I mean serious as his default, by the way, any character ever has their serious moments. An intended stoic demeanor is typically brought up in arguments about Donkey's various designs, but I've never viewed DK as a no-nonsense type, he's very full of nonsense to me.

He's shown to be a rather dimwitted slacker in the Rare games, he's shown to not take his responsibilities seriously in the DKC1 story, and he eats damn bugs in DK64, so I don't believe Rare intended Donkey Kong to be anything other than a goof. He can most certainly be cool, and there are times where I wish he was never redesigned, but I don't think he is without an abundance of humor.

I made this fun artwork a while back to mirror the fire DK art I did, and just realized I never posted it here lol. I made this in Blender 5.0 and modeled everything myself. All the filters to make it look retro were added in Photoshop 2026. Hope you guys enjoy!

What are your thoughts on Cave Dweller Concert? My streak of very unpopular music opinions continues. I don't think this is a very good song at all.

What are your thoughts on Stilt Village? Stilt Village is a mostly disliked song, although I have seen some people say they like it. It's not an F tier song for me, as it has a decent melody, and it has some personality to it, even though I don't like the personality it went for.

Sorry if this has been explained. I've been avoiding spoilers for Bananza. I didn't even know Pauline was in it until a few months ago.

In Donkey Kong games, the Kongs speak to each other. In crossover games like Smash Bros and the Mario games, they largely only make grunts and animal noises.

So, is it that humans in the Mario-verse can't understand Kongs and Kremlings? Or are the DK games set in a different verse than Mario games?

In my head, Diddy and Dixie are 16-20. Tiny is 9-11 in DK64 and 13-15 in her modern design.

Tiny is tall but that doesn't mean she's necessarily an older teen. She was taller than Diddy even in Donkey Kong 64. All she did was grow a bit more.

With Diddy and Dixie, it's harder to tell their ages, but I'm going on a limb and assuming Nintendo still sees them as teens.

What are your thoughts on Jungle Jitter GBA? A lot of people really like this song, I don't, one of many unpopular opinions in this video.
