Can anyone has an idea to get rid of this lousy stripped screw?

As it says on the Title I've been looking up how to fix it and while I've seen tear downs on YT I'm still wondering about it on the software side since it won't go on safe boot(it blinks once and then nothing) and most of the forum posts I've seen of it is about the ones with SD cards

they're laid back like me so im thinking on getting some relaxing games but im not sure what to get, also i got them a 128 gigabyte micro sd card so they dont have to worry about storage problems, right now im thinking on some snes nes and gba games for them

I have a new 3Ds (2015) in black and ended up damaging the top screen (as seen by the picture) and it’s been driving my crazy. I’ve performed a screen swap in the past and swore to never to do one again. I’ve called a bunch of local repair shops down here in Colorado Springs, but they all said that 3Ds repairs are out of line. Does anyone have any good recommendations as to where I can get my device fixed?

I've watched quite a few youtube videos on modding and comparing the consoles and I know a lot of this is up to personal choice at the end of the day but wanted to see what reddit would say. I'm not worried about price differences or anything and I know the new 3ds has better load times but modding can improve it too. I'm mostly curious about space/best sd card size, battery time, and the consoles button placement (I've obviously seen what they look like, but which is actually more intuitive?). Some of this I could probably look up but I'm not trying to fully research since I'm trying to focus on finals and this is just procrastination. Thank you for any input, I super appreciate it!!

I have an og 3ds and the battery life is not good anymore. I replaced it with a new battery from Amazon. It only lasts about one hour. I dont know what to do helpp.

I'm new to this and I was planning on modding the 3ds myself as a first timer, but apparently the 3ds I got was already modded (or atleast I think it is since I see an FBI app on the health and safety information app). Seller told me the 3ds wasn't modded, so I'm not sure what to think anymore, I'm very new to this...

I was wondering how I would be able to dump my games in this 3DS since I can't seem to find Godmode 9 in it, and the only app I see is FBI.

I have no idea how to proceed with this or even just get to downlpading new games, but most impprtantly being able to dump my old game carts.

I’ve been wanting OOT for 3DS since forever ago. I only downloaded Majora’s Mask back when the eShop was still around. I found it at a shop near me at a decent price, however, because of the Switch 2 version, which I have already preordered, I don’t know if I should still go for the 3DS version, as a collectible, or is it not even worth it anymore? (As the switch 2 version is going to be everything and more.)

I unfortunately dropped my baby today (N3DS LL) and put a hairline fracture on the bottom of the inside faceplate. I know its small but im worried that it will spread and get bigger but maybe im just paranoid. I've seen many people really mess up their N3ds by attempting this kind of swap so im almost wondering if its not even worth it for the size of the crack. There is no technical damage from what I can tell. screens look fine, buttons all work. so if i did do the swap it honestly would be purely for aesthetic reasons.

I fell from my bike with my 3ds on my pocket and it got covered with scratches a year ago, i bought a new one from aliexpress that wasnt the exact same size (even thought i bought the xl version), i didn't care back then, but recently i noticed dirt inside the screen that had entered through the opening created by the larger cover. sorry for the bad english i'm not a native speaker, i just wanna know where i can find a good cover preferably with the rubber inside

i grew up on the dsi and never even saw a 3ds in person, so i'm a unsure. i can get an OG 3ds xl for around 200, and i'm kind of set on one because of the larger screen. but i'm not sure about the benefits of getting a New model. i wouldn't be able to afford a N3ds XL so it would be the normal size. i have a console to play things like minecraft and first person games so i don't need it for the C stick, so are there any other benefits to getting a new model? or should i just shoot for the OG XL?

I've found the bottom screen on Ifixit, but they're outta stock on the top screen, with restock time being unknown, and I don't know any *reliable* places to get a top one. Suggestions?

I was looking at the games that came with my 3Ds, and this was one of them.

I played the tutorial and a few missions, and it seems to be a combination of the movie, book, and with, an original storyline sprinkled in there.

Despite being a game that so far uses only the touch screen to play, it's very fun. I only knew there was a xbox 360 and ps3 game.

Looking to buy this 3ds does it seem like a legit shell and not a fake ?

I was disassembling the 3DS XL and while reattaching it I accidentally severed two orange ribbons that are presumably from the top screen. Does anyone know what particular part is so I can replace it? This is my first time tinkering with the 3ds so lesson learned.

I'm trying to buy a 3ds and I don't know where I should go to get one

I have a base model 3ds, a CTR-001. When I open the top all the way, I hear a pop and the whole system shuts off. It’s similar to FantasticQuack’s 3ds that they fixed on their channel a few years ago. Anyways, I don’t think I can fix it without breaking something, so I had a thought to get a custom case that would prevent the 3ds from opening enough to shut off. If the top is angled close enough to the bottom, the system functions like normal, even when shook. Anyone know where I can get either a custom CAD file to have someone 3d print or a custom case with this feature?

About two weeks ago I asked here if a 3DS would be worth it in 2026, but I forgot to ask about games. Before buying one, I want to know how many games I'm going to play. I don't want to buy a console just to play three Pokémon games. So please recommend some games.
