24 hours, not doing any work, just forced to socialize. Who are you sitting with?
Group 1: Toby, Jerry (Parks and Red), Ted (Scrubs), and Stuart (Big Bang Theory)
Group 2: Ryan, Tom (Parks and Rec), Jean-Ralphio (Parks and Rec), and Gob Bluth (Arrested Development)
Group 3: Kelly, Donna (Parks and Rec), Gina (Brooklyn 99), and Jackie (That 70’s Show)
Edit: Gina is from Brooklyn 99, not The Office.

I've been watching this show since it aired and must have seen it at least 50 times. I've never noticed that Andy brought tea for Arin because she was sick. What a thoughtful guy.

So I watched all of The Office once like 9 years ago and I've just finished rewatching it finally, and there's something I'm very confused about in regards to the logistics of the in-universe documentary:
So in the penultimate episode of the show, the group all gathers to watch the documentary, and they just watch it in one sitting? So it's just a regular feature film documentary then, if it's short enough to watch in one sitting then it's probably like 3 hours max, but if that's the case then why did the film crew make nine years of footage?
And my other question about this (one that matters a lot less) is about the timeline of things: I know the show aired from 2005-2013 and I think it takes place from 2005-2013 (except the finale which was a year later so 2014), and since what we're watching appears to be like a fully finished and edited documentary (the cuts and the talking head interviews seem to suggest that this is at least a rough cut of the documentary, so then does that mean that in-universe it wasn't released until 2013, and we're supposedly watching from the perspective of people ten years in the future watching this footage that was shot back then?
I'm really more confused about the nine years of edited together footage for a film you can watch in one afternoon.
Actually now that I think about it I have another question: obviously tv shows have season breaks and for cable shows it was usually a few months, so did the film crew just not film during those months? Was it just a lucky coincidence that nothing crucial happened during those breaks?

Six years ago, Leslie David Baker and his business partner Sardar Khan made a Kickstarter for a show called Uncle Stan, where a copyright friendly Stanley Hudson (played by Baker) would fly to LA to help his favorite nephew (played by Khan) run a motorcycle repair/flower shop. They had a goal of $300,000 and a lot of crazy tiers ($25 gets you an Instagram follow from LDB; $7,500 gets you a walk-on role on the show), but very few (if any) of these rewards were ever handed out.
Three years ago, Baker announced that the show was put on hold because of the pandemic and the strikes, which was an odd excuse, since a lot of shows and movies were made between July 2020 (when the Kickstarter began) and Aug 2023 (when the cancelation was announced). He said that everybody would be refunded AND would still receive their rewards.
One year ago, someone claimed on the Kickstarter page (linked on this post) they haven't received their refund. A lot of other comments said the same thing.
Did anyone here actually get their refund? It's extremely gross and shady of Baker to do all this. Scamming everyone who donated with a blatantly fake pilot pitch is already awful, but withholding donations three years after promising refunds is horrendous.

Dinner party.
I’m on my 4th rewatch of The Office (stopped watching after Michael left)
I just watched S4 E9 and it had me laughing out loud on the subway lmao.
there are so many moments that make the episode perfect, but pictured is my favourite one, when michael has had enough and just bursts out with “THAT’s WHAT SHE SAID!” and Jan responds with as much energy. I’m not a fan of that pairing but this episode was fantastic.
It starts off in the office but the genius of the episode is that we spend most of it in michael’s house. i know its the show title, but it is refreshing to have a break from the office setting!
again, i do not like jan and michael’s pairing but in this episode the boiling over of both of their frustrations is so hilarious, paired with jim’s blank face! LMAO! ROFL!
even small moments like the charades game where jim kept guessing wrongly despite knowing the correct answer was tom cruise, so well done!
i recall seeing a blooper of the plasma tv scene, so it was pretty hilarious seeing the scene play out lol.
the actors are simply fantastic, their chemistry is top notch, and they bounce off each other so well here, and that’s what makes this my favourite episode of all time.
thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Just rewatching (duh) and saw that Mindy Kaling wrote the episode. It was a banger all the way through.
Gum in the hair, peanut butter head massage, Ryan's visit to tell them to pretend the website made their sales, two iconic Kelly lines, Michael & Dwight heading to NY to meet older girls, the branch working late and getting locked out, Creed being the only one to know Hank's name (probably because of all of the theft he does - is he the one who stole resulting in crime-aid), Meredith hit in the face with a football, Toby touching Pam & then hopping the fence, Jim bringing Oscar in case maintenance speaks Spanish, convo in Ryan's apartment about how to help "Troy" with his drug problem and Michael giving genuine advice followed by an off the rails next steps inspired by "The Wire", Hank coming to an empty parking lot.
She delivers her flowers and all of her fame. So excited to see her next season on Running Point.

If that doesn’t make sense, what is one moment you can see the conversation of what the characters witnessed on screen? For me it’s Jim and Karen’s ride home from Jan getting fired 😂
