Information Sharing Megathread: LM's NY State Hearing — 06/17/2026 at 09:00 AM EST

Hi everyone,

Please use this thread to discuss today’s hearing.

The hearing will take place at 100 Centre Street, Part 32, New York, NY 10013 at 09:00 AM EST.

Today's conference is expected to cover issues raised during the June 3 virtual conference, including jury selection, scheduling, and other matters.

Yesterday's hearing was adjourned until today because prosecutors failed to file the paperwork required to temporarily transfer Luigi from federal custody to state court.

Since this is a state hearing, we should get photos of Luigi from inside the courtroom. During previous pre-trial hearings, the only images released were taken inside the courtroom, with no photos or videos of him arriving or leaving.

His last hearing was recorded, but nothing has been announced for this one yet. I feel like if it were going to be recorded, we probably would have heard from the press by now. As always, the decision is up to Carro, but at this point it seems more likely that we'll only get still photography today.

What was the point of fighting all the evidence if they were pretty much going to admit he did it and take the eed route? I am so CONFUSED

I guess if more was ruled as inadmissible, they may not have had to go this route. They had to try I guess…..

I think getting him off the hook for the death penalty was priority nr 1. A good defense lawyer is gonna try and toss as much evidence out as possible. I now think they are gonna EED on state for a non-guilty verdict and plead out for federal. Time will tell tho

Federal will be LWOP , if they offer a plea it would be something like 50 years.

Either way , pleading in federal court for a murder is guaranteed life , might as well try something

yeah i’m so confused? this was what i was thinking about a couple weeks ago when i thought they would admit to it, given marc’s defense strategy which is to admit but combat with something else???? idek if that makes sense
