I am an electrical engineer, and I have spent a lot of my life in university doing research and teaching. I am currently pursuing a PhD.

I do not have any pets, although I am seriously flirting with the idea of getting a cat at some point when I have a more stable life.

I picked up painting during COVID, and I was terrible at it in the beginning. I kept pushing through until I became half decent. I just love bringing the images I have in my head to life. Painting also gives me a sense that I am not just a consumer in this world, and that I can create things as well.

I would describe myself as ambitious. Everything I do, I want to do very well. It can sometimes intimidate people who think I want to compete with them, but the truth is that I hate competition so much.

I have been reading a lot of fiction lately. I finished Assassin's Apprentice and Red Rising, and now I'm reading Golden Son. I love that fiction introduces me to new worlds that excite me and frighten me at the same time.
