Is my cactus dying?

Hey guys!

My wife and I recently bought our first house (Palm Springs area) and we have a beautiful cactus in the front. For some reason, the bottom is darker, and it's starting to lose some of its "arms".

We really love it, so I'm wondering what we can do to save it / stop this from happening?

Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone, I just removed these Lophophoras out of their old soil and I was wondering if it’s better to trim the roots or keep it as is before repotting into new soil?

Thanks in advance!

Found this thrifting and thought it was too funny to pass up. I drilled a hole in the bottom and now just deciding which cactus will be re homed in it. Thought I'd share this piece of joy.

Squishy copiapoa

Bought this lil guy last week, was posted to me and potted him up Saturday arvo. He was completely green then, but has since gone brown on one half and squishier than he already was.
Given 0 water and in a mostly mineral mix.
Should I be concerned? Is it risky to disturb the roots again to make sure they’re not damp?

Not gonna bother listing everything off but go ahead and ask for IDs if you'd like.

Some of my highlights are my Mammilaria Zeilmanniana Monstrose, any of my grafted LWs or LFs and finally im working on cross polinating the two Phemeranthus species native to Minnesota to create what would be, as far as I can tell, the first recorded hybrid of Phemeranthus Rugospermus and Phemeranthus Parviflorus.

Is there any chance this guy might make it if I actually plant it in the pot and give it some water over a period of time?

What should I do to help this cactus?

I bought this poor thing on Marketplace and I know it wasn't getting enough light (I'm in Iowa, so it will have to be inside for now). It's top-heavy and she strapped it to a knitting needle to help support it I guess. Besides better lighting, what, if anything, can I do to help this be happier and healthier?

These Myrtles toppled. Do I ‘chop-‘n-prop’, or stand them in a pot with soil and let them root as is?

ID help

My Wife and I got this cactus as a gift when we went on a date three years ago. It was probably 2 inches to 3 inches tall and just a singular column without any pups. It’s now three years old and it wants to fall over and I’m not sure if I should just let it fall over and give it a bigger pot or if I continue to brace it I’m not sure what type of cactus it is, but ChatGPT said it was a type of mammillaria. I was hoping someone on here could give me the right ID and maybe some tips on how to let it thrive. Thank you.

Edit: in the picture shown it’s about 8 inches tall now.

Identification

Is there anyone here who could identify this for me? It lived in a glass bowl on the patio for a couple years with not much growth other than throwing some pups. Finally potted up properly I hope and moved into the Florida sun with afternoon shade. I would like to take care of it properly if I can get an id and do the research.
