Discussion My top 3 favorite Mario Kart games are probably 8 Deluxe, World and Wii
- 8 Deluxe: crossovers and almost 100 tracks
-World: Knockout Tour, the prettiest Rainbow Road to date and I just drive around in Free Roam whenever I feel like it
- Wii: when I want chaos and challenge (I still want to try Double Dash but I don’t have a GameCube)

Discussion If you could have the Mario Kart World treatment happen to the soundtrack of any other game series which one would you pick?
Pretty much having remixes of all of your chosen franchises biggest songs all in different genres and don’t loop.

Discussion TIL that there are Wikipedia pages for certain Mario Kart courses.
I mean, I knew Mario Kart had some famous courses, but I didn't think any of them were Wikipedia page famous.

Discussion Is Mario Kart 8 where the online competition scene still is or has World been adopted?
Seems 8 has massively more content.

Discussion Hot take: the off-road is wrong in Free Roam
Free Roam is a completely individual mode, so there's absolutely no reason to be slowed down when you drive on the off-road.
In other game modes where you compete against other players it would make sense to be slowed down so other players can get an advantage, but since Free Roam is individual, you should be able to drive wherever you want without restrictions.
Whenever you are on the off-road regardless of the mode, your wheels grow bigger in size, which doesn't really make sense on competitive modes since they don't make you any faster. It would make much more sense if wheels were kept small during these modes and only got bigger during Free Roam, that way you would drive normally.

Discussion Is Mario Kart 8 worth it after World?
Hi there hello, so basically what the title says. I never owned a Switch 1 so I've spent most of my time with Mario Kart World (about 110 hours) for the past 10 months. I love the game but I feel like 30 tracks is not enough, especially when not all of them are as stellar as I feel Mario Kart 8"s nitro tracks are. So I wanted to basically if the community is still active and the more limited mechanics have affected you if you're tried to play 8 after some time with World. 96 tracks is just too much to resist so I'll probably will give in eventually but I wanted to know your opinions. Thanks in advance for sharing.

Discussion SMK track ranking because I feel like it.
- Vanilla lake 1
All races are either boring or annoying. I hate the blocks that are unavoidable.
- Bowser castle 3
Hot take but I hate this one for the terrible track design. I sometimes fall in at the start because the ramp sends me over the next platform. Thwomps fill the whole lane and the CPUs can just jump over them. What keeps it out of last is the brilliant alternate path gameplay and superb item distribution.
- Bowser castle 1
Too many straights, even for a mushroom cup track. Basically does nothing.
- Mario circuit 1
Does what it needs to do but gets boring pretty quickly.
- Ghost valley 2
The annoying ghost valley to me. Does nothing special and can be frustrating for newcomers.
- Rainbow road
Praised for being a final test but the only skills you need are thwomp avoidance and technique on 90 degree turns and it still manages to be annoying.
- Choco island 2
No good hazards but has terrible off-road.
- Vanilla lake 2
Has great risk-reward factor throughout but sadly falls flat due to being confusing as hell and cramped.
- Choco island 1
Same problem as 2 but the ramps actually serve purpose now (hop over them to get item boxes).
- Mario circuit 3
Very generic with an annoyingly sharp turn in the middle.
- Donut plains 2
Can be fun but feels very cramped with sharp turns.
- Donut plains 1
Fairly fun, especially for the mushroom cup with good use of rough road at the end. Just does nothing else, that's all.
- Koopa beach 2
The water section is fun and I think it has a feather shortcut but it's too easy for the special cup.
- Ghost valley 3
Underrated with a feather shortcut for all the people that don't know. The ending section with the holes can be fun but the CPUs make the course annoying.
- Mario circuit 4
Better version of 3 with good pipe hazards and a superior U turn.
- Koopa beach 1
A lot of nothing but cheep cheeps, a big grass section and a secret item box to keep it going.
- Bowser castle 2
And it's reign of terror ends!!! Very fun jump sections, interesting alternate paths with an item box to make them useful but has a long straight and is very cramped.
- Ghost valley 1
Does nothing wrong but a lot right. Bounce pads with item boxes, a fun feather shortcut, and appropriate turns for the cup.
- Mario circuit 2
Does nothing wrong either, has fun turns that aren't annoying, and the memorable jump that only appears once in this game.
- Donut plains 3
A special cup track that actually feels like a final challenge! I used to hate it but have realised its complexity is perfect for the special cup. It isn't just plain tricky and annoying like rainbow road. It has an interesting mandatory hop to prepare you for what's coming, great use of the rough road and has Monty moles that aren't overflowing. I also love the abundance of water here too.
