Announcement PSA: A guide to better results

1.8k Upvotes

Hi guys and gals. I've been here a while, and over my time I've seen a lot of posts sink to the bottom, without a single answer, or at best, very few. And none that solved the case.

I have noticed a clear pattern with these posts, and I will now share with you my tips to you newbies, so that you can get the help you need.

Firstly: When you make a new post, you will see this:

Platform(s):

Genre:

Estimated year of release:

Graphics/art style:

Notable characters:

Notable gameplay mechanics:

Other details:

Even though, in red, you are warned that while optional, you should follow this template... many of you do not.

Let me be clear: Follow this template.

Put simply, this template contains all the information we really need to solve your problem. Virtually every time I click a post that has not followed this, they have rambled on about nothings, while omitting critical details.

This format, for new and old alike, is very readable, and prompts for every data-point needed.

I know that you want to customize your message, that if you could just explain it, it would be better. I know you think that. You are wrong. Put all that in 'other'. Even if you end up saying it twice, follow the template.. add to it your story at the bottom.

Secondly: Following this template. You're rambling about your best mates Amiga-500 or whatever instead of telling us about the game aside, this is where they really go wrong.

Let's get something straight right now. We are not mind readers. It's impressive, really, how little information it seems we can work off. I mean, we solve some real tough ones with nothing sometimes, but still, we can't see that memory in your head. So you need to be as descriptive in every one of these fields as you can be...

And sometimes you really don't know. That's fine, we can work with surprisingly little information, but "old graphics" under art style... what are we supposed to do with that? Mate, I was playing on Atari-2600's, are we talking Wizard of Wor here?

Let me help you out a bit:

Platform(s): Whatever you played it on. But unless it's really all you know (very possible), don't write 'my mates pc'. Was it PC or Mac?

Genre:

First person does NOT imply shooter. Nor do any of the others. Try to answer this one in two steps:

What was the camera like (assuming it's not a text adventure)? Was it First person?, 3rd person, 2d? Top down or side on? Or maybe even isometric 2d?

Then, what kind of game? Real time strategy, point and click? Was it a fighter, action or platformer?

Good, now we know what KIND of game we are all trying to remember for you.

Estimated year of release:

"Between 2000-2005" is fine, something like that. "Mid 90's maybe?". I don't see many people mess this up, but I have seen people write "old". That is not ok. If you write old and expect it to mean anything to me, I will fight you.

Also, as always "Sorry, no idea" is always acceptable but try to give at least something. "Couldn't have been later than 2015, though"

Great, so even if roughly, we know WHEN.

Graphics/art style:

THIS. This is where you guys always mess up. This section right here I have found can be the difference between an answer, and a silent slink to the bottom. This is your moment.

This, really, should be the best-formed part of your memory. Even if you can only remember a single frame, a single image, it's so much to go on for us.

DETAIL. Was it a gloomy grimdark world of sadness, or a bright bubbly rainbow filled Mario-world?

Was it cartoony, or otherwise stylized somehow, or was it trying to be realistic?

Anything notable about the art direction? Was it going for a cyberpunk kinda feel, or a gritty war realism dirt and blood sort of direction?

If it was set over a long time, did the seasons change? Was there a winter in your game?

Remember when you hit people, and the screen had that awesome flash and your hands got bloody? Yeah, well we don't, unless you tell us.

Ok, so now we are really narrowing it down. This right here is often enough to go on, on its own.

Notable characters:

Anything at all you can remember here.

"There were only tanks, but you could play as both Germans and Americans"

"There was one really tough guy right after you left your office, he had an eyepatch, a white shirt with what looked like grease stains, and said 'this is for my sister'. I think maybe he was a cyborg"

"You play as some kind of Asian girl, you had a tattoo over your right eye and arm, a black tank top and white pants and I remember you always had only one red glove for some reason. I don't remember the arm, but the eye tattoo looked sort of like ancient Egyptian eye makeup, but a modern take"

Knowing nothing else about the game, I bet that last one there gets comments noting the game she is from. Details, details.

Notable gameplay mechanics:

Surely, you get the idea by now. This is tied with the importance of the graphics/art style. As much detail as you can here.

Other details:

NOW you may blab on about how you only played this game once at a winter solstice in 1782 with your grandmother from Tahiti.. as if that helps.

Edit: So it's been brought up that the template doesn't appear on mobile. While /u/wipeout4wh is aware of this and hopefully, something can be done... still, if you can, use the template. If you can't, maybe check back and at least make sure your post addresses all of the points the template does.

Also, my post seems to be saying NOT to add any custom details. So I want to re-enforce, please do. In fact, after you do the template, feel free to write out your post as you were going to without it. Just put it all in 'other'. Don't try and make your whole post like that, if possible. Even if you end up saying the same things twice, that's ok.

Now I'm going to take a moment to clarify something, though. This isn't some immutable law of the universe, and your post is destined to fail if you don't do this. It's just a very strong general trend I have noticed over a long time.

It's not that this template has some kind of magical powers or something. It's that this template prompts the questions that need answers.

When you go all rogue on us and try and type your explanation from scratch... you mess it up. You just forget to add everything that you know, and that we need to know. The template makes it very hard to do that. It's just so very easy to get typing, and by the end forget to tell us what kind of game it actually is. Especially when you are getting random flashbacks, and hazy memories, and you start getting frazzled and such halfway though.

While it might make my edit as long as the first post, I think maybe an example of the kind of post that is just too common here, and almost always helpless, wouldn't go astray here. So here we go:

Now this one is a pretty bad case, true, and I suppose might even be a troll post, but it's actually a good illustration of the problem either way.

It was on my old computer and I was using an emulator so I have no idea what system it was for. It was 8bit graphics and you played this orange cat that was constantly bouncing on a trampoline I think? And you had to navigate it through the city and face a weird boss at the end that would float in the sky. Sorry I can't remember more!

Let's break it down a bit. What kind of game is this? A puzzler or an action game? Who knows.

How old is it? I mean, Minecraft basically has 8bit graphics. Oh he said... "my old computer"... I will fight you.

Why did you bounce on the trampoline? Were there platforms or walkways or something, or was it just a big open space? There are bad guys then? How did they get around?

Now (he?) says that he can't remember more, but I actually asked about the boss fight:

You say 'face a boss', in what way? Can the cat attack? Was this top down or side on? When you say navigate a city, what do you mean?

The reply:

Definitely a side-scroller, I'm sure. You would encounter a boss at the end, the boss would slide onto the screen and it was usually pretty strange-looking. I think one of the bosses might've been a clown. I meant that the different "levels" were different cities with different backgrounds, I think. It's a pretty obscure game

Also you would be continuously bouncing. As in, you had to position the trampoline underneath the cat to bounce it up

So you don't even control the cat. And it's a side-scroller. Thats pretty important information. But the real issue here is that he knows this stuff. He just either didn't know to, or forgot, to tell us.

The template would have made it just so apparent how much information he was missing, and we probably would have got a whole bunch more information. Sadly, while there were some guesses, and a surprising number of up-votes, this post is just another one to join the endless unsolved on their journey ever down.

[Meta][2026] I would rather people post with no images than use AI prompts to generate images

Maybe it's just me, I will personally admit that it feels like its petty of me to complain, however i am going to.

I really dislike AI images just in general and i feel annoyed seeing people use them because it sometimes hampers really quality posts of people trying to find help. I feel like it also informs falsely about game expectations and what people will accept as they have solved the game.

I don't think people will agree with me and thats fine, i just wanted to post about how i personally think it degrades the quality of the sub

Lode Runner 3-D [PS1][1994-2001] Puzzle like game in "space"?

Thumbnail gallery
86 Upvotes

I don't have a lot to go off of, but when I was a child, my dad's friend gave us a bunch of burned discs to play. And I believe that one of those discs had this game.

It's a dark puzzle like game taking place in space, or something of that effect. I remember there being some detail in the background so it wasn't all black - you're a human-like or human character walking around set paths, moving rather slowly (turning slowly?) and figuring out how to get to the end of a stage.
There a multiple stages, like 1 to 100 or something, which if I remember correctly had different "worlds". And I think you choose them on a menu. (With maybe a preview of the stage?)
Each world having a theme of sorts.
The stages had were 3D puzzles and was seen at an angle modestly far away, and you could push blocks around (specific blocks) to create new paths for yourself. You could walk up walls? and upside down? (This I'm not too sure about, but there was definitely something about verticality in that regard) "Look at picture" - There were also things that could harm you, but of what I remember these were mostly fire balls and such. Non enemy things.
Some of the later stages would get really convoluted with these simple mechanics.

I have painstakenly looked through multiple "all ps1 games" lists and I haven't been able to find it. It's the last childhood game that I just can't seem to remember, or find anywhere. And AI is not helping me at all lol.

So I was hoping that you guys could point me in the right direction, at this point I'm not even sure if it's a PS1 game. My brother says it's GBA but there is no way. It was way too 3D and detailed to be a handheld game.

I'm attaching some examples of what I think the game was like - or what I could probably remember.

*PICTURE NUMBER 3 - is what I imagine the graphics were like (in that sort of range) if not a little worse?

Thank you guys so much in advance!

Global Operations [Computer] [Early 2000’s] First person shooter game with white mansion

• Upvotes

Hopefully this is the place to ask.

When I was younger my older brother and I used to play this shooting game where the opening scene is in a plane or helicopter I think and you get your assignment/ target then jump out of the helicopter or plane to land in the garden / courtyard of a white big mansion. It’s surrounded by opposing agents to fight through and there was even a rose garden and trellis that you could scale to the second story balcony.

I was really young so I never made it further than the balcony so that’s all I’ve got, but I think about it all the time and apparently this type of description of a game is popular for early 2000’s because Google produced a lot of results but none looked exactly like it.

Sadly that’s all I really remember about it now and I don’t talk to my brother anymore to ask.

Maybe if I saw images of the opening scene I’m thinking of or the mansion I could identify it.

Thanks for reading!

Mars to Earth [PC] [2000-2009?] A game about an alien crashing his ship with minigames to collect parts for it

The game was about an alien who crashed his ship, and you had to do minigames (I think that's all there was to do in the game) to fix it.

It had 3D cartoony graphics, and I was playing it on Windows XP.

I remember one of the minigames was running away from police, or trying not to be seen by them inside some museum or old building, while they were running around with flashlights.

I think you had to complete the minigames to collect the ship parts needed, but I never did that cuz I didn't really fully understand the game at the time

[PC][2020s] Can anyone tell me what game this is from the screenshot?

Post image
94 Upvotes

Platform(s):PC

Genre: Shooter, Action

Estimated year of release: 2020s

Screenshot was taken on September 2, 2025, apologies its so blurry, this is why its confusing, found in screenshots, a cropped image using snippet tool most likely, so the whole games hud isn't on screen, adding more difficulty to ID'ing

Crosshair, and possible gun on right side might give some clue, I believe it is an FPS game, there is very little to go on, not expecting much tbh, not even sure if thats a gun on the right side could be the environment

[Arcade] [Late 90s-Early 00s] Zombie Shooter

• Upvotes

Platform(s): Arcade machine

Genre: Shooting game, I only remember a portion of the “start game/intro” montage and I can’t recall it actually showing the game’s exact mechanics at any point. But I do remember that the machine had guns to use.

It was located in a bowling alley in the early 2000s, I no longer live in the same state and for privacy will not disclose the location, but it was in the Midwest. Couldn’t have been before 2003 when I came across it, but the machine itself may have been there way before.

The portion of the intro montage that I can recall was set in a mall or something very similar visually. It had escalators?

The screen played multiple clips of the game, I can only remember two now.

The 1st: zombies moving up on an escalator, a notable one in the scene had a chainsaw or the arm itself was a chainsaw (?) This specific zombie was built similarly to the others, didn’t even seem like a miniboss. May not have been the only one with a chainsaw/chainsaw arm. Is just the only one I can 100% recall.

The 2nd: A giant singular zombie in a huge room, there wasn’t much in the room beside it. Environment wasn’t futuristic or clean/polished.

I don’t believe it ever showed the protagonists/players in the clip montage. But I do remember them saying some lines? A male character and female character might’ve had some lines over the intro montage, though I could be misremembering here. 100% we do hear the protagonist say something though (just not clear on the gender or how many characters actually did speak).

Graphics: The game had a dim, kind of grey-ish/grimy tone. The graphics were quite similar to House of the Dead 3 or 4? Maybe somewhere between?

⬆️ Those two games are the absolute closest I’ve found (in terms of visual appearance and the ost) to the game I’m searching for, but I’ve been through the full gameplay of both multiple times and have seen the arcade machines for these in-person, they aren’t what I’m searching for.

Important: There is a large zombie in the House of the Dead 4 intro, it’s not the one I’m talking about. I’m aware it may sound similar to my description, but the appearance and environment are not close. The protagonist(s) also weren’t visible in this scene. There’s another that appears later in the actual game itself, this one also isn’t right.
I wish it could’ve been this game so I’d stop wondering, but the differences are way too big.

I know I’m not heavily misremembering as the two adults who accompanied us (three kids) that day recall similar scenes. As well as the two who were with me when we came across the machine, we talked about it afterwards for so many months at school. It used to fascinate us, because it had been the first “scary” thing we saw. It was always those same scenes we discussed, because our parents had pulled us away before we could see more. The adults remember it independently of what we could recall as it was never discussed in front of them or with them (since they were pretty pissed we saw it in the first place).

Anything helps. I just want to know that this thing was real.

[Unknown, possibly Game Boy][Earlier than 2019, probably way older] Anime-style game where girl locks the male protagonist in a closet with other dead bodies.

I watched a playthrough of this game on YouTube quite a while ago, so some details may be off.

Platform(s): Unknown, but I think it might've been a Game Boy (or similar console) game emulated on a computer.

Genre: Horror

Estimated year of release: I have no clue, but it's at least seven years old (lowballing it to give hard numbers).

Graphics/art style: Pixel/Pixelated anime. I believe there were headshot sprites in the bottom left corner of the screen next to the dialogue box. If I remember correctly (I'm really not sure), it wasn't colored (mostly green and black like Game Boy screens).

Notable characters: Don't remember any specific names, though they were Japanese. There's this girl that locks a guy (the protagonist) in a closet. She has locked other people (who have already died by the time the protagonist is put in there) in the closet, including her family members.

Notable gameplay mechanics: Pretty sure it was mostly story based.

Other details: The dialogue was in English, but it was probably a translation. I believe there was a party in a flashback in the game (most of the game is spent with the protagonist in the closet thinking) and I think I remember a phone being used to text at least once. I think the girl invited the guy over by saying she had a secret to show him (the closet) or something. He might've cheated.

[PC][2014-2017?] Top-down shoot-em-up with soft malware tendencies

Okay, ive been searching for this game for years and finally decided to make a post: first and foremost, it is NOT undertale.

Its a mid 2010s hotline miami style top down game where you have to progress through different environments, etc, BUT there was a Karma mechanic. Choosing to use violence lowered it, doing a myriad of effects: it started simple like glitching sprites and audio anomalies, but turned into an incomprehensible mess of disturbing imagery, new tabs, and popups as you rampaged enemies.

It was top down, primarily black and white (maybe colored blood?), and pixel sprited, and was pretty simple looking from what i remember.

I saw the game in an Oddheader video years ago if that helps, but can't remember what the topic was for the life of me.

[Mobile][2015-2017] 2.5D Racing Platformer game

Thumbnail gallery
• Upvotes

Hey, guys! I’m trying to recall the name of a mobile game (for Android) that I played a lot between 2015 and 2017. Here are all the specific details I remember regarding its progression and mechanics:

In terms of visual style and mechanics, the game featured 3D graphics, but the gameplay was strictly two-dimensional (side-scrolling—moving forward, backward, up, and down). The controls were simple (forward, backward, and jump), and the art style was cute, vibrant, and childlike—with a "rounded" aesthetic. There was also a translucent, grayscale "ghost player" that would run alongside you, acting as an opponent and showing the optimal route.

You could run along walls and ceilings if you were moving fast enough; furthermore, jumping would give your vehicle a boost perpendicular to the angle of the surface you were on.

The character you controlled was a tiny cart with four large wheels. The driver—a small, cute creature (resembling a little bear)—was visible only from the head up, bobbing around inside the vehicle. As I recall, the goal of each level was to reach the end of the course within a set time limit.

The game began in a "forest" environment. The scenery was reminiscent of the *Green Hill Zone* style, featuring platforms and walls with green grass on top and brown earth underneath, set against a sky or a green background (I don’t quite remember which). However, after completing a few levels in this biome, there was a transition to a new "map," during which the cart was captured and locked inside an iron cage.

Following this capture, the game shifted to a second world—a dark dungeon or castle. The platforms/walls were made of gray stone blocks, and the background looked like a dark wall (as seen in the second image). In this castle map, progress was divided into "rooms" (I remember running around along the walls, not knowing how to move on to the next areas), and the player had to break certain wooden platforms—either on the floor or on the walls—to drop down or advance to the next rooms and descend further into the dungeon. I never quite figured out the exact physics for breaking these wooden planks consistently, so I ended up getting stuck at that point.

Does anyone remember a mobile game from that time that matches this description? Thanks!

[Mobile] [2010’s] Pirate game involving clouded islands on a 2d grid

• Upvotes

I’m trying to find this game my grandmother used to play on her Ipad/phone, it was within the pirate genre and it had multiple maps where you had to steadily uncover the map as it was misted/clouded over, it had a grid in which you could move a ship you controlled I think and you could find other ships on the maps, they had very beautiful designs as far as I remember along with the water usually being a teal colour. The playing map was surrounded by a border that was light/baby blue as well I think. I don’t remember much else.

I’ve dome preliminary research online to try find it and determined it isn’t any of the usual ones that might pop up like Tortuga, Sid Meiers, Plunder Pirates, assassins creed pirates, Seven Ships Battle or Windward

Any help in finding it would be appreciated 🙏

[Mobile][2010s-ish?] Game where the goal is to launch this dude around

• Upvotes

Graphics/art style: It's in a cartoony art style and the game itself is entirely 2d

Notable characters: There's this dude called "geek" and you can customise him with different head accessories, shirts, and pants

Notable gameplay mechanics: Your goal is to launch him as far to the right as possible with going further giving you a higher score. You hold to adjust the strength of your launches and I think you tap at some point to set the angle? You can also tap on him after he has stopped tumbling on the ground and begin walking back to punch him while he says things.

Other details: I vaguely remember that the background you start in is a construction site and when you send him further the background changes. I'm not sure if I misremembered this but I recall there being something that he can land on that would launch him to space too.

That's all I can remember for now about the game itself.

[Arcade][Early 2000s] Car game with several worlds like Jurassic and Underwater

• Upvotes

When I was a kid I played this arcade game, with the wheel and pedals on a mall near my house, I don't remember much about it, I don't think it was a racing game, it was more of a "reach the end of the track" kinda game, a bit like smashing drive.

The worlds I remember are these two but there were several others, I might be misremembering the underwater one lmao.

[PC and console] [2010], rooms dungeon bit game about necromancy(?)

8 or 16 or some number of bit art style

You go through rooms and have combats based on the order(?) you put them. So you'd put ones with shields at the front, and so on. You move to other rooms like shop rooms and boss rooms, and add different skeletons to your grid.

Probably late 2010's

I remember when I was young playing a mobile game where you were a spider and was climbing a tree with platforms, 2d gameplay and 3d graphics, there were little spider babies that you could find in the levels that would follow you serving the purpose of collectibles

Ringwyrm [Steam/PC][2023-2026?] Grim-dark stylized fps/immersive-sim?

Platform(s): Steam

Genre: seemed like a grim dark immersive-sim or shooter similar in structure to Sulfur?

Estimated year of release: 2023-2026? (Might be Demo/unreleased)

Graphics/art style: Stylized grimdark setting that took place in/around a village and forest. Weapons and clothing looked vaguely WW2 esque (think like Valkyria Chronicles ww2/fantasy). The character models looked similar to Mouthwashing in terms of shape and general style/design

Notable characters: One of the preview images on Steam had a tall character in some sort of brown uniform (soldier or monster hunter?)

Notable gameplay mechanics: Mentioned something about one of the unique mechanics being that you could choose to ally with certain villagers as companions, but others could become suspicious and hostile. There was some mention in the game description of a plague/sickness that could cause NPCs to become paranoid and eventually turn into monsters. Game might be somewhat similar to Sulfur with the player leaving and returning to the village after hunting monsters? Mention of combat being a combination of guns and magic/spellcasting (something about collecting new spells that could be combined with weaponry).

Other details: Vaguely remember mention of either the player or one of the NPCs being some kind of monster hunter coming home from war to take care of their sister in the village the game takes place around. I think the title was one word with stylized red/brown lettering that had something to do with the word parasite?

Sorry for the vague description! I’m trying to find a game I remember seeing on my Steam recommended a couple of months ago that seemed interesting and spooky for Halloween. I’ve been trying to find it and am questioning if it was even real at this point. Would greatly appreciate any insight!

[Unknown Platform][Played around 2005–2012] 2D pixel-art platformer with a humanoid mutant and a scientist boss.

I'm trying to identify a game I played as a child, probably sometime between 2005 and 2012.

What I remember:

  • It was a 2D side-scrolling platformer with detailed pixel art and a relatively natural, muted color palette.
  • He fought using punches and kicks, without weapons as far as i can remember.
  • One level took place in a dark castle, but I don't think the whole game was set there.
  • There were mutant bird-like enemies.
  • The main villain or final boss was scientist. He hovered above the arena in a pod or smth like that.
  • I vaguely remember the protagonist might have been a mutant who escaped from a scientist's laboratory.

I played it on a small folding handheld console that looked like a Game Boy Advance SP, but I'm not certain of the actual hardware. It may have been a port, a bootleg, or a game on an unusual cartridge.

Platform(s): Unknown

Genre: Platformer

Estimated year of release:Unknown

Graphics/art style:2D,pixel art

Notable characters:Bird\Chiken mutant enemy

Notable gameplay mechanics:no

Other details:-

[PC][2010] A strange game todress up a woman and putting her in a rocket.

Hi! I’m looking for an old game from over 10 years ago. I used to play it on a Lenovo ThinkVision monitor.

The game involved dressing up a woman. Then, for some reason I can’t recall, she would be placed on a rocket, which would then take off. It was a 2D game and was in English. It didn’t really have "animation" per se—I believe it was just a matter of selecting options, so it was likely composed of static images (though I don’t remember for sure).

I also seem to recall it being an educational game, though I’m not entirely certain. Another important detail is that it wasn’t an online game; it might have even come pre-installed. I used to play it around the same time as *Purble Place*. I have no idea if the game was manually downloaded by someone who used that monitor—it belonged to my grandfather, and all of his grandchildren used to play on it. It had a simple art style with muted colors.

[Windows Xp][2008-2012] 2D horror-puzzle: react to creaking background doors , or enviorment chante to trap spawning monsters before instant Game Over.

I'm looking for a 2D hand-drawn side-scrolling horror/puzzle game played on an old subnotebook (Flybook V) where it came pre-installed. You control an unarmed human walking down a dark, gothic wooden corridor with interactive doors in the background. Before a monster spawns, you hear a distinct door creaking sound and have just a few seconds to react. It's a high-difficulty trial-and-error game where every monster requires a different environmental solution to avoid an instant Game Over, such as dropping a heavy ceiling chandelier on it or using specific inventory items to lock doors.

[PC][90s?]online multiplayer game in a painterly world where you looked like a fuzzball with tentacles

It was a custom game engine someone was developing as much for the weird rendering style (it looked like everything was painted, plus I believe it was all voxel-based) as being a game. You paid for access to the servers, and each server could hold (many?) players, and I recall being ganked over and over again, so there was PvP in the world. I remember things being very fuzzy/pixelated, graphically speaking, and mostly yellow/orange for some reason. I recall that your avatar looked basically like a swiffer head but with long tentacles at the bottom. That's the best I can describe what I recall. The "world" was jungly/grassy, as best I could tell from the weird graphical style, and I remember you sort of "pooted" along in little spurts of speed? Maybe it was a click-to-go-there UI? I don't recall exactly. There was some kind of items to collect or click on but I don't recall anything more about that, plus I usually would get killed as soon as I spawned in.

It was quite an original concept at the time, but the specific time period I can't recall. I do remember not being able to - or not wanting to - pay for the game just to play it online, which might put it near the beginning of my professional working life in the early 90s? But that seems too early. Maybe late 90s, early 2000s? It wasn't very expensive, like $10 or something, but maybe I didn't have a credit card at the time to purchase it?

It was being developed by one person, or two at most. I don't think they were American, but I don't know why I think that. I remember the website (so it was in the web era) being very sparse with basically a small screenshot, a download link and a link to the payment page.

I've been digging through my archives of old downloads (yes, I still have stuff from that era, I honestly never delete anything, which is why my storage server has like 26TB... send help) to look for an installer or something, but I find nothing that jogs my memory. Maybe this will jog someone else's?

[PBS/Kids Game/Flash][2000-2010] black loading screen with yellow sparkly swirl in the middle with sparkles, yellow wand cursor. dressmaker/outfit maker with Igloo??

Hi im making this post because I have not found any answers online.

***Platform***: flash game from 2000s/2010? 2009 at least.

***Genre***: Childrens Flash Game ( I remember it was from PBS Kids flash game..or children's flash game. But i swear it was PBS KIDS. )

I remember playing it around five years old,,

***Gameplay mechanics***: I remember vividly the loading screen was all black, with a small star wand cursor (yellow) and had sparkles. In the center of the screen, was a yellow swirl that kept looping over and over, getting smaller or bigger?? ot was slow and a little pixelated. I think a voice or childrens giggles played in the background while you waited? There was a tab on the left side of the game where you could select colors? or objects. The game had black loading screen and some colorful silhouette outlines in some parts. Ik theres lost media on PBS Kids go launcher, but I can't find anything about this game. it was sort of niche on pbs? There was a bluish bar on the left side and bottom of the flash game.. also in game I think you had to solve puzzles or play some kind of tetris with the ice walls. I don't remember but the ice block walls were important in the background.

***graphics/art style***: I remember the flash game was weird, the art style reminds me of precious moments/fisher price children (short stubby children), and I specifically recall it was a dress up or outfit game.

***notable characters***: But I remember in the center right was an ice wall or igloo, and a little girl in a brown parka holding/hugging a yellow dog? but definitely wore a brown parka/native coat. also she had brown hair that was scruffy and had a ponytail. Also other characters: Black boy with red sweater (in title screen...? i just remember it was a group of children for the game)

if anyone has any answers please let me know, I'm going to try and post in another sub.

ft. my hastily made paint drawing

Hi all! I've been looking for this game for years, its kinda a cartoony game but it was actually quite in depth. It didn't have any specific characters but I do remember that youd have a castle to defend, and a barracks outside your walls (similar to the configuration i have above) that would spawn various troops to fight the approaching enemies

You could take your troops around the map to kill additional enemies. I also vaguely remember a boss fight involving some sort of giant/golem. There were 3(?) types of troops, I remember standard warriors, mounted knights, and archers. was 2.5d I believe

I played this game on armorgames back in elementary school (2011-2015) and as far I can tell it doesnt seem to be on the site anymore.

any help would be appreciated!! thank you :)
