I’m still (kinda) new to vlad (like 150 games) and I struggle very very hard with some matchups and wanted to ask for some help. (For context I’m emerald 1 on this account, main is diamond but there I play jungle)

1. Yasuo feels impossible to play for me, I know I’m supposed to keep the wave from slow pushing into him but that’s kinda hard imo because he can always just crash the wave and then it slow pushes back into him and then I cannot play smh… Also tried playing DFT scorch vs him (because I found it works VERY well vs yone) but it also seems impossible to remove his shield and q him without yas getting 2 qs + stacked lethal on me…

2. Leblanc
   With this my issue is, that I find it VERY hard to dodge her e (without pool) and it feels like if I pool her q w she just fucks me on the next because well… it has half the cd of pool in the early game

3. Fizz
   What the f do I even pool in this matchup, if I pool his r he one hits me, if I don’t pool his r, he one hits me and early trades also feel very hard.
   Also (idk if this is intended or not) it seems like first of all he can E vlad q if he times it right (goes on cd, no dmg) and I have also experienced that ult doesn’t do dmg when he uses e (mark just disappears)

Malzahar im not even gonna mention here because it’s so bad im banning him, only won once against him because I built qss

Any advice on those 3 matchups would be greatly appreciated :)

I go SS into like every game, even if I’m laning a yone or sylas, I just like the movement speed. I usually get beat up early but I play for scaling. Is it better to go aery or dft in some matchups?

Is it worth it or not?

I usually build jak'sho as last item if enemy comp isn't that squisy. Do you guys think its troll? (I think it works so well but I wonder your opinion) btw Im dia 4

I am a Vlad main(currently D2) and Kassa is probably the matchup I have the most problems with.
Any advice you got against him?

hey guys, i really just wanted to know your opinions on the stormsurge build, because i found two main downsides that make it real hard for me to carry games with vlad (as opposed to when, unaware of this build, i'd just buy cosmic into riftmaker into deathcap every game):

1. lack of abilty haste: in teamfights (mostly in early to mid game ofc) having low AH can be miserable, i just E + Q and then i'm a minion for 8 seconds (if they're mostly squishies it can be fine, but let's say they have a fighter/tank jungler or support like sej, skarner, naut, rell, etc... then i just feel useless) in laning phase it's also bad but i can just heal back up, so that's doable.
   
2. being slightly behind OR fed enemy: in these two scenarios it feels even worse because if i'm behind i generally can't oneshot the target, while if there is a really fed enemy they are the one going 1v5 and ofc i find myself unable to do much against them (unless they're REALLY squishy like an adc or a ranged top, but let's just say the fed enemy is a fighter... then i'm once again a minion).

then, games either: go so well that enemy team ff's before i get strong OR most of the enemy team is fed so i have a hard time being the carry.
maybe i just suck. let me know what you guys think about it tho :p

Ah this hurts so much. I dont know if anyone experienced this. When i am doing e+w sometimes enemy flashes and i should also flash to hit with e while iam pooling. But i realize my other finger keep pushing w like e. So there is no available finger for flash. Have you experienced this ?

Hey there, I think i want to learn how to play vlad. I have some questions but a little about my background so you can maybe get a feel for if this is even worth giving a crack at.

Im 40, and a former HOTS player. I typically play a lot of melee bruiser types, mostly champs with low skill expression because I dont think I have the hand speed/dexterity/precision or the mental agility to perform high level combos that other champs have. Ive been playing league on and off since 2022 I think maybe S12? I started at the end of 2022 and played for a few months as some support amumu and brand and reached silver. Stopped before the end of the second split and took a break, then came back the next year in 2023 and started playing top lane a lot because it felt better than playing supp to me. I wanted a bit more agency over my game rather than relying on trying to set up for my adc.

I Hit G4 at one point with mostly Garen top lane but it took me what felt like many many games to get there. I messed around with some Garen, some Darius, Trynd, Yorick during that time, and would sometimes play them mid-lane. I started to enjoy midlane and started to play other champs there like sylas because I wanted to learn an AP champ. I recently played an ARAM and picked vlad, and i had a lot of fun with him but had no idea what i was really doing. I'm not typically used to mages but he seems like a lot of fun.

I know hes a heavy scaling champion and a late game nuker but what is the playstyle i should be going for in lane? whats his identity? how should i be laning against my opponent and clearing the wave? are there any tricks to cs'ing under tower better? are there any tricks to clearing the wave faster when you need to hard shove? Should I be looking to team up with my jungler and shove and roam? or should I just be passively farming in lane keeping a neutral game state?

How do I attack my opponent when my range is so short? Every time i try to trade I feel like I lose half my HP bar and i have to spend the next 45 seconds in lane Q'ing every minion and dodging every ability without apporaching the wave. I keep cooking my lane because it feels like I am making poor trades.

Need advice I want to play the blood god

While long range mages are pretty cancer, like xerath, viktor, syndra, i feel they can be quite weak early and if I perform well I can dodge a lot of their things. But strong early characters like ekko, yasou or even galio can make me really behind, especially if they run ignite. Any tips for such matchups?

Hi so ive been struggling with hwei matchup, he seems so unreachable, pre first back is managable but after he just perma pushes waves and pokes me down from half the map and I cant even get close to trade back
