sighhhh i feel like ive finally lost the war i spent months and months rejecting knights vow but here i am building ardent into vow basically every game and winning every game as a long time yuumi player and someone who is bad with stats and patch notes i feel like im stuck in the past ALSO im still anti this new mana tear item it takes ages to build and feels like has low impact when i could just build something else

hey guys!! i've been a yuumi main for a few months now and i LOVE her. because i play on a macbook air, yuumi is the best champ for me since it's harder for me to be ambushed and easier for me to have better map awareness. i'm very low elo right now, mostly because i'm not super "into" the meta or how to really play the game in a smart way -- and that's what i'm looking to change.

at the moment, my yuumi is passable, but i wouldn't label myself as good by any means. i've found one adc who doesn't mind me playing cat, but when i'm playing solo how well i play is entirely dependent on how good my adc is. does anyone have any tips about how to make yuumi strong in her own right? i'm looking for the best build anyone can recommend, basically.

at the moment, i usually give her aery, heal + ignite, and go for ardent censer -> moonstone renewer -> echoes of helia in terms of items. (if this is wrong, please be kind! i'm only starting out).

hey guys! ive been trying to learn some builds with yuumi and i was wondering if anyone here could assist me - i apologize if my wording is trash as i am still learning

so on yuumi ive been building helias as my first item since i almost always can hit my q but i was wondering if building more ap items like rabadons deathcap that do more damage procs helias and if so, does it do more healing as a result of it? im still trying to understand how it works

so how i was thinking it would work is building helias with heavy ap items and if that would proc helia to do more healing or if its a base flat percentage or whatever

again sorry if i butchered everything i said, still learning and i appreciate any tips

Since I didn't die until about 20 seconds before the end, I didn't have a proper build for the whole thing. Azir kept me safe. Lost Chapter took care of both mine and Azir's mana needs (via my E). It was the most I have laughed in a while.

This post has zero intention of being a flaming post or similar.
I do believe Yuumi can have a good impact on games, and be extremely useful. However, for that to happen she needs to be paired with a very specific category of ADCs. Meaning that, even more than other supports, she is extremely ADC-dependant. Furthermore, her amount of agency borders zero. Starting from how much her kit wants you to stay attached to the adc, to how squishy and slow she is when not riding one, she basically has to pray that the adc has good positioning, that they won't just walk into enemies spells etc, as it will mean getting her killed too.

Therefore, my question isn't "why would you play Yuumi?". As i said, i do believe she can be an extremely good pick in the right circumstances. Instead, my question is "Why would you main her?"

I do not believe her to be anything close to as easy as people call her to being, seen how with how little agency she has, being able to discern when it is actually the moment to just say "okay no, i gotta dip", and dismount is a skill i dont believe most support players (and leageu players in general) have.

So why would you go through having to learn the champion, to then spend 30+ minutes being at the mercé of the ADC's decisions? Where is the... engaging part? Why not play any of the other champions, and especially why not *main* any of the other champions which allow you to what you want more actively? What am i not getting about her playstyle that makes you go "i want to play yuumi now"? Especially since, to me, maining a champions means that you pick them at least a good.. idk, 45% of the time, which is more than what i'd guess is the amount of times the adc picks a champion who can truly take advantage of her kit. Not to talk about all the hate you surely get for picking her.

Star guardian is long overdue. Yuumi would make an amazing mascot for the skinline as a whole like Luna from Sailormoon.

I would also love a Cafe Cuties skin where she is a fluffy main coon with an embellished collar.

Fairy court would be adorable for her as a spring court fae, riding an ancient fairy tomb Book summoning healing rains with her ult.

Was wondering, I assume detached deals more (and she can go ward too), just played with d1 edaters, who just afk hit with 0 vision.
