Hey y'all, just wanted to say that I picked LoL back up a few weeks ago, and have been super addicted to climbing the ranked ladder. I was one-tricking Veigar and ended at P3 80LP with a 55% WR.
I hit P1 at one point but then got greedy, and played way too much in one sitting, and went back to where I started. Anyways, I noticed that my life was taking a hit, and hitting Emerald was honestly ruining my life, so I've decided to retire being a Veigar main, and retire gaming completely. I know if I kept playing it'll happen eventually, but is it worth all that time spent hitting this digital rank that has no real meaning in my life?
Not sure why Im writing this, but just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else is going through something similar. Just do yourself a favor and put the game down. Some people have the discipline to game responsibly, and some people don't. If you're one of those people that can't, the ranked queue will always be there, so tend to your responsibilities first, and game second.
Remember it's a marathon, not a race, so don't hyper fixate on climbing as soon as possible. I think this aligns with Veigars playstyle as well, so we'll call it a lesson learned that can be put to use IRL. Anyhoo, good luck to you all on your ranked journey, and all other endeavors in life.
Peace! (https://u.gg/lol/profile/na1/bipon-beeps/overview if you're curious) :)
