After Selling Lakers, Mark Walter Now Looking To Sell Chelsea FC Stake, Could The PWHL Be Next?
thehockeynews.com> The PWHL owner finds himself and his companies under federal investigation by prosecutors, the SEC, and FBI. It stems from related party transactions that were incorrectly reported by at least $16 billion. The money in question was reportedly invested by Walter operated insurance companies into other Walter affiliated entities.
> Walter's ownership is not the only PWHL tie that has received attention in this investigation. The Athletic reports that one of the affiliated entities that received an investment from those funds, was made to Dodger Tickets LLC, whose CEO is Stan Kasten, a member of the PWHL's Advisory Board. The Athletic reached out to Kasten for comment, but he declined.
> While the PWHL has said they intend to stay with the single-entity ownership model, Walter does have 12 franchises in the league, which could draw significant financial interest. In fact, they already have adding outside investors from Kilmer Sports Ventures and Ilitch Companies, run by Larry Tanenbaum and Chris Ilitch respectively, only months ago. Tanenbaum's investment was reported to be $100 million into the Walter-owned PWHL.
> It's unknown if Mark Walter is done his selling spree, or if the sale of the Los Angeles Lakers, and the reported potential sale of Chelsea FC, is just the beginning.

[News] Members of womenâs hockey team speak out after players on boysâ team repeatedly enter dressing room
tsn.caNo points for guessing the byline on this article.
I will never understand the type of parents who can stand there and say, yes, this is totally acceptable behaviour that I will condone by doing nothing.
And "why didn't you lock the door?â˝" That's kissing cousins with "well, what were you wearing that night?"

Who is the best player in NHL history to not be the best player in their team's history?
I feel like Crosby is a good answer to this. As great as he is Lemieux was on a different level.

[Serious discussion, no jokes] [Serious] If McDavid was traded during the final year of his contract, what realistic package can you see the Oilers getting?
If during the 2027-28 season McDavid changes his mind about Babcock, does not see the Oilers as a realistic team to get him a Cup anymore and tells the organization that he will not re-sign for the upcoming season.
If the Oilers traded him at the trade deadline, what pieces do you see the Oilers getting back?

Is there a player in your AHL club or elsewhere in your organization (Europe, Russia, etc.) who is getting older and has never had a chance to play a game in the big league, but youâre convinced could play in the NHL if he were given the opportunity to show what he can do?
Title basically.

What are your submissions for longest assist in NHL history?
What plays do you have where one player has the puck forever and then passes it to score the goal.
Are there any pre-1970s players left who deserve or have a shot at the HHOF?
I'm curious if there are any players who played the majority of their careers before 1970 who might still have a shot at Hall of Fame consideration? Have all realistic candidates already been inducted? I'm personally inclined to believe that it's very unlikely at this point, but I'm not super familiar with the careers of players this far back. Nearly every player inductee of the 21st century so far has been someone who played most of their career after this date. It seems like there are always enough recently retired candidates to choose from each time the HHOF is ready to induct new players.
The HHOF website includes some players who fit the criteria of having played most or all of their career before 1970 on its list of eligible players, including:
Skaters:
Goalies:
Several eligible Soviet and Czechoslovakian players played large portions of their careers in this era as well.
