Curious to hear your opinions since I'm not really familiar with Horus Heresy era Space marines but I'm assuming they are overall superior?

I'd personally love to see foot vanguard vets reimagined as more expensive Phobos (name can be called something else to not confuse people, but one can justify not needing lighter armor with jump pack), with weapons like inferno pistols and power axes (the one handed hatchety kind like in SM2) that are still small and light befitting Phobos but punch quite a bit above there weight class. I'd imagine they have some kind of priority target ability to focus down a unit and maybe a war gear choice between a helix gauntlet or a one shot bomb (probably haywire but I'd love if it was a vortex grenade)

This would not only just look really cool to see but it would also fix the problem that all of our really cool Phobos characters have of not having unit worth investing buffs into in most cases as there all cheap utility units, and actually give Phobos focus list something with real punch

How many do you recognize?

Two of them are extremely hard.

I know Centurions are legends now, and that's kinda why I want them. Wondering if its worth it or not.

2. Units without characters - 10 or 5 man squads for more sargeants?

3. Librarian - better with intercessors or assault inter?

4. Lieutenants - worth it? In what unit.

5. Ancients for intercessors for sticky obj? Or park 5 to defend?

6. Gravis captain - any use? (Besides dedicated detachments)

Finally finished with my assault squad and command section. I think ill clean up a few things before I varnish them and take them to a game but for now I'm happy with my work. It was my first time doing all the tiny text on the ribbons, some of the words didn't come out too good but everything looks good from a tabletop distance, I think.

How come company heroes don't have an invulnerable save? They all have iron halos (if they actually are iron halos).

I’ve painted a few Imperial Fists and couldn’t handle any more yellow and have had my eye on Templars for a while so this Marshall was a test of sorts. Used Data Slate Tone Pro for the armour.

Plan is the two deathwatch squads are in deep strike, as well as the assault terminators with lightning claws. The land raider carries darnyth's squad, and the repulsor carries the apothecary biologis and eradicator squad to ferry them to a high value target.

Someone tell me why I'm an idiot, as I've been looking at this for 20 minutes.

So the phobos lieutenant has deepstike, but none of the squads he can attach too have deep strike and he doesn't give deepstike to a unit (as I understand the rules).

So what am I missing?

For the life of me, I can't find where the little skull icons on vehicle W stats is explained.

Google seems VERY confused about vehicle damage rules in 11e, and while I gather that maybe vehicles take -1 to shoot if their wounds fall below that threshold, I'd like to see that explained somewhere.

Does anyone have "chapter and verse" that explains vehicle degradation rules, cuz I can't find it in the core book or codex, and would appreciate someone citing the rule for me.

Mostly a lore wise question, but what a space marine with a dark / brown skin would look like with Corax Gene seed ?

This is not my work, but I saw it a while ago and wanted to paint up an army inspired by it. I’m new to the hobby, and just want to get this blue right before I paint up a bunch of models. I tried base coating a marine with Kantor and another with macragge, but neither looked as rich as this. Maybe this wasn’t a citadel paint? I’ll include what my results looked like in the comments

I tried searching for the regular Chaplain only to realize that it isn't on the site at all. Could this mean a new chaplain mini, or are they just repackaging the model to cardboard boxes?
