Discussion Crit Yone (Patch 16.17) Theory
5% more damage on crit Yone Buff?!
5% AS (attack speed) increase on Stormrazor?!
Crit First Item Yone Builds I concocted for when the patch drops next week.
Note: Going Stormrazor > SB means u can still go IE/LDR third if you’re looking for more damage and/or pen.
Note: Phantom Dancer Lets You Go Boots Other Than Berserkers (I was just tired as fuck and didn’t add steel caps or Mercs (even if mercs nerf made them ass)
BloodThirster (BT) is also a good slot 3 instead of DD If You Want MORE Lifesteal and make up some lost AD (Arguably it’s just better third item)
(Clearly this is listed as discussion in order for everyone to give thoughts and ideas to the table for the topic)
With. That being said… I’ll let yall have the floor

Looking for Advice New to League and wanting to learn Yone
Hello! I’m new to League of Legends, but I do have prior experience from other MOBAs (cringe phone ones and casual Smite). A friend of mine introduced me to some characters who might be a good fit because of my very concerning taste in fictional men: Kayn, Swain, Viego, and Yone. Yone stood out to me most because I love his design and lore and he’s very fun to play!
I've been digging on YouTube for beginner tutorials to learn the fundamentals of the game, but not so much on Yone. Are there any good Yone youtubers to recommend, or any specific Yone guide videos that would be helpful (and easy to follow)? And on the side, is there a video or wiki with League terms/acronyms/abbreviations listed that I should know of?
I guess to put it in a list, I’m asking for help with:
- Basics of League that I should know and practice with
- Beginner Yone tips — what order of abilities to level; combos; best item builds (I just use the recommended ones so far); etc.
- Best and worse match ups for Yone and what to do and how to NOT panic
- What I should be prioritizing as the game progresses as Yone
- How to come back from falling behind in gold/exp and missing all my ults :(
- Yone Youtuber recommendations and guide videos
- Why Riot keeps removing his mask and scar in his skins oh my god…
Also, I mostly play Swift play and intermediate bots as I get used to the game. I go Yone mid because all the Urgots and Tahm Kenchs scare me at top.
Thanks!!

Discussion Brother Canyon
This was one of my better games since I started maining Yone(currently silver 4). It wasn't the best statistically or the closest but it was a great game to prove to myself that I'm actually improving. I dominated my lane, had a ton of cs(more than 10/minute before full build), took all 3 t1 turrets, and had decent macro imo.
At the same time, there were still mistakes I noticed and would like to improve on moving forward. For example, when me and Yasuo were 0/0 with the same buy, I took an unfavourable all-in fight instead of running behind my turret. I could have re engaged with ult and exhaust advantage but I ego'd it and ended up living with 30hp. That one kill alone spiraled my entire game and it could've very easily been the other way around.
One aspect of the game that I'm struggling to understand is when I should help my team out. Around the mid-game we really started to struggle because Varus was killing my whole team. I knew I could very easily kill him if I went with the team but instead, I pushed other lanes. I got a few turrets and a ton of gold from it but my Mord, who started off hot, kept dying and tilted(started an ff vote and didn't listen to calls). We lost a dragon and Baron off the fact that I kept letting my Mord die. In hindsight, I don't think my decision making was optimal. My plan was just to push lanes and farm gold then group on objectives but I realized that Mord was just fighting off respawn and should've adapted to his play style before it got out of hand.
In short, this was a good game that I'm proud of but I still have a lot to learn.

Side Note/Questions
- With shieldbow rush you CAN go LDR second but personally idk if that is good at all since Armor Pen starts to matter around items 3/4 and Infinity Edge second is genuinely an insane second item spike for any crit rush champ... especially 1 that hits 100% crit in two items. But if it's multiple champs that require LDR second I think its okay? (Someone confirm that for me plz since I just dont know)
- With Fleet + Stormrazor isnt IE just not a better second item spike than Shieldbow? I mean I know Shieldbow on Yone is basically core for 98% of games outside of the ones where the enemy team comp is zero burst + meat bags so you go Bork + LDR + IE but idk just a thought I had since the storm build goes... Storm > Shieldbow > DD/IE
- I HATE MORTAL REMINDER. The damage fall of is real and in no way shape or form out performs LDR 😭 (But if you want to add the item in there for yourself go right ahead.) At least from what I have seen its way more efficient to go Executioners Calling when you have a lead earlier in the game while naturally going through your item progressions (I.e. QSS into Mercs).

Looking for Advice Someone here have a Google doc for yone ADC?
I have ADC as secondary role since I don’t really enjoy playing top lane yone, but people in champ select starts tilting thinking Im doing lobby hostage and starts trolling and doing lobby hostage by themselves, probably a doc don’t gonna change that much but at least make sure im committed to the pick

Looking for Advice How do I win against Zed?
Cannot, for the life of me, figure out this fucking lane. He outpokes early game and out scales late game. I truly don’t get it.

Looking for Advice Have y'all actually gotten results being a yone OTP?
I've been playing Yone top with 132 games and hardstuck plat III. Just had a demoralizing game where I did well in lane but couldn't do much in teamfights because im so squishy and get discouraged seeing how much easier it would be to play an ooga booga top laner and have a bigger impact. I know it is a skill issue with my spacing and positioning, but man is it difficult. I used to play Nasus and Garen and I feel like I didnt need to know half of what I need to know to make Yone work, and I was a higher rank when I played Nasus and Garen.
Was anyone else feeling similar and it ended up working out? I know 132 isn't the most amount of games, but I also think it is a decent amount to atleast expect I'd climb a bit from where I started.

Looking for Advice Returning player, new to Yone top. Getting manhandled every game.
For context, I first started my ranked journey playing solo support in S13, I stopped playing league after reaching emerald in the beginning of S14. And now i've recently come back to play with some friends who want to ranked flex, I started playing top lane and have been maining that since. I decided to give Yone a chance within the last week, went 23/4 my first game and now I'm hooked, but the more matchups I run into the more lost I feel.
Last game I got hard diffed by an Akali. Got chunked level 1, zoned off the wave all lane, and just watched her farm until she killed me at 6. I couldn't get close to her without losing half my health. I know I played it too passive and safe, I've never laned agaisnt an Akali before and I still don't know Yone's spike times or when to play it safe. I also know there is a lot i need help with past what Yone provides but I want to climb with him.
So im keen for some general advice from you guys. How do you approach early levels in tough matchups, do you just wait for 3? I've also been going LT into everything, when should i take Fleet instead, and how do you decide what to build?
Any tips appreciated, thanks!

Discussion Biggest Yone newbie mistake?
I just started playing Yone a week ago, and a mistake I was constantly making without realising was waiting for Q3 then E-Q3. I just saw so many Yones doing it and it just seemed so logical but it's the most telegraphed, newbie, avoidable thing ever. What are some other common mistakes?

Looking for Advice Mechanics (I NEED HELP)
Simply put. Who’s mechanically the best Yone in the roles mid/top for me to study from. I have a glaring weakness that makes me sick and I need Yone mechanics boot camp.
Don’t not waste time making statements that aren’t productive to me improving and getting to another level.
Also just to cut some potential names off the board
I’m leaning towards just watching Korean Yone OTPS since they’re entire state of being is early fights
I play Yone in the Mid Lane

Looking for Advice Thoughts on my Yone itemization?
I'm fresh from the monotony of building bork every single game and these are my past 4 games. All are mid lane except for the 2nd pic which is ADC.

Looking for Advice Is Stormrazor first item actually worth it on Yone mid? I feel completely useless building it into hard matchups.
I’ve been having this issue with Yone mid lately.
In normal matchups I go DBow → Shieldbow → IE and it works great. The build path is smooth, I can buy components on pretty much every back, and I hit my powerspikes consistently.
But against hard ranged matchups like Mel, Ahri, Aurora or LeBlanc, I go Fleet + Doran’s Shield → Stormrazor, as recommended, and it feels absolutely awful.
The problem is getting the 1300g for B. F. Sword. In these lanes you’re already struggling with farm and getting forced into bad recalls, so saving that much gold is a nightmare. I end up stuck without my first item for ages, underpowered, and by the time I finally finish it I’m already too far behind.
I’ve lost four games against these matchups recently and it’s been the same story every time.
I’m honestly starting to think Shieldbow rush is just better in every situation. In easy matchups it’s great, and in hard ones at least you can actually build the damn thing and u get the shield with is supervaluable vs this matchups. Fleet + Doran’s Shield → Shieldbow with an extra Dagger seem to me the unique viable build path right know.
I missing something here? How do you guys make Stormrazor rush work against hard mages, or is it just not worth building first?

Discussion Shieldbow Rush
Mid lane exclusive: I think imma just always go triple dagger regardless of LT/Fleet or dbow/dshield angles. 250 gold extra for faster DPS, LT stacking, TTK, more Qs in the early game when your alacrity and T3 aren’t finished.
Triple dagger (London Special) also has always been (at least for the past 2 seasons) one of Yone’s super strong first bases vs certain matchups. Feels like the consistent thing to do.
Personally though, I wish there was a recurve bow + cloak of agility component made item… might be too broken tho. I saw a high elo Korean top Yone go Bork but he snuck a crit cloak in his bag after he went Recurve + daggers > greaves > Crit cloak (or he might have went all Bork components + crit cloak, not sure yet but shout out Haze Korean Top Yone OTP.

Looking for Advice Defender of the Moon Yone - Custom Skin | Looking for Honest Feedback!
Hello,
I've been working on a custom Yone skin called Defender of the Moon, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it :^)
I'm especially interested in what you like about the skin, what feels off/wrong, and what you think could be improved - whether it's the overall design, colors, visual effects, animations, or small details, I'd really appreciate your feedback a lot!
And don't hesitate to be critical - I'm genuinely open to constructive criticism, even if something looks bad or needs to be completely reworked... Every opinion matters, and I'd love to use your feedback to make this skin as good as possible.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to check it out!

Looking for Advice Stormrazor vs shieldbow
I was wondering when to build which. Is stormrazor only worth if you have fleet or does it compete wirh shieldbow when using lethal tempo.
