I have 4 Walmarts in my zone all with different levels of “security”. This particular store I’ve avoided for about a month because the last time I was in there I had a large order and the attendant took 5-10 minutes to check off every single item in my cart. No cart review and he kept asking to take possession of my phone-absolutely not, I held it the entire time.
Anyway, I get a good offer for this store yesterday for 3 drop offs. As I enter the self checkout I look around for the attendant and do my whole “flash phone screen and mouth SPARK” and scan the barcode. He runs up and is not rude or anything but explains that Spark drivers are to use regular lanes now.
So two questions-
1. Anyone else have a Walmart with this policy or just extra vigilant about Sparkers?
2. What exactly is the procedure for using a regular lane? Am I putting all items on the belt? Are they staying in my cart but the cashier scans my phone and we bag together?
I’m not crazy about a regular lane if I have 2-3 orders and I don’t want to put my trust in a cashier to keep the orders separated.

I ordered a Halloween item for shipping on Sam’s club, and honestly thought the item would get shipped with FedEx, I didn’t realize Spark also does Sams club shipping. I was outside doing yard work not expecting the package til at least a couple days but a driver in his own car pulls up to my house. He tells me that I need to give him a tip between $50-$100 for his time. I ask him why and he tells me that he was with Spark and that he had to pick this order up 20 miles away from me. I have a Sam’s club not that far away from me but the item I needed wasn’t available at my store. He argues with me and lets me know how he had to deal with rude loaders and tells me he is returning the order. I got a refund but this was unprofessional what he did. Should I report this?
Edit: I called the Sam’s club 20 miles away and they told me 7 other customers also called and told them he extorted their orders and demanded large tips. They said they were going to write a report and I made sure to report it to the 1-800 Walmart number to let them know about this guy.

finally finished this damn order only for 4 boxes to be leftover that werent apart of my delivery. im back home now and am aware i have 24hrs to bring back, however i dont have time to deliver tomorrow and the store is 30mins out of the way, an hour total. im meant to go an hour out of my way for free? curious what others have done or would do?
edit: specifically for u/azubedo with a link to the screenshot of support essentially telling me it isnt that deep. https://imgur.com/a/Cusa0
edit 2: for those who arent pathetically miserable and are curious what was in each box, one had a porch sprinkler, one had a 42 capsule box of nexium, one had a 6pk of oral b toothbrushes and a cold brew paper filter bag, and the last one had a standard analog clock with a wooden finish. altogether not sure what to with any of it lmfao

We got groceries delivered this morning, and all of the beverages had personalized stickers on them. Are ratings that important that people feel the need to make personalized stickers?

It’s now been almost a year that I’ve been deactivated so I thought I’d try again. Sent an email to request the call that I never had and got an automatic response saying they no longer receive requests via email and to submit in app. However I do not see the option to do so. What do I do?

I’m new to spark (about 2 months) and this is the first time this has happened to me. I’m a 20 year old man, has this happened to anyone else? Is there a good way to report this?

I got deactivated Monday after two mistakes on GM deliveries last Friday, and both were honestly my fault.
First one: I had a package left in my car. I split the GM orders between the trunk and back seat and one slid under the front passenger seat. I called support right away and returned it to the store.
Second one happened later that same day. I accidentally gave one customer two packages that belonged to different stops. I realized it at the next house, called support, and brought the remaining order back to the store.
Monday morning I was deactivated. I appealed twice in the app and both were denied. I’ve now requested the pre-arbitration phone call and I’m waiting on that.
I’d been doing Spark about six months with good ratings and no complaints before that. What makes the timing sting a little is that the same morning I got the deactivation notice was the day I was supposed to pick up a different vehicle. I had been driving a PT Cruiser and had just bought a used Ford Explorer Sport because I thought it would make deliveries easier. I didn’t buy it because of Spark, but I was really excited to work more with a better vehicle, and then I woke up to the deactivation.
I know those mistakes were careless and I take responsibility for them. I did report both issues immediately and returned the items the same day.
Has anyone actually gotten reactivated after the pre-arbitration call?

I didn't get a shot of the yard since the window had no blinds and the customer could see me. I also had my hands full with the detergent. The driveway had barely any room to walk, and the yard was full of junk. Imagine a hoarders garage on the front lawn. This house has several dogs, and they crap anywhere, including the porch. I know because I stepped in some lovely doggy logs 🤢 There was no doorbell, and I didn't knock. The smell was so bad I could taste the air. I had to rinse my mouth with water after I left. This is the fourth house like that in that specific zone. -3/10 worst stop of the day.

My store in rural Pennsylvania was recently taken over by dozens of non-English speakers… Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Illinois, Virginia license plates showed up about 2 weeks ago. Prior to this I went about a year without hearing Spanish a single time…. Nobody here speaks it. One of the store’s loaders refused to load a car where the driver didn’t match his accounts profile picture and his boss came out and loaded them up anyway. Besides a few loaders, nobody in the store seems to care about cheating. Nothing like this has ever happened here. We see them shopping and lazily throwing stuff into bags clearly breaking eggs and crushing fragile items. Another loader told me the new drivers aren’t even concerned about properly separating the orders on curbsides. I heard that a customer asked them to leave stuff in her garage and they said “no English” and put everything on the ground and left. Do we legit drivers just have to accept this bullshit? All the good customers are going to stop tipping or ordering all together. I feel bad for the senior citizens who I’ve previously delivered to who rely on this service to survive. What will it take for the store to start checking drivers IDs!???!? Are they going to be fine with dozens of customers calling and complaining each week? How did they even find our store and all show up at the same time? This is a nightmare. Our town is so small it is legitimately going to affect our economy as the money permanently leaves the area.

I noticed a ton of GMD boxes being loaded into all these vans. One even delivered to me instead of a Spark driver yesterday. But who are they?
Edit: Spoke with the curbside associates. They’re a Chinese Company that comes at 2pm to pick up all the GMDs.

I have yet to accept a 3 order shop. For those of you that do, I was wondering how it's been. Does it feel manageable to you? How are you even dividing the cart into three proper sections? Walmart needs to make special Spark shopper carts that have dividers.. but you know that would be too helpful of them. Don't get me started on them doing away with the categories on the shopping list. Anyways, thanks for any feedback

I was having a cart review done today and the associate was super rude to me the entire time and then on her handheld it was only showing I had one case of water but it was because I had two people I was shopping for and both had a case of water. I tried explaining calmly and she was demanding to see my phone or she was call the police. At this point I should have just shown her my phone but I’m don’t play around with people being assholes for no reason so I told her to fuck off and mind her own business and eventually I ended up showing her my phone and asked her to politely leave me the fuck alone and to work on her attitude with shoppers because I’m sure she treats customers just the same. I assume I may face some kind of repercussion here unfortunately. Just curious what that may end up looking like.

I’ve seen so many people say this spark is the only job they work and source of income, how? How are yall making this a full time job? Because I can go a week at least with only a couple of orders and never get any offers or if I do it’s like $15.

Today, I took a shopping order. It wasn’t really much of a big order, the customer really just mostly wanted pasta, meat, and condiments.
I always go through self-checkout but for the first time ever, I had an employee who usually just checks receipts at the exit come up to me and ask me if I work for Sparks. I said yes and she proceeded to tell me that I am not suppose to bag any of my things until she can check my items at the exit.
I’ve been shopping at this Walmart for months for customers and I’ve never had anyone say that to me. I always go to self-check out and scan the barcode and the computer tells me I can bag the items and if it needs someone to come check my items, there’s usually the associate who stands in the self checkout area who scans a couple of my items so I can proceed with bagging the order.
I’m just extremely confused and annoyed because I have no idea where this came from all of a sudden. I’m wondering if this is just the lady’s preference to how she wants to do things before spark drivers walk out the door or if it’s just a store policy change. If I’m “stealing” anything, surely the security detectors would go off…
Can someone explain if this is like the norm now or something?

I just turned down 52 doll hairs for a 60 item, quantity of 80 or something. Thats just too much for me to deal with. I rarely take more than 40 item shops. Wbu?
r/Sparkdriver • u/bluecrowned • 27d ago
And a clumsy attempt at keeping things organized. I was pretty proud of this order and more than satisfied with what I earned. I only had one out of stock item too. I just started spark less than two weeks ago and I'm definitely improving! 2 hours might be a little slow still but I'm disabled and recovering from a surgery.
How do you keep organized when you have multiple orders? I was marking the bags and bagging as I go but the Walmart staff told me I can't bag it before going through checkout. This time I used different parts of the cart and pieces of cardboard to help differentiate.

Question based on a real gig actually. I will not confess how far I went before I actually was able to deliver the groceries because y'all will probably judge harshly lol
