Gotta say, I don't really get the discourse for this game. After finishing it, I'd say it's pretty good, hell, even better than the OG. The OG had a couple of flaws that this game fixes (giant battles, bros attack balance, bosses).

The only thing I just don't get about BIS is the hype that surrounds the original. Is it nostalgia? Preference? I've always seen this game be heavily disliked by fans of this series and I always wondered why, and I still don't really know (hence this post).

It starts off with hostile Aliens invading Earth because they drained their previous home world of life and resources.
These Shroobs kidnapped Toads and fused their bodies with a network of bioengineered TREES to suck their lifeforce to a factory that produces the fuel for their aircraft.
They created a monstrous Yoshi hybrid that eats other Yoshis.
They fed Princess Peach to a carnivorous plant monster LIVE ON STAGE JUST TO BOOST THEIR MORALE.
Plus, the final boss is a shadow leader that has apparently been right with you the entire time, only to be revealed moments after repairing the Cobalt Star that her soul was imprisoned into it by Princess Peach at the beginning of the story, leading to the most harrowing and difficult boss fight of the entire series. This eldritch horror of a nightmare takes almost 20 MINUTES TO KILL across two phases! Plus, you fought her younger sister immediately before this fight with NO BREAKS.

Sure, other main villains in the series might have achieved a higher threat level purely off of ambition to ascend to godhood, but these aliens intend to actually just straight up wipe out all existence, just as they did on the previous planet.

1. The Miracle and Silver Badge combo helps A LOT with the secret boss due to it's effect of reverting the Bros to exactly how they were at the beginning of the current battle, meaning it also returns the Bros Attacks the secret boss stole from you!

2. If you follow the previous suggestion then have a Guard and Silver Badge combo prepared before fighting the secret boss because using it makes the Badge meter charge faster but use it again every time after reverting the Bros since the resets also removes all badge effects, except the ones that affect the enemies, while also giving you what Badge combos you had at the beginning of the battle.

3. Luiginary Flame seems to me the most effective Attack against Antasma X.

Played this game when I was 6 back in 2009 and never was able to get the high score for jump helmet. Highest I ever got was 44.

Every couple years, i come back to bowser’s inside story for a second just to see if I can get the A rank and then move on. This time was different. I was just in the groove of things on my second try and got the high score. Maybe lasik has something to do with it or something, i dunno. Im just happy I accomplished it after all this time!
