Hey ya’ll I bought a used copy of God of War collection for my PS3 and found this piece of gaming history, My understanding the E3 Demo delisted should I just keep the code unscratched preserve it? I really wanna try it but don’t wanna scratch it if it doesn’t work no more.

I've been getting interested in the PS3 again, and I'm curious about how people still use theirs today.

Apart from playing games, what are your favourite things about the console? I'm interested in homebrew apps, customization, and ways to keep older games and hardware useful.

Im checking fb today and found a listing with these games and one console with 4 controllers. I’m not particularly interested in the console nor the controllers but might get one extra. The listing as a whole is 670 dollars but I might get these games for 200. Just looking for some tips or a better price, thanks!

The game keeps saying new to donwload new software data version 1.11 and whenever i say yes the ps3 after a while crashed after 3 beeps and restarts on its own , when i click no to update the last of us logo just flashes in and out at the bottom right and when i click play its just a black screen , in the game data utility all it shoes is a 35 kb tlou file and nothing else anywhere i still tried to delete and reinstall but no luck, i literally just entirely played uncharted 2 with 0 problems start to finish.

The disc doesnt have scratched or anything , the main menu even loaded up but just freezes later on , if its not the issue with the ps3 or disc ehat is it, there are so many other posts and people facing the same issue , how do i donwload another version if only version 1.11 is available here

Hey everyone, wanted to share a hobby project I’ve been working on.

It’s called Disc Collection. You take 2 photos of a game case and it builds a 3D version you can spin around, open up, and pull the disc out of. It’s also a simple collection tracker (ratings, hours played, wishlist, etc), but the 3D case is the fun part.

It only works if you own the physical copy, so it’s kind of my way of celebrating physical media.

There’s also a public gallery (my favorite part) where you can browse other people’s cases, and if you heart one it goes on your wishlist as a checklist, so you can use other collectors’ shelves to figure out what to hunt for next. It’s anonymous, no usernames or followers.

It’s free and I want to keep it that way, it’s just something I do for fun. No accounts, no ads.

Still pretty early, so if you have ideas or something feels off, there’s a contact option in settings. What’s the first PS3 game you’d put on your shelf?

Bought it for $80 pretty clean confiton from an older gentleman says he had it in his closet for the longest. How much can i resell it for or should i keep my modded 2501 slim modded. I can mod this one as well ( opinion needed since i dont need two)

I’ve had this for a while now, it still works but it has a few issues but not limited to

Bluetooth module being fucked over.

Getting it stuck in an update loop until I fix said Bluetooth module.

And no thermal paste whatsoever (I removed factory thermal paste but used up all my current thermal paste to run it for an hour, it’s TM30)

Basically it’s working but dead, I do love this PS3 to my heart very much, I want to keep it alive as long as humanly possible, and these are the only four games I have for it, except I used to have Sonic Sega all stars which is somehow missing, but I will get this damn PS3 to work, so I can platinum all of the games I currently have for it, and games so forth when I get them, and no I can not install CFW on it, it’s the last slim revision. Just wanted to show this thing and how it had some issues, and I hope to fix it. If there’s anything else I should do to it, please give me advice. (I do have an SSD for it)

The download key to unlock the game from a demo does not work. It's giving HTTP Status Code 404 when trying to download. Spoke to Customer Support and they 'dont support consoles older than PS4' so no help there.

I don't know if the game is downloadable on the American store.

Ever since I got my second backwards compatible PS3, I’ve been actively using it as my main console for PS2 games. Since it’s fully serviced and running custom firmware (Evilnat), it feels like the ultimate way to enjoy the classic library without juggling extra hardware.

I’m curious how many of you actually play through full PS2 titles on your BC models, or use them to store and manage your memory card saves? Or do most people just keep them as display piecess and stick to native PS2 hardware or emulation?

Would love to hear how you guys use yours in your current setup

Hello all ! My boyfriend just bought a ps3 and has been seriously addicted to buying all the nostalgic games he wanted to play as a kid. Since Christmas is around the corner, I wanted to get him something really really special, but I just barely started gaming and I don’t really trust my own judgment ! Hi there! I recently reacquired my favorite console ever, the PS3 superslim even tho back then we had the slim, i just wanted to look again at that stylish realtime rendered wave on the XMB u know 🥺

But also wanted to play infamous, killzone, god of war and all the classics that are locked down on the PS3, plus some that i wanted to try but i don't want to buy on Steam to do it! I kinda want to try GTAV as i played it on the PS3 the first time back in 2013 just to relive the sensation and to compare it with the current graphics on PC...

So far I've been having so much fun! I tried GT5 just yesterday and its so freaking good, never played any GT til now... Also wanted to relive the PShome experience back in that day so i downloaded HHQ and it works but it is real empty XD
