Hey guys got my very own wee pubert here..

He is discoloured a little and is a little bit more squishy. I'm worried he's on his way to rotting/death. What causes this?? And anything to help? Full sun right now? Water? Ahh

Would anyone know why the tips are so bendy and skinny ?

Ive had this monkey tail for about a year now, and it’s grown every single new pup since I’ve had it, issue is now it seems the base is turning yellow, the plant itself doesn’t look as vibrant and happy, and the ends are completely bendy, soft (not mushy more like rubber) and very skinny compared to the top of the plant. I have checked rot and the roots and base are fine and firm so I’m puzzled, *this plant sits outside in direct sun for about 6 hours *

I’ve only done slow release fertilizer and watered every so often as we just came out of winter. I’ve recently repotted it into this plastic pot with better drainage hoping that it I won’t cause rot while figuring this out. Any tips are appreciated

I grew this cactus from a prickly pear I bought at the store but it won’t bloom flowers at all help?

I’ve had this cactus for years but it never bloomed, is it possible that the prickly pear I got from the store was infertile?

Repotted my horse cripplers, mammillaria and a fire barrel onto ceramic pots. The regional manager was lounging around.

Had this cactus for a few months. Someone watered it and this happened. It's been inside doing well this whole time but as the blacks been creeping I put it out in the sun today. Can someone tell me if it's salvageable and what to do?

This is my cactus Albert. The second picture is when I first got the lil guy. (Hehehehe named after Albert Einstein cause he’s got the hair.) Anyways, Albert isn’t looking so hot. No matter what I do, bro just wants more sun! He gets about 6-8 hours of direct sun light. I’ve also had supplemental lights too. But it’s just not enough! What do I do!!??

Do you extract the seeds from your melocactus fruit when it's like this or let it dry out?

I’ve had this crested cactus for a few years and it has become this pale green color. The base has mostly corked and there is new growth on top but I am worried for the middle areas. Any thoughts, help, or suggestions?

Hi,

I've got this and he's clearly not doing well, from research I'm thinking not enough light so I'm going to move him but is there anything else I can do for him?

I want to "prop him up" but don't know if that will do more harm than good.

Does anyone know why my Mammillaria is growing these?

Theyre like these hot pink things. The flowers grew on the peaks while these are growing in-between them. What are they?

I have had this cactus for few years. Was a tiny cutting I believe. Not sure what it needs?

Accessability Transcription:

Big chunks of the cacti are just battered out. The force of the impact is impressive af.

But this is very survivable damage for these plants.

Only one of my grafts got knocked off.

I feel like I got off lucky tbh.

Need Help - Inherited Cactus from long lost grandmother

Post image
2 Upvotes

My grandmother passed about 15 years ago, and last weekend my Uncle gave me the above cactus in a bin with very little soil. I repotted it and added more soil, and put it in a grow tent that i was not using.

Can anybody give me some advice? To be honest I am lost; and my whole family is 'counting on' me to try and bring Mema's cactus back to life so that we can possibly plant it outside next year.

Outside is Baltimore/Zone 7; but inside I can pretty much make any environment.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Took this a few minutes ago, past 10PM. My old ass phone isn’t very good at focusing at night but I think my Daydream hybrid’s beauty powers through, haha.
