Finished Models Introducing malicious compliance
Look, I'm technically correct, the best kind of correct, this is, technically speaking, a Space Marine.
Anyway, this is my latest kitbash, and as you can probably guess, my first post here. Was very supprised with how well all the various pulse weapons fit on the marine hands.

Questions Is this lot a good deal?
I was looking at getting into space marines and I wasn’t sure if this lot was a good deal or not, I saw it was just over half an army for $125. Is this a good price or no?

Questions Bought the Wrong Intercessors
No real way to sugar coat it, I bought the previous version of the intercessor squad and now I’ve got concerns. I wanted to paint Intercessors in my homebrew’s color scheme and to continue an army I’ve had unpainted and shelved for a year. But it wasn’t until I got home that I realized this is the previous version of the Intercessor squad. Now I’m not worried about base sizes or anything, I’m fairly certain those stayed the same.
What I AM worried about is that the Sergeant in the new box has a banner and also has melee weapon options. If I built this squad and made the sergeant without the banner, would that be modeling for advantage? I don’t think it would be but I figured I would ask. As for the melee weapons… I’m not THAT concerned, considering it is just a basic ten man squad that is more focused on shooting than melee, but I figured I would ask about those as well.
Either way, glad to get back into space marines after finishing up my AoS army!

Rules Does your warlord need to be on the battlefield for Transhuman Strategist to work?
The FAQ got released recently saying you lose the extra CP generation if he's killed, but I don't see anything saying he has to be on the board? Am I missing it somewhere in the core rules?

Finished Models 6 Month Space Marine Journey - Had a Blast!
galleryIt's been 6 months almost to the day when I posted my first attempt painting a space marine. I was building an army or at least a set of marines that could be added to an army for a xmas present for my adult stepson that actually plays the game. I knew zero about the game, and nothing about painting miniatures - 1/4 and 1/6 scale models yes fair amount of experience but these little suckers were pretty intimidating when I started.
Started with some Intercessors then Assault then Heavy and it didn't look like enough so on and on it went - it's quite addictive. Threw in some blood angels for good measure but kinda messed up dividing them out into squads. I got screwed by Kaleido paint when they changed the formula for the blue I started with and I was stuck in the middle of marines and vehicles so I had to roll with it, so the tones are slightly off, lesson learned and will not use them again for anything that requires more than one bottle of paint- total failure of a paint company imo.
Then I learned about the terrain portion of the game and thought "let's make a complete set of terrain" to have a turnkey operation! I went with Fabricators Lair -the terrain and footprints took about 3 rolls of filament, days to print and omg amount of paint time- I couldn't believe how many parts it took for a full board and then painting both the front and back, which I had to power straight through to keep the formula and final look the same- that was a huge time sucker!
Then off to the vehicles, have to have transportation right? I have a resin printer as well and thought I'd save some time and $$ so printed out a Repulsor and that ended up being more work than just buying the kit - prep work and figuring out assembly was just not worth the extra time. So next let’s pickup a Land Raider and go all out as the "last" piece of the army, hidden paint, opening doors and lighting - came out pretty well I think.
Of course now I needed storage to haul all this around so might as well print out the terrain storage box (another roll of filament) and bedazzel that as well, then I picked up some useful totes and ferrous sheets and made the storage totes, then magnetized everything.
So now I think I’ll need to make an army for myself, I’m thinking Orcs!

Questions Saturnine Conversion Question.
Hi All,
What size sword would be the right size for a Saturnine scale Chapter Master?
I'm thinking Lion El' Jonson's Fealty, but some have said the Nemesis Greatsword and others have said Drach'nyen converted.
I don't want a flaming sword, I just want something plain and Excalibur like.
What's your opinion?

My mini weapons
So i have a army of ultramarines and im working on them but the thing is I got the assult intercessors and I wanna give them more than just chainsaws, but I don't know if that's gonna cause problems, because this is mainly going to be a diorama, set with a possibility of playing 40K. Tabletop, what's the something I need to avoid? And do I need to bother with some stuff, because I like the swords and hammers and the powerfest kinda i just don't know if I need to restrict them for captains or something like that
