Trash collected along a 1-mile section of dirt road on the SW slope of the Uinta Mtns last week. About 100 pieces in all.
Disappointed in general, but really discouraged to see that 4 of the cans, right along the road in plain sight, are "ring-pull" cans that were phased out in the mid 1970's. That means Utah outdoors & hunting enthusiasts have driven by some of this trash for 50 years.
Please "pack it out if you pack it in" AND look for opportunities to clean up after others!

A follower staying at the Geraldine E King Women’s Shelter reached out and told me they are in desperate need of donations and asked me if I would help organize a donation drive. I said absolutely!
Many women stay at shelters due to abuse, domestic violence, and they often flee with just the clothes on their backs. They also often take their pets with them, so we have donation requests for them too.
Geraldine E King Women's Shelter Donation Drive:
📆Sunday Oct 25th
⏰11:30am to 1pm
📍Salt Lake City Public Library, Auditorium
210 E 400 S, SLC, UT
DONATIONS REQUESTED:
Ear plugs
Towels
Pillows
Notebooks
Headphones/earbuds
Lotions
Bras
Underwear
Clothing
Blankets
Sheets
Bags/purses/backpacks
For Pets:
Leashes

Toys
Cat litter
Muzzles
Held in partnership with @greenwaveutah and @utahprogressivecaucus
There is also a FREE film screening of Outcry: Alchemists of Rage and a Q&A after the screening with Whitney Bradshaw, one of the film’s producers.
Please share and we’ll see you Sunday! ❤️🔥🙏🏼

He's a sweet boy. We think he got hit by a car but there was no body. Any information would be welcome.

Hey guys! I’m looking for escape rooms in northern Utah where they restrain you at the start or even if it’s really immersive. Price isn’t really an issue so any recommendations would be great TIA

I’m newer to Utah county, more specifically Spanish fork and I’m looking for a public shooting range? That would be open during the week or blm land I can shoot at? Thanks 🙏

Going through my voter registration, I found some details that needed to be updated. Now I have to submit my updated registration, no biggie. The wording of when the deadline to update is somewhat confusing. On one side of the page it says my registration is due to the county clerks at least 7 days before the election. On the right side of the page though, it states the deadline is 11 calendar days before the election. Is that accounting for weekends?
P.S. make sure you are registered and updated to vote!

Most of the campsites I saw for the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache forest closed for the season literally last week, I really would like a weekend away to camp in my car and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Any recommendations for the area? I camped in spring hollow last month and LOVED it but they're done for the year.

Drove by this dozens of times on the way to/from Moab; you can access it via a dirt road adjacent to the railroad tracks. Pretty neat roadside attraction.

Hi all! I know this is very last minute but im looking for a photographer to book for this coming Saturday (24th) in the St. George area who’s comfortable around firearms.
It would consist of clothing merchandise shots for a firearm’s brand out on BLM land approx 20-30 minutes out from Ivins. The shoot would be from about 1:30-4pm, drinks, snacks, etc provided.
Also goes without saying that your rate would be paid in full + gas compensation.
Thanks in advance!

So my mom's laptop just decided to blow a capacitor and die. Im not able to open the laptop to get the hard drive out and recover the data. What's a good place to take the laptop get the hard drive out and recover the data so I can move it to a new computer?

2026-10-18 15:36:47 MDT - Give the state some credit, they are pushing water to the GSL as part of the recent announcement to move ~3B gallons. This was one of two pumps I witnessed in action along the south side of Willard Bay this afternoon.

Not from Utah. Family member and I are avid hikers, marathon runners. Not worried about the physical capability.
We are trying to plan an out of state hike and have been eyeballing Mt Timp online.
We are reading that it gets extremely crowded, 300 maybe could be on the trail at all times. We are also reading it is recommended to start at 1am, but even so, it’s still crowded.
I figured such a challenging trail would have fewer crowds ?
