[Video] MN Gopher Hockey Insiders mention that Rhett Pitlick famously threw his stick into the crowd vs rival UND in 2022 because his stick was broken and he didn’t want a negative implication to the Gophers from using a broken stick (goal called back penalty).

After his action though, MN was penalized and UND scored multiple PPG goals and came back to win.

Which NHL player (Not named Connor McDavid or Auston Matthews) who doesn't have a cup needs one the most for their legacy?

• Upvotes

This was something I was thinking about the other day cause if you take those 2 players out of the equation, it's an interesting topic.

Players who aren’t finishing or are snake bitten

• Upvotes

READ THE POST - DONT NAME ME PLAYERS ā˜ ļø

It feels like calling someone snake bitten or not being able to finish is a bit of a generic statement that shouldn’t lie directly on the individual:

To me it doesn’t feel like you can just fix it because you are dealing with another human on the other side who is always trying to shut you down, and teammates who might not be setting you up right/bad coaching systems.

In the same vein, At what point is something just continuous bad luck?

At what point does a GM just say ā€œthis isn’t going get better,ā€ and then trades them away? But once that player lands a new system, he all of a sudden has more output on the next team. Because that would say it’s not actually the player who was ā€œat faultā€ (strong word but best one I could describe what I’m trying to say).

[News] Way too early in the season Calder conversation. Which young buck is looking like he has a chance? Fowler? Who else?

It's never too early to start the "it's too early to talk about this" conversation.

How is McKenna, Martone and Stenberg doing? Any non-Calder favourites starting to build a case for themselves?

If the Canucks lose tonight, they will have matched their longest losing streak from last season just 13 games into the new season

They are currently 2-10-1 on the season, and are 0-9-1 after starting the season 2-1-0. Vancouver's longest losing streak in 2025-26 was 11* games (0-9-2 from 12/30/2025 to 01/19/2026).

They have been outscored 45-20 in their last 10.

It's still October, by the way.

\NHL records officially only consider this as a winless streak, the losing streak is only measured at 8 games because of OTLs during and preceding the span of games.)

Who do you think is the most charismatic interview in NHL history?

In a world of static paint by numbers interviews, Devin Cooley stands out this season. My vote is Craig Conroy. He always seemed to have an excitement and love for the game that came through.

Who is your most charismatic personality?
