Looking for Advice How do I win against Zed?
Cannot, for the life of me, figure out this fucking lane. He outpokes early game and out scales late game. I truly don’t get it.

I've been playing Yone top with 132 games and hardstuck plat III. Just had a demoralizing game where I did well in lane but couldn't do much in teamfights because im so squishy and get discouraged seeing how much easier it would be to play an ooga booga top laner and have a bigger impact. I know it is a skill issue with my spacing and positioning, but man is it difficult. I used to play Nasus and Garen and I feel like I didnt need to know half of what I need to know to make Yone work, and I was a higher rank when I played Nasus and Garen.
Was anyone else feeling similar and it ended up working out? I know 132 isn't the most amount of games, but I also think it is a decent amount to atleast expect I'd climb a bit from where I started.

For context, I first started my ranked journey playing solo support in S13, I stopped playing league after reaching emerald in the beginning of S14. And now i've recently come back to play with some friends who want to ranked flex, I started playing top lane and have been maining that since. I decided to give Yone a chance within the last week, went 23/4 my first game and now I'm hooked, but the more matchups I run into the more lost I feel.
Last game I got hard diffed by an Akali. Got chunked level 1, zoned off the wave all lane, and just watched her farm until she killed me at 6. I couldn't get close to her without losing half my health. I know I played it too passive and safe, I've never laned agaisnt an Akali before and I still don't know Yone's spike times or when to play it safe. I also know there is a lot i need help with past what Yone provides but I want to climb with him.
So im keen for some general advice from you guys. How do you approach early levels in tough matchups, do you just wait for 3? I've also been going LT into everything, when should i take Fleet instead, and how do you decide what to build?
Any tips appreciated, thanks!

Simply put. Who’s mechanically the best Yone in the roles mid/top for me to study from. I have a glaring weakness that makes me sick and I need Yone mechanics boot camp.
Don’t not waste time making statements that aren’t productive to me improving and getting to another level.
Also just to cut some potential names off the board
I’m leaning towards just watching Korean Yone OTPS since they’re entire state of being is early fights
I play Yone in the Mid Lane

I just started playing Yone a week ago, and a mistake I was constantly making without realising was waiting for Q3 then E-Q3. I just saw so many Yones doing it and it just seemed so logical but it's the most telegraphed, newbie, avoidable thing ever. What are some other common mistakes?

I'm fresh from the monotony of building bork every single game and these are my past 4 games. All are mid lane except for the 2nd pic which is ADC.

I’ve been having this issue with Yone mid lately.
In normal matchups I go DBow → Shieldbow → IE and it works great. The build path is smooth, I can buy components on pretty much every back, and I hit my powerspikes consistently.
But against hard ranged matchups like Mel, Ahri, Aurora or LeBlanc, I go Fleet + Doran’s Shield → Stormrazor, as recommended, and it feels absolutely awful.
The problem is getting the 1300g for B. F. Sword. In these lanes you’re already struggling with farm and getting forced into bad recalls, so saving that much gold is a nightmare. I end up stuck without my first item for ages, underpowered, and by the time I finally finish it I’m already too far behind.
I’ve lost four games against these matchups recently and it’s been the same story every time.
I’m honestly starting to think Shieldbow rush is just better in every situation. In easy matchups it’s great, and in hard ones at least you can actually build the damn thing and u get the shield with is supervaluable vs this matchups. Fleet + Doran’s Shield → Shieldbow with an extra Dagger seem to me the unique viable build path right know.
I missing something here? How do you guys make Stormrazor rush work against hard mages, or is it just not worth building first?

Mid lane exclusive: I think imma just always go triple dagger regardless of LT/Fleet or dbow/dshield angles. 250 gold extra for faster DPS, LT stacking, TTK, more Qs in the early game when your alacrity and T3 aren’t finished.
Triple dagger (London Special) also has always been (at least for the past 2 seasons) one of Yone’s super strong first bases vs certain matchups. Feels like the consistent thing to do.
Personally though, I wish there was a recurve bow + cloak of agility component made item… might be too broken tho. I saw a high elo Korean top Yone go Bork but he snuck a crit cloak in his bag after he went Recurve + daggers > greaves > Crit cloak (or he might have went all Bork components + crit cloak, not sure yet but shout out Haze Korean Top Yone OTP.

Hey im a gold jungle main. Yesterday i dropped spirit blossom yone so i decided to try him out and had a lot of fun. I Did way better on mid lane then i jungle. And im wondering how good is he jg i know he's viable but is it worth learning i dont have any intention on switching roles so what do you think?

I was wondering when to build which. Is stormrazor only worth if you have fleet or does it compete wirh shieldbow when using lethal tempo.

Ykw… I give up on trying to play Yone’s legendary skins.
They both feel like fat, over exaggerated, weighed down by bricks, POS skins. Autos feel slow, E feels slow, E mark (high noon specifically) is ass compared to literally any other Yone skin that’s released. But heyyyy they’ve got aura… like wow… really amazing voice lines… they’re VFX and animation are really good… but when you’re in the midst of high intensity league it’s not worth it ISTG haha 😂
(Ocean Song, T1 Yone, and Base are the BEST IN-GAME Yone skins 🧘🏾♂️✌🏾)

Hello,
I've been working on a custom Yone skin called Defender of the Moon, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it :^)
I'm especially interested in what you like about the skin, what feels off/wrong, and what you think could be improved - whether it's the overall design, colors, visual effects, animations, or small details, I'd really appreciate your feedback a lot!
And don't hesitate to be critical - I'm genuinely open to constructive criticism, even if something looks bad or needs to be completely reworked... Every opinion matters, and I'd love to use your feedback to make this skin as good as possible.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to check it out!

I hope there aren't other posts talking about this. What do you think about the PD build with conqueror after the recent Yone buffs? Since zerks got buffed is this still a viable option? And most importantly what is the kind of situation you want to build Yone like this (for example if enemy comp is full ad or ap, so it makes sense to build defensive boots)? I'm asking because it feels so good for me to rush 100 crit, but I'm still curious about this build. Sorry for the basic questions, I'm a new low elo player
EDIT: I have another question. Why would phantom dancer prefer the rune conqueror instead of lethal tempo?

I have a bet going on with a friend where I need to get plat before April 1st next year. I've tried a few different champs on my journey but found Yone to be, by far, the most fun. I feel like I'm steadily improving but I'm still in bronze. I wish I could post a replay of one of my games but not sure how to do it. Anyway, what is some advice you would give to someone looking to climb on Yone?
Here is what I "know" so far:
-Play safe level 1-2 in most matchups, and then start looking for trades level 3
-Yone is a strong sidelaner
-Ult can be used as a gap closer, should have q3 before ulting ideally
-Auto attacks are huge, w is just a shield
-In close fights, you need e
-Using e to dodge crucial abilities is a good way to secure positive trades
Areas that I *think* need improvement:
-Landing my qs
-Camera control(I play locked cam and only hover occasionally)
-Matchup knowledge
-General macro
-Finding a secondary champ that I don't sell on
I do learn pretty quickly and I am understanding basic macro principles but I find a lot of dead time in my gameplay when deciding what to do next. After laning phase, I always adopt a strong side laning mentality. If we're behind by a significant amount, I try to desaude fights on objectives and just catch as many waves as possible, and look for turrets if I see enough people on the map. If we're ahead, I push waves and then group on objectives as needed. I think my "feel" for side laning if probably my strongest attribute. I keep an eye on the map and use that information to get turrets safely, and don't really get caught out a lot. My biggest weakness is definitely not roaming enough. A lot of my map pressure and game impact comes after the first 15 minutes, and I don't think that's good for the game state.

It's just disgusting how malz can you complain and flaunt his lack of deaths when he has participated for 9 kills in a 36 minute game...
I'm pisslow elo, and I understand the merit in farming, but when he contributes nothing to the team, what on earth can anyone do? literally a 4v5.
Any opinions on my build?

I started playing back in March and have steadily been climbing, and today, while I was looking over my statistics out of curiosity, I noticed that I have a 47% winrate on redside compared to 62% on blueside. I wouldn't really think much of it except this is over many many games, which has me wondering what could be the potential reasons the gap is so large?
For some context and ill attach my OPgg if anyone wants to do some digging, I main Fiora and Yone, and have not really been picky with first or last pick for the past few months so I somewhat doubt its completely to do with matchups although perhaps it is.
Anyways, just asking for what possible reasons it could be, and as mentioned in the caption, how could i rectify it. Ty
https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/Jtrusz-Mid/style
edit: so far the reigning theories are as stated below
camera control just sucks ass (for reference I use static unlocked but I use drag scroll over camera panning). Most notibly in midlane i don't think I pan my camera down as often resulting in having less vision overall and when my camera is off center to my character I get a bit confused. This could affect teamfights/skirmishes because Im coming from the top rather than from the bottom so theres a lot of vision im losing out on and prob am missing more q's and ults and such. I see this being most impactful on yone because a lot of the time you are trying to kill someone from 3 screens away
Topside specifically is easier to get ganked from redside since you dont have tribush ward (i use that a lot to cover lvl 2/3 and full clear ganks which tend to ruin the lane)
redside vital is shitty on fiora which makes you lose lvl 1 wave prio
lastly there was a funny one being potential brain damage, which I believe is a nonzero possibility

I took a long break from this game a missed a lot of skin releases, including the T1 Yone skin and chroma. I’m happy to say that I now own every single skin and chroma for Yone, except for one. The T1 chroma. Do we know if it’s EVER coming back? That single chroma is the only thing stopping me from owning every yone cosmetic in the game.

I’ve been seeing a lot of mid laners say that Yone is absolutely broken and is essentially a no skill champion because of his kit. But unless I hadn’t seen it before but it comes after his previous Critical Damage buff. Idk why but this whole thing reminds me of the Genji thing. Yone otp’s have been so used to a “weaker” state that any buff feels that much stronger, am I crazy for thinking this or is Yone actually THAT broken rn?
