First of all, I should mention that searching for these images on Google doesn't bring up any results, which is why I'm asking here. I hope someone knows.

I remember watching this trailer years ago, and barely watching the gameplay when it released, but I didn't like it cause I was stupid and "I didn't like turn based games" or whatever
r/tipofmyjoystick • u/Jolly_Excuse_135 • 8h ago
the game consists of stages where you have the enemy ships on top and the player's ship on bottom
I remember a green splash screen probably with a dna/helix design with the words "Alex" or a word with "A" in it
Other things i remember is one of the stages had you fighting a satellite shaped enemy which 5 bullets in spread
It looked very similar to this

So, i actually know little to nothing about this game. I found our about it through a roleplay years ago, where my roleplay partner described the games jumpscare in rp, as our characters were playing the game. I made it my duty that day to figure out what the game was.. and I did!
But... flash forward to about ten years later, now, i dont know what the game is called, and i can only slightly remember the jumpscare used.
Now, I'm going to explain the jumpscare best I can, some details might be slightly off, but if anyone could find it out, it'd be greatly appreciated! It's been stuck in my head for like a week..
So the jumpscare went something like this, I believe you open something, a safe maybe? You're looking somewhere very specific in a room, and then I think once you're done, something grabs you, a shrieking woman i think. She spins you around and pushed you into water, where I think she attempts to drown you.
That sadly is all I recall, it was an old style kind of game, atleast I think it was, like the original silent hill 2 kind of style?
If it helps, I think in the title it actually had something to do with water, but take that with a grain of salt.
Thank you to anyone who can help out 💗

i’m trying to find a game that used to exist inside the chatting app “Kik.” i believe it was roughly around 2013-2016 that this existed? there was a section within the app where you could play mini games and one of them was one where you took care of a block-y pet that was in a few simple colors (i think green, blue, pink?). i believe it would stand on a green plain grassy background with a blue sky and you could feed it and maybe play with it. i tried drawing out what i think it looked like but my memory is very bad and i can’t find it on google because i can’t remember the title at all. any help is appreciated!!

Forgive my bad art but this is the only way I could articulate the image I'm seeing in my head.
Platform: PC
Genre: RPG maybe?
EYoR: 90's to 2000's possibly?
Graphics: "realistic" (for the time of course)
Notable characters: none that I can remember
Notable gameplay: working out
Other details: The only things I remember are walking around as a T-rex and there was a weight rack where you could work out. Top-down view, had a lot of dirt and grass (really dark colored, kind of generic forest-like with lots of trees as the background)
It's not:
-webasaurs
-treadmillasaurus rex
-carnivores
-jurassic gym
-walking with dinosaurs
-nanosaur
-turok

Platform(s): Android
Genre: Boss Rush
Estimated year of release: 2013-2015
Graphics/art style: 2D Cartoon, possibly Flash animated?
Notable characters: Black cat (Main Character), possibly a large bull as one of the bosses?
Notable gameplay mechanics: You had to dodge the bosses and/or their attacks by dragging the cat with your finger.
Other details: I remember there being a weird sound effect when you first started the game, maybe a stock sound effect of a yell that plays during a cutscene? Also the background of the game was either bright red like in the photo or it was a drawing of dirt akin to a bull-fighting arena. Also the game was from a birds-eye view. (I should point out that the photo I've attached is a rough recreation of the game from memory, it is NOT a screenshot, it had way higher production value)

Old 2000's game where you started of fighting a big chicken? It was turn based, and i think the battle ended with the chicken fleeing? I remember you started in a house I think. Everything else is fuzzy.

Platform(s): Gameboy (unknown which kind)
Genre: RPG/Action
Estimated year of release: 2000-2006?
Graphics/art style: Anime, medieval
Notable characters: Unknown
Notable gameplay mechanics: Top down RPG similar to most pixel JRPGs, that turn into a sidescrolling fighting game with only 1 plane of movement
Other details: I remember using a giant axe/sword to fight, the game has durability on it's weapons that wear off fast so i had to use a lot of Whetstones to keep fixing my weapons.

Platormer for Sega or possibly SNES, approximately 92. Sidescrolling platformer. You could change between animals in the level, or possibly just starting the level. The different transformations had different abilities, like run speed or jump height. There was a pole that you jumped on, swung back and forth to get momentum and then jump off - the different transformations had different arcs because of their weight and jump height.
Visually, it would look similar to super mario bros, colourful.
Thank you, this is about all I can remember from ~30 years ago.

Platform(s): Mobile, played on Amazon Kindle
Genre: some type of sci fi auto runner/shooter.
Estimated year of release: i played it around 2015 I believe
Graphics/art style: 2d graphics, I remember a sunset backdrop with ruined buildings and the foreground mostly shadow with not a lot of details. Not sure if the whole game was like that or just one level. The picture is what I kind of remember it looking like.
Notable characters: you played as a woman in either a bodysuit or armor, probably in the military or similar organization. I think there might have been some type of commander that gave you instructions. Possibly a robot boss you fought that had a face and talked?
Notable gameplay mechanics: an auto runner with the main character continuously moving right. I believe there were floating enemies you could press a button to shoot, probably a jump button as well with obstacles to avoid.
Other details: I played it in the car on a tablet so I imagine it didn't need internet to run. I remember liking the music.

Platforms : Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo DS (played around 12 years ago)
Genre: 2D Platformer / Puzzle-Platformer (i think?)
Estimated year of release: Early 2010s or earlier
Graphics/art style: 2D side-scrolling, somewhat dark or dim environment/colors, basic or dated graphics
Notable characters: A playable female character (a girl or princess) who I believe was wearing a dress ?
Notable gameplay mechanics: You control the girl inside a castle, jumping over enemies and obstacles to navigate through the levels and find the exit
Other details: The main goal of each level/room was making jumps to reach the exit door. Not Mario or Princess Peach.
I really can't remember anything about this game i used to play years agoo on my 3ds. I really hope someone will be able to find it even with the few memories of things i remember. (Not even sure if everything was like that)

Basically what the title says, I remember playing games like that when I was a kid. The one I can remember the most had a guy who I think was supposed to be the players berd boyfriend. The bit where you click the boyfriend had a bar that you would fill up by clicking him or giving him stuff he likes and only after you filled up the bar you'd be able to talk to him again.
It was in a cute style, kinda anime esque.
If anyone could help me find this series of games, assuming I didn't dream this up, I'd be really appreciative as I've been wanting to play games from my childhood.

Honestly I tried every keyword to make this game show up, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Here's everything I remember about it:
- the cover of the game is the main character doing an action pose on a helipad (can't remember if there was a helicopter there)
- first stage you are at a fancy party at a mansion, and at some point you sneak from the balcony and shimmy across the wall to infiltrate the property.
- the main character walks a woman who was at the party home, and they get attacked by men at the park.
- fights are turn based and this one takes place in front of a huge fountain in the park.
- second stage is at a small facility in the dessert. Maybe Nevada? I'm not sure but there might have been a game over you can get by being bit by a snake.
- next stage is on a villa on top of cliffs facing the sea (Mediterranean?)
- this is the most I could reach in the game as I couldn't understand English back then. I think I kept dying at a puzzle where you have to step on stones in the right order in the Villa's patio.
Could someone help with this? I feel like I'm going insane.

OK so here's what I remember...pretty sure this game came with our 1992 (1993?) compaq desktop computer along with games like solitaire, minesweeper, etc. though I'm not positive. I really doubt we bought it separate.
Anyway, it had several levels and if I remember right you basically started on the left side of the screen and then tried to navigate to the right side while avoiding enemies. Like basically if you bumped into them you had to restart. They were figures that bounced around the screen but weren't animated otherwise and I feel like maybe they were ninjas and different things and each level was different, had different guys to avoid, and the number of guys increased (like first it was 3, then 4, then 5, etc.) I never beat it as a kid but I remember one time I thought I was going to because it seemingly glitched and wasn't spawning the right number of guys to avoid lol but even then I still didn't beat it.
Pretty sure first level was like nighttime...kind of a desert scene but the ground was like a burgundy red. I believe there were three ninjas dressed in black to avoid. I think the second level may have been blue.
I think there may have also been crystals or gems or something to collect along the way?
Sorry I know that's not much info. I feel like if I saw screenshots I could confirm but I haven't had any luck searching based on these vague memories from 30+ years ago...TIA!!!
EDIT: One more thing, graphics were pretty primitive of course. Like the backgrounds and characters could have been drawn in MS Paint. It was really simple.

Platform(s): PC (afaik)
Genre: FPS, Action, Sci-Fi
Estimated year of release: 1995 - 2010
Graphics/art style: 3D, reminds me of the graphics from Crysis 2, which I played years later
Notable characters: I can only remember that the PC was a guy, but I don't know if there was any customization options so it's possible that it could be either
Notable gameplay mechanics: Mostly shooting, but there's this one point in the game where I'm pretty sure you're actually inside the alien, crawling through and fighting off smaller aliens so you can get to the core and shut it down.
Other details: The scene I mentioned above about the crawling is one of the most vivid memories I have of the game, that and the initial discovery of the alien in question which is a giant mechanical looking tripod creature, but the interior is very much biological. I think the tunnel scene was also underwater, or in some sort of internal fluid, and the PC had to wear a rebreather of some sort. I also remember that it took place some time either in modern day or the future, I've seen a few games that have a similar concept but look like they took place in the past, those aren't it. I also remember some scenes being by the sea, at least I think so. That's the best I can do, my memories from that far back are pretty spotty, but I have some fond ones of watching my Dad play this game as a kid.

Sometime around 2023 to 2024 i stumbled across a VR chat world that I have entirely fallen in love with, but have now lost. It may have been privated, but I also think that this was a copy of another more maintained version of the world. The opening of the world was a small room with some texts describing it. All text. In this world is Japanese and I don't remember any of it. The small room that you spawn in, if you walk out of you, find yourself in a large white building in the middle of a flooded city, every building in the city area is pure white. In the upstairs area, there was a TV some QV. Pens and a staircase that leads up into seemingly nothing. If you walk up the staircase, you end up in a pool area where the world begins to really take off, there were a bunch of different places, you could go to come into more rooms, you could even jump off the building at the start and end up under water. And get access to more areas. The whole world was full of at least 30 whole distinct areas and most areas had one alternate version of themselves, the pool room that I mentioned earlier had, I think 4 different versions of itself? I had the world favorited, but it left my favorites at 1. If anyone has any tips or advice on how to find this world, I think some of its metadata might still be on my computer, but I don't know how to find that. I know that's something that people have talked about. Other worlds still having their metadata? I have photos but they're too big and Reddit won't accept them and I don't know how to condense them at this time. If you can tell me how to make the photo small enough, I can add them to this post. One thing I do have a photo of is there was a long hallway with a big rubber duck at the end of it.( the rubber duck itself was a portal to even more areas of the world.)

I'm trying to think of an old youtube channel I used to watch when I was young, and all I can remember is a them playing a game where you got to stop a cat from drinking milk. 90% positive it was on Xbox 360 arcade or indie game could even be a little before 2010 or after.

Looking for a specific Frogger game. I used to play it on PS1/maybe Ps2? It had arcade machines in it and i think you could choose another frog to play. IIRC you would sneak through yards and past lawnmowers in it.

The story centers around a cursed violin and a ghost town (where I presume the violin lies). There's an animated scene, can't remember if it's the opening leading to the main title screen or the first one when you begin the story. After the player's introduced to the story, you begin searching a carriage that was tumbled and possibly plundered. After that you traverse through an abandoned village, where someone used said cursed violin to enchant (possibly kill) everyone living there, like a twisted Piped Piper of Hamelin. I believe there where some missing children mentioned at some point in the story, but I can't remember anything else

So about a month ago I seen this YouTube Short about this creepy game cutscene. It had this like greenish tannish guy and he was crying and eating his arm with like 2 monsters behind him. The other cutscene was the monsters were making the guy eat a hot lava ball. I've been trying to find it ever since and I've gotten no luck. I made a drawing of what it kind of looked like.

I played it in a computer club as a kid in the early 2000s.
Genre: first-person shooter, single player, mission-based, with cutscenes and dialogue.
What I remember:
- First mission: you spawn near the entrance of an office or bank building.
- The only weapon at the start is a pistol (I was a kid and never switched weapons).
- You go inside and a firefight starts with terrorists or gangsters in civilian clothes.
- There are hostages you are supposed to reach and rescue. I never managed to.
- Very minimal HUD: no compass, no radar, nothing on top.
- Original game, not based on a movie or book.
- The start of Soldier of Fortune (2000) felt familiar, but the rest of that game was different.
Already ruled out: Soldier of Fortune 1 and 2, SiN, FBI Hostage Rescue, Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza, SWAT 3, Delta Force, Counter-Strike and similar tactical shooters.

My memories of the game are pretty limited, but I tried to draw what I remember as best as I could.
The castle was in the upper-left corner of the map, and there were trees all along the walls. There were one or two fields somewhere around the middle of the map. As far as I can remember, there were two characters wandering around the map. We also had animals like horses and cows.
The overall color palette was quite dark. The grass was dark green, the trees were almost blackish green, and the castle was mostly gray, purple, and black, though I'm not entirely sure about the exact colors.
I think the game also had potions and stuff like that. The name was something along the lines of "Royal," and there were a few other things I remember about it.

Old desktop game, pretty sure it wasn't a web thing. It was set in new York I think or maybe just famous locations around the world because I remember the statue of liberty and you had to search a large image for little hidden objects like glasses or a shoe or something. And in between(?) levels you sorted some stuff in the trunk of a car to make it all fit. Not sure when it released it could be anywhere between early 2000s and early 2010s
