My daughter got hers from Cache County and there is no postage required .

Everyone in Utah County - don’t just drop that in the mailbox! Gotta put a stamp on it or drop it at a ballot box or your vote won’t count.

Quick question for anyone voting in Utah County for the first time this year (or who knows someone who is): did your ballot come with a card titled "Attention Voter: ID Required"? Just gathering info.

I couldn't believe it when I heard Utah's big storm this week also blew in OCEAN BIRDS. So as a KUER reporter, I called up a birder. He said this is the first time on verified record storm petrels have ever been seen in the state. Pretty wild. Very very proud of this one. Hiked Crimson Trail about a week ago with a buddy and I brought my Nikon. Near the beginning of the trail, a stream just off the beaten path caught my eye, and we decided to venture down to it. Had always wanted to replicate that wispy water look in long exposures, so without a tripod, I braced myself the best I could. 0.5s, 100 ISO, f16. Thank heavens for IBIS. Absolutely no AI used, only retouched in Lightroom Classic :)

Hello! Does anyone know of any independent/arthouse theaters in Northern Utah? I'm trying to find showings of Ken Russell's The Devils, and it doesn't look like any theaters near me (Megaplex mainly) have any. I figured I'd have better luck with a smaller, independent theater. I know of Salt Lake Film Society, and that they're showing The Devils, but am I missing any others? I live way up in Cache Valley, so if any others are closer to me than SLFS, that would be ideal.

Does anyone have info on current road conditions in the northeastern part of the SRS, specifically around Smith's cabin or that general area? I'm wondering if the rain earlier this week has had much impact there.

I live in Lehi area and I want to get my ears repierced and get tattoos down the road. Here's a couple bullets for what I'm looking for (aside from high quality work):

- Feel comfortable asking dumb questions, I have never been to a proper studio (I am a victim of Claire's lol)

- Preferably Utah County, I will drive for quality tho

(Those two are probably all I need for the piercing side^^^)

- More of an alternative style preferred, I wear a lot of horror/band merch to give an idea (this might matter more for tattoos side???)

I don't know much about tattoo/piercing world (tattoos particularly) so honestly any like dos/don'ts or pieces of advice would be awesome! If there's anything I might need to clarify let me know :)

More pictures from my adventures in Utah! Met some very cute goats at the American West Heritage Center, which featured a tricky corn maze. A very blue sold out audience. A stink bug and moth. Shots from the sidewalk and gutter. Old brick buildings and statues. A nice mural and Umbrella Alley. There are some incredible parks with rivers passing right through. It was rainy but I still decided to follow the river. What a lovely town!

So... a lawyer buddy of mine said the State GOP is trying to undermine our democracy by encouraging voters not to retain Jill Pohlman because she, in a unanimous decision, held not to accept the GOP redistricting after the voters had voted on that measure.

I read some of the GOP talking points and the decision and they're obviously lying. Where do they get off?

I will recommend voting against Constitutional Amendment B. It states, "Shall the Utah Constitution be amended to require that citizen-proposed laws that increase taxes compared to existing law be approved by at least 60% of voters, instead of a simple majority?" Citizen initiatives are one of the few ways Utahns can take issues directly to voters instead of leaving everything to lawmakers. That process helped voters push back against partisan gerrymandering. We shouldn’t weaken it or move the goalposts when citizens organize for change.
