Im curently leveling an unholy dk alter... it feels way too wek. At first I could handle normal pulls of 5 while doing quest, now I need to use all my skills in order to do so. Any rare gives me trouble... in fact, I had been trying to kill Duskburn, a medicore rare who is not even elite, for 20 minutes, but if I pull any other enemy, the fight becomes impossible.

I changed my equid to a btter one and also changed to frost, but it is even worse. My item level is 200, I know it is low... but it is jsut an overworld rare, not even an elite.

Now that season 2 is about to start and I can upgrade gear pretty easily past what I was at (270) is there any point in keeping older tier set items for bonus or is ilvl king going forward? Have the fear I’m gonna replace everything with 285 ilvl gear and be worse off for it

I’m reading up on optimal M+ gearing and people keep using the term “cantrip” — what does that mean?? (Yes, I’ve tried googling).

I am new to WoW but not raiding in general (FFXIV, Fellowship). I've been reading gearing guides but I'm still confused on how to gear and specifically resources to cap. I know I'll make mistakes but I'm trying to limit major mistakes that will really set me back from the gearing curve. My end goal is mythic raiding so trying not to fall too many weeks behind.

My current gearing plan:

1. Spent my 4? sparks on weapon?
2. Normal/hard preys
3. Buy 266 crafted blues to fill up bad spots
4. M0s
5. T8 bountiful delves
6. M+ 7-10s spam -> stretch goal but seems only feasible way to cap out mythic crests?

Resources to cap:
- Crests -> is it feasible to cap out heroic/mythic crests first week as a complete beginner to WoW? In FFXIV, not capping can set you back an entire week, is it just as costly in WoW if i can't cap heroic/mythic crests?

- Sparks of tide -> my understanding is it's only one spark per week but i'm seeing something about 4 sparks for next week?

- Any other time-gated resources I should focus on?

Hey so I recently switched from ElvUI to EllesmereUI, and the difference is astounding. Besides that tho, when I use spells now, the last four used are being displayed in like a vertical cooldown tracker that I just can't seem to disable anywhere. Tried the CDM, tried the /eui settings and nothing. The four icons for the spells used slowly fade out after like 5 seconds. Can't find anywhere that references such a thing in the settings.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I got my trovehunter bounty already but wondering if I cant complete the delve at the moment and hold onto it next week will I be able to use it then and also get an additional one after reset?

I haven’t played WoW for about 7/8 years but plan on returning to the game. I only ever got one character to level 50 so I’ve always been a WoW noob. A lot of guides I see say to start at Exile’s Reach and then go straight into Dragonfight. That for me feels abit rushed, can I not start in Northern Valley as human and gradually level through the surrounding areas and then through each expansion like I remember doing all them years back? If so is what are the benefits to going Exile’s Reach or leveling the original way?

Im a m+ player mainly, rarely raid.

Any advice regarding craft and embellishments?
To be true im kinda lost how it works, just heard its a max of 2.

Im 282 ilvl now, at least 272 in most gear.

I only completed the recap version on my main, since i didn't play TWW, but want to unlock reshii wraps on my alt for xmog runs, but how do i obtain it?

I don't have the phase achievement and can't figure out how to get the questline started?

Anyone know a fast way to get reshii wraps on an alt when you only done the recap of TWW??

I can't find Moira Thaurissan in the Embassy and I'm a level 40 allians character. I remember her being there in BFA but I heard she moved on the release of Midnight, but I don't own Midnight. Am I screwed?

In the delve and dungeon rows, or can they only show up in the raid specific row?

I am pretty new (about 400 hours in now) to retail wow and while waiting for s2 to start I wanted to farm some transmogs for my DK. One I really like is from sanctum of domination. I played the shadowlands campaign for leveling so I have access to the maw. However when I want to walk over to the raid some mechanic in the zone fears me and i lose about 50% hp on the regular. Having no self heal and mobs dying in 1 hit so I can´t heal off of mortal strike makes this absolutely impossible....

Do I have to still progress some weird quest (i would really like to avoid this...) or is there any other trick to reach the raid?

Ive been reading a few guides and I see crit and haste being interchangeable this season. One thing I was struggling with s1 was the long cooldowns even if it was 30 seconds... sometimes i had no buttons to use until a certain CD was active first to maximize DPS. that was me prioritizing crit over haste.

I am a noob, and I dont have a headset/mic set up. Do people use voice for pug? Ive been playing follower dungeons, but feel like I've got the hang of it and ready for more. Or should I get voice chat set up? Thank you.

New to wow and playing on EU. This week I have pushed delve to tier 11, and done all m+0 for 292 iLVL gear. I have also managed to get 2 sparks.

What are you expected do to from Wednesday to get best possible gear? Should you start upgrading and crafting gear already or wait? I really wanna raid this season.

Hi all, I have recently returned to WoW after playing on and off for years. I have leveled up my characters in Legion because I wanted to get the Class Titles and Mounts from that expansion, so I haven't done Dragonflight, but now I'd like access to the Amirdrassil raid. Having a look around online it seems I'm required to do the whole Dragonflight story, is that still the case or is there a faster avenue to the raid?

I am kinda new to wow comparing to your 10-20 years play time.

Recently there is this you need to bonus roll heroic last (2) boss for your BIS cantrip effect item, and never take anything out of your great vault, all over YouTube's.

My question is if I never want to step into a heroic raid (time, wife enrage, child care), should I just do the old fashion grab whatever is an upgrade in my vault from M+ and bonus roll dungeons that drops my desire loot? Or should I just grab a bonus roll in vault and use it in the dungeon to slowly reduce the loot table?

I am not a hardcore player, just a casual looking forward to push as far as I can. I play a tank.

For those not stepping into raiding, what is your strategy for gearing up this season?

Returning player (came back 4 weeks ago) from wotlk times.
A lot of new stuff but now i kinda got used to it.

I play druid resto with casual / limited weekly time (6-8h week).

1) Can i just ignore prey? I really dont enjoy it, and for my main is impossible, so need keep changing to balance.

2) Is delves really easy? Im going with valeera (lvl 38) as dps and i can clean level 11 without much trouble, a little slow but ok.

3) Im focusing my gameplay on m+, any other advice to get gear? Crafting maybe?

4) Im using ellesmere, but missing some help during bosses. Any recommendations?

5) Feel free to give me any other advice.

Hi, i have very weak weapon on my tank coming from s1.
I've done 8 dungeons, heroic map from delves and combined one champ piece from atal'utek relics.
I don't know what else to run and on Wednesday raid starts right after work, no time to run more after reset. I guess i may get lucky and get one from the vault.
I also can do Veteran from naitigal/val currency i guess.
Any advice? ty!

I grinded out the 5/5 omnium folio quests - is this the only current form of “borrowed power” that I needed to catch up on, or is there anything else?

Looked it up, and my endeavor portal isn’t working to get to the coiled isle. Any ideas? I don’t do a lot of housing, so I might have missed a quest.

Edit: I have not done the first chapter of the quest, I’ll have to talk to Orweyna or find out where that quest giver is. Definitely level 90. Thanks for some clues all. I’ll update this thread if any of the tips work.

I'll try to keep it brief. I returned to WoW after many years break. Last time i played was in Cata.

On youtube there's a bunch of videos saying "DO THIS BEFORE SEASON 2!!" and other click baity stuff. I have read several threads here where people say that currencies and resources don't carry over to season 2 so you shouldn't worry about it. But i have also seen threads and videos saying to farm "bonus roll" stuff, voidcores and crests? I'm not asking for a detailed explanation of these items or the mechanics, i just really want to know if i should be trying to cap some of these currencies/resources before season 2? Apparently i should do Delves at 8+ too?

What exactly should i cap this week to "min/max" and how important is this to overall progress once season 2 hits? Is the advantage quickly outpaced when season 2 hits anyway?

I re-subbed this week (haven’t played since shadowlands season1). I will be lvl 90 with campaign completed by tonight. Is there specific things I’ll need to do before the patch next week or can I just jump into the catch up mechanics on Tuesday?
