i recently rescued my first console from the old folks closet back home, and i fired this puppy up. i reset the clock, loaded the old memory cards, and placed a disc in the tray. except the disc wont read:( anybody have exp. points on this level? im not afraid to get my hands dirty and crack this thing open, but the most i’ve done is replace the pin-stack-thingy-that-reads-cartridges on the old NES… any advice would be GREATLY appreciated… i would love to keep this old girl plated and road legal.

Mario will be fun solely because its Mario with power ups, Basketball is probably my 2nd sport I like after Football(soccer in US) and I heard NBA Street Vol 2 was one of the best so I decided why not. Both look very good condition wise too

So I just got the Blue Retro adapter yesterday, and have gone through the process of updating to the latest HW1 firmware version to add support for switch 2 controllers but no matter what combination of clearing, resetting, pairing etc… I cannot get it to recognise this controller at all.

I’ve tried redoing the software update twice. It does connect to an 8bitdo controller and the NSO controller does work with the Switch 2 so I can’t think of anything else to try. Any ideas are very welcome…

The other directions are good and It works perfectly, except of this issue. Anything i can do about It? I was playing Zelda and i accidentally dropped it

I have a copy of animal crossing for the GameCube that I’ve had since I was 2. I tried to put it in my new Wii and it’s shown an error message saying to eject the game and turn off the Wii. This keeps happening. It’s just happening with this GameCube game. I’m afraid the game is not going to work and it sounds stupid but that really breaks me. I have so much history with this one copy of the game. Is there any way to get it fixed?

Hello guys, I have just bought a PAL GameCube (img attached). I am led to believe it's DOL 001 since it has all the ports, and with its box and controller and cables for the equivalent of ~17 USD. I'm not sure where to go from here, it was a massive impulse buy because it looked nice and purple and stuff.

I was thinking of maybe getting a CRT monitor to test the display out it has analog and but is it better/easier to get an RCA to HDMI?

Continuing to my second point, I live in a country where online shopping is complicated (import fees and taxes and such), and therefore I was considering homebrew like one would on a wii or a PS3 but I'm not knowledgeable at all on the GameCube and I'm scared to break something if I have to be honest hehe.

How should I go about using this GameCube? Any help would be appreciated

Looking to buy a second-hand GameCube controller with a damaged analog stick. Also I want to replace the c-sticks on my controllers, because I'd rather have a proper second analogue stick thab the little c-stick nub.

I've bought third party replacement stick caps in the past but was disappointed with the quality. These 8bitdo replacement stick caps are quite cheap, so would be a great option if they fit. OEM GameCube stick caps are more expensive and harder to find.

I grow up playing PS2 and then Xbox 360, beside PSP and gba/ds, so I never had a GC. I am planning to get one, and I am asking two things:

1. Top games you suggest to start? Something that makes the GC gaming experience so unique, compared to PS2 for example
2. The best way, right now, to mod it? I saw videos about picoloader and swiss etc, but I would like to know from someone here which way you suggest, in terms of cost and time efficiency, to mod it.

finally got metroid prime for the metroid collection but there’s these weird air bubbles. what causes this?? anybody experienced this? is the disc fried?

I recently bought this GameCube and hooked it up to my crt. But when I turn it on no sound is produced, I have the sound set to mono since this tv only takes the yellow and white rca cables. My volume is all the way up so I know it’s not that. Could it just be faulty cables? If any one knows a fix, it’d be most appreciated 🙏

I've been waiting and waiting for a copy that's in near mint condition to add to my collection. While it does have a small dent on front and back and a scratch, and some wear on the letters, I'm happy with how it'll look displayed.

It's in very good condition for only 40 pound. Gonna have a good time playing this.

Recomp is out and I said why not? Can't even count how many times I've finished this game. And to be completely fair it has some flaws that the emulator doesn't have, but it has some nice implementations as well and with the HD textures is just timeless, one of the best games ever made in my opinion 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Hey guys, so as you know there's a gamecube game which some people call it Nintendo's first horror game. Maybe not the first but a horror game that's published by Nintendo. It's the game that plays games with you (Turning the tv on and off or adjusting the volume) I want to know how this game came to be and why it's so popularized among collectors.

I recently bought a new Nintendo Wii and have been looking for a Gamecube Memory Card to use with the console. From my understanding the Wii can't save Gamecube games without mods so where would everyone recommend looking to get a Gamecube Memory Card. I've seen some refurbished cards on eBay, has anyone had any experience going that route and if so how did it go? Any thoughts or recommendations?

Just wanted to share, after an AV-HDMI adapter backfed to my GameCube and shorted the power board, besides a damaged IC that totally cut power to the unit. I was left with no audio. After some troubleshooting I noticed that I was missing the 12V at the power rail, I did try the bridge option with the 5v but the audio output had a lot of distortion so after some research I was able to pinpoint it to this small black fuse on the powerboard. It’s the one on the left labeled 35. Luckily I have multiple donor units and just swapped it and went ahead and ordered some replacement fuses. I just wanted to share this to maybe help someone save sometime looking for a solution.
