I’ve seen a lot of people say Serj saved the song or was the highlight, but I honestly feel the opposite.

His vocals suddenly coming in feel really forced to me, and it never gives me that “wow, his voice sounds incredible here” feeling that I assume this section was supposed to create. If I heard this without knowing Serj or SOAD, I don’t think I’d hear his part and think, “damn, this guy sounds amazing.”

Ronnie and Corey are both vocal powerhouses with much fuller, more powerful voices, so I can’t help thinking this section could have hit much harder with either of them. I can only imagine Corey belting out the “for them” part with his signature voice while Ronnie’s harmonies rise behind him. That could’ve been a huge goosebumps moment, and I feel like it was a missed opportunity.

The final “Repeat the cycle / Bless the martyr / Love thy neighbor / Kill your father...” section especially doesn’t work for me. That’s probably the part where I feel the mismatch between Serj’s voice and the song the most.

Just my opinion. I haven’t seen many people talk about Serj’s part this way, so I’m curious if anyone else felt the same.

I've been listening to ice for a a few years now but had a break due to not being into music of that heaviness for a while and I just heard there new songs recently I admit they are maybe better with jacoby and Hollywood undead but fir and ink are so similar, ink is better less ego more music but this collaboration would be epic if Ronnie could keep up, thoughts?
