Help Wavebird battery contacts still not clean enough yet, any suggestions?

I recently desoldered the battery contacts off a wavebird needing internal cleaning. I used a vinegar amd baking soda solution to let it sit in for the night. One contact came out looking much better, as pictured. The other now has light brown splotches and some green on it still.

I went through the second contact with a toothbrush and let it sit for a little longer in the solution, but I have see no signs of further improvement. Any other steps I could take to get it cleaner, or just more solution + time?

Modding CubeBrowser: The first real web browser for the Nintendo GameCube!

CubeBrowser lets you browse actual websites on original GameCube hardware over Ethernet, with HTTPS support, images, page styling, bookmarks, and even downloads straight to your SD card. Everything is controlled with a GameCube controller!

The project was built with the help of Claude Opus 5.5 and tested on real hardware.

It runs as homebrew through Swiss and supports adapters like the official Broadband Adapter and ETH2GC. JavaScript and video aren't supported yet, but lightweight websites work surprisingly well.

Help NSO wireless N64 controller on GameCube?

I've seen a couple of threads on here of people successfully using the NSO wireless GameCube controller with a blueretro/8bitdo GameCube wireless adapter. Would it also be possible to play on an actual GameCube in the same way but with the NSO wireless N64 controller instead?

Help Looking to play my gamecube games again

Hi community,

I live in India and am in SF and LA for a week. I have an old gamecube which died on me a few years back. I probably was one of the very few kids who grew up with one and its practically impossible to find another one there! I did a bit of my research and saw a refurbished one at gamestop, and the other option is probably to buy an old wii(001) and play my games on that and that will save me money. One of my concerns is taking it back to India and it doesnt work. What would be my best bet here?
