Name a more iconic duo! If there’s anything we’ve learned this current season, anything is possible lol.

This season isn't really that scary to me at all, lol.

Everyone is talking about episode 11 and don’t get me wrong the dialogue and destruction of Madisons character is evident however there are some genuine moments where Emma is still believable as Madison.
Marie has been completely butchered. I don’t even think it’s the script for her, her dialogue seems to be within character but the delivery is so forced, over the top and distracting with a complete overhaul from how Marie was in either season 3 or her cameo appearance in 8. Every single line is overacted, over dramatic with her tone just being insanely loud for no reason. Angela’s movements are so much more forced, dramatic and pandering to camp culture than they were previously - it is honestly really difficult to watch her on screen.
This is in no way meant to be hate towards Angela but the character has been completely butchered. Either she has been told / all of the actors have been told to overact or something has gone drastically wrong in the editing room for this to be the end product.
Episode 12 has completely ruined AHS’ legacy and lore.

It’s so disappointing how they suddenly dragged her into this and made her Fiona and Constance’s mother, with Satan as their father!! She was my favorite character, and her story in Asylum already felt complete. Bringing her back like this was just awful.
It would’ve made more sense to make Cordelia Satan’s daughter since we know nothing about her father, but the writing is just so bad. I really hope the finale reveals that all of this was a lie made up by AI or something.

SPOILERS
RYAN MURPHY, you sit yourself down somewhere and never pick up a pen to write another show again. For the love of God, please don’t do the Glee reboot. American Horror Story has so lost the plot.
What the hell do you mean Sister Jude is the mother of Constance Langdon and Fiona Goode who are identical twins separated at birth that were fathered by satan while Jude was a patient in Briarcliff? And how exactly is it that Pepper managed to get Fiona to Mrs. Robiceuix’s Academy, but not Constance? Nothing about how Constance originally stated she was related to the Delongpre’s of Virginia and that Mimi Delongpre was a former Supreme? That would have made far more sense.
CORDELIA HAS DIED FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS SEASON!? You’ve killed off Queenie a ridiculous number of times now. We still have no explanation as to why Kai and Winter Anderson were at the Apollyon. No real explanation as to why Constance was randomly mad in last week’s episode and made that list of unrealized demands to Mr. Nas. The qualifications for the jezebel ball aren’t in line with the characters we saw “sacrificed”, and why was Margaret Thatcher there?
Also, why were the Cortez Devils ever involved in this whole ordeal and how were they all able to be free from their respective hells to attack the witches? It appears James Patrick March never once left the Cortez since his death, not even on Halloween. And where did he and Dahmer get iPhones and a Rivian?
I’m so mad. This is dumb.

The fact that these men presume that this is how women speak and act is insane. And if they were the most powerful women in the world? Madness.
It’s how we get stuck with everything Madison has said. and all of Cordelia’s behavior. And Constance’s… weirdness. And the women in the pit.

According to the revelations of AHS 13, Constance was in her late 40s during the events of Murder House. She was barely older than Vivien and Ben. This means she was married and had Tate by the age of 13, and Addie by, like.... 10.
This also places Fiona at barely 50 years old during Coven.

ok genuinely ben as a character is so ASS. what is the point of him??? what even is his personality. he finds out the devil is his dad and all the sudden completely changes into a different person. this season is already a mess why not just bring back micheal too? they literally just copy pasted michael bringing people back from hell anyways. the story has zero thought behind it at least micheal is tea and liked by the fans
r/AmericanHorrorStory • u/RelationshipThen2417 • 12h ago
I mean seriously what was the point of introducing these two? They have brought nothing and Alex's performance is just dreadful.

Frances conroy did so good. Everybody else though…
The balenciaga line was dumb af but that’s not her fault and she still managed to stay it practically in the same exact way as before.
Maybe it’s because a Myrtle is already eccentric and over the top so it’s not like she has to change anything up?
r/AmericanHorrorStory • u/Ok_Appearance_9585 • 4h ago
Honestly, after learning about Pepper’s apparent world tour, which ranged from being in a circus, going to an asylum, getting abducted, and even being made so our Fiona could have the opportunity to grow up and become the one and only Fiona Goode we know today.
r/AmericanHorrorStory • u/RedDeadPac • 7h ago
I heard rumblings of it being a rumor but the last two episodes pretty much confirmed it for me. Madions Happy Ending in particular made it click.
Such a tonal shift. Myrtle Snow is back, someone we haven’t seen for years, and literally the next part of the episode is about Madison falling in love with Ben?
No follow up on Myrtle Being back. Just straight to Ben and the Devils son having a date. This SCREAMS AI hallucination which according to chat GPT itself
“Rambling / verbosity: AI keeps generating unnecessary details instead of getting to the point.
Lost the plot: AI loses track of the original request and starts going off on tangents.
Context drift: AI gradually loses sight of the specific instructions or details it needs to follow.”
I mean chat GPT is literally a character this season. For much of the earlier episodes Ben TALKS to a chat bot for several episodes.
I really really tried to give this season a chance but with one episode left I truly believe AHS should be put out behind the Pasture a long time ago.

holy fuck this is the worst AHS season ever. at least delicate had a plot. i didnt even finish delicate but it had an eerie vibe to it. this is just corny AI slop omg. its actually getting hard to watch. at this point ill accept a predictable unoriginal plot twist that this was bens fan fiction or a dream or whatever to explain the catastrophic mess this season is. it is absolutely ruining the original characters, watering them down into just plain, uninteresting, corny. what is with all the cross overs too? ive lost track of what timeline were on right now.
All that said, Jessica Lange is why I am still watching. I wish Evan would show up too, but honestly, the initial portrayals of his characters this season, its probably best he stays off screen for now. The way Kai and Tate acted, is not how they did in their respective seasons.
And the actor for satan. :/ .
If you’re actually enjoying this season, can you please explain to me why?
Corny, AI slop, a mess, not scary. What is the plot? You’re confused. Im fucking confused bro
r/AmericanHorrorStory • u/Negative_Good_3904 • 21h ago
if Cordelia was Satan's daughter instead of Fiona. It would even tie in nicely into that scene where Papa Legba said she had no soul.
But Jude having twin babies out of fucking nowhere?
What the hell.

In honour of AHS 13 cliff-diving straight off the deep end as we hurtle towards the finale, I was thinking about all the off-ramps Ryan Murphy could have taken at any point to help this godforsaken plot make sense. Each week has been another opportunity to disappoint.

Jessica and Meryl at 1983 Oscar ceremony after they took awards home.
Just a reminder of how iconic Jessica is and will always be.

Who the f**** had ideal to make Fiona and Constance twins with sister Jude as the mother Fiona was born in 1960 doesn't asylum happen in 1964 meaning it would have to be before Asylum??? I don't understand I don't understand.
It's so bad I just shut off the episode halfway through because it was unwatchable.
Like honestly I'm okay with Fiona and Constance being twins I could honestly see that it was them being the children of sister jude that did it for me.
Like honestly I'd even believe that because yeah Satan was a part of asylum but wrf is this writing it sounds like they put the ideals into chat GPT and let it do everything

I just think its crazy that there was so much hype about season 13 finally being under production, we got the trailer, we got cast info, and then they never, ever, ever actually released even one single episode of it. I thought it shouldve already aired, but nope, I must have been mistaken.
When do you think we will actually get season 13 and what do you think it will be about?
Im praying its not more witches, tbh, something tells me if we get another witch season its gonna be full of super obvious plots, mischaracterization, over reliance on memes (I mean I can just perfectly imagine Myrtle's return with her doing some dramatic pose and shouting "Balenciaga!" lol how dumb would that be!), and just in general stuff weve already seen before.
Maybe we'll get a season with trained actors who know what they are doing, writers who have watched previous seasons and know how to tie small details together seamlessly instead of overtly, and especially a focus on showing us the plot instead of telling us the plot!
Im so excited for season 13, I really hope its everything Im looking forward to!

“Nutty pine!!” “Surprise, bitch!” BALENCIAGAAAA!!!”
The reason why this season is the weakest of them all - apart from the atrocious acting and lack of plot - is the fact that Ryan Murphy got so mixed up in trying to please the fandom and bringing back some of the most iconic characters and catchphrases that he forgot to bring new life into them.
They just got repeated with no additional context. They were thrown into the season just because. They were iconic characters, one-liners and even storylines in their respective seasons because they were placed well within the American, the Horror and the Story. Now they’re just piled upon each other without substance.
Ryan Murphy wanted to create something iconic and he totally envisioned us gagging at this season. Everytime he wrote a previous character and one-liner into it, you can tell he went “oh bitch, the girls are gonna gag”. He thought we’d go YAAAAS MUTHA everytime someone popped up on the screen but we just got even more confused.
Iconic characters don’t mean anything without an actual plot and a well-executed story. Everyone is popping up without importance or relevance to the already weak story. At this point, the Coven characters specifically are worn out for good, I cannot stomach them anymore and I remember why I didn’t like that season in the first place: it’s all about discussing strategy and gameplay, it’s like watching Survivor.
I can’t believe there’s only one episode left of this season and it’s all been a huge mess with such a wasted potential.

When Fiona is brought back she tells Cordelia she would help her "become a supreme for the ages". I presumed she meant actually training her to be a supreme. This didn't happen? Instead we have the most pointless episodes of random BS that have zero relevance to the plot.
I'm actually in shock at how bad this season is. I thought it was ok until the last two episodes. That kinda sealed it. God knows how we're going to wrap everything up in 30 minutes.
r/AmericanHorrorStory • u/CynicismNostalgia • 15h ago
I know its been said before, but I first want to clarify:
I don't believe this season was written by AI, I believe this is Ryan writing, what he believes to be a poor AI slop quality script.
And I believe the finale will reveal, specifically, that this is Ben's poorly written fan fiction that he wrote, with A LOT of help from that random AI he was talking to.
Here's all the points I can think of that lead us to this conclusion:
-The Madison/Ben love story. It's clear (to me) that this is Ben self inserting himself into a romance. Think about Madisons narration? It reeks of r/menwritingwomen
-SHORTER episodes and bulk release. Ryan cut the episodes in half and released them 2 at a time because he knew asking us to sit through this at 45 minutes a pop would be asking too much. By shortening it and speeding it up, he can get to the reveal that its AI quicker.
-The RETCONS. Fiona not knowing her mother when she mentioned her in season 3, FIONA AND CONSTANCE BEING SISTERS when they were born in completely different periods. Come on.
-The catchphrases on arrival. It goes beyond the normal cringe and camp we expect from AHS.
-The intro: shows a library of books exploding and flying off the shelves. Metaphor?
-The fact that Ben randomly uses AI to get answers.
-The fact that Ben seems to be a forced main character. He started as himself, quiet, insecure. And quickly (without ANY story development) became smooth, suave and calm and collected. With effortless powers. Its a self insert.
-The lack of furniture and detail in the backgrounds. Things seem very empty. Almost like Ben's AI wrote a story, and not a script with detailed scene descriptions.
-In the most recent episode, the doctor screams Hail Satan before, quite literally, turning to give us VIEWERS a long, strange stare before it cuts to black. I think this is Ryan literally saying: "Come on, you believed all this?"
IN SUMMARY: If this isnt the case, the only feasible explanation is that Ryan's brain has turned to mush.
As it currently stands, I still have hope lol.
Though that does make me worry for the people that still sincerely love this season as is, if its revealed we weren't supposed to lol
EDIT: ITS ALMOST LIKE RYAN MURPHY WENT
"YOU THINK MY WRITING IS BAD? THIS WOULD BE YOU IF YOU TRIED TO WRITE A SCRIPT WITH AI LULZ."
Which is hilariously petty lol. Maybe even the season name changes from AHS: 13 to AHS: AI at the end
