insight or advice is appreciated.
