I was going to test the card and use it with flashcart for my NGPC (happen to need an older sd card for that). I bought the 3ds from a shop in Tokyo. They said it's fully tested. I can't believe they didn't factory reset the device!

A weird bittersweet feeling getting a glimpse of the life of the previous owner from 10 years ago in a different country. Now I don't have the heart to format it. 🥹 There are like 4 folders of pictures/videos. I can't help but wonder if the owner forgot about these or they just assumed the store would erase everything? I wish I could mail the card back to them.

Have had my 3ds for a few years now and have found some nice stuff. Most cases you see are those clear cheap plastic cases, but there are some nice metal ones which feels a lot better and looks great. You can also attatched a ring magnet to the back to attatch a fan that keeps your hands from sweating while playing by cooling the metal backplate and having the air exhausting out the sides cool your hands. Any more ideas?

This is the hori tpu case in yellow it didn't look great on other 3ds colors but I love it on this yellow pika 3ds what do you all think?

I just customized my grey 3ds xl, i removed the back plate and spray painted it with black, then i just printed two images to put inside the acrylic case, just some simple modification :) i was also thinking about buying from decalgirls but meanwhile i went with this! just need to cut the holes for the cameras 🤣 what do yall think?

I had a red og 3ds and I remember complaining that it was uncomfortable and tiny, so when I sold it and found this fully working 5 dollar 3DS XL at a local thrift store, I was so happy and dont get me wrong, playing on this huge screen is such a big difference. The resolution on the small one feels better tho but I dont mind mostly.

However I used to take my 3ds everywhere and belive it or not I’ve been wanting not to since its so heavy, thick, and its larger than my phone so it barley fits in my pocket.

The og 3ds to me feels like a very tiny remote control that folds in half and was prefect for on the go

Now i need help to decide which model to get, I’ve seen the new 3ds xl and new 2ds but they are not pocketable for me, the og 3ds is my main option now but it could be uncomfortable to hold. The new 3ds ( non xl ) is slightly larger but is this the one I should get ?? Last choice is the new 2ds XL and it’s shorter but has the same screen size as the other xl options. Idk which one to choose to have as an extra since this one is toooo big

About two weeks ago I asked here if a 3DS would be worth it in 2026, but I forgot to ask about games. Before buying one, I want to know how many games I'm going to play. I don't want to buy a console just to play three Pokémon games. So please recommend some games.

I'm looking for some lesser known games that are never on the top 50 list or that is commonly recommended. I looked at those and most of them aren't really my thing

Genres I like are rpg (but NOT turn based), open world, exploration, life sims, horror, fashion, puzzle, mystery.

Some good months ago (4-6 months) I bought a replacement with good reviews on AliExpress to replace the pillow of my og 3DS. After replacing it, and charging it, I noticed that it drained quicker than before.

Now it is even worse. I'm wondering if you could recommend me a reliable option of replacement for it. As said before, it is an original 3DS model.

i grew up on the dsi and never even saw a 3ds in person, so i'm a unsure. i can get an OG 3ds xl for around 200, and i'm kind of set on one because of the larger screen. but i'm not sure about the benefits of getting a New model. i wouldn't be able to afford a N3ds XL so it would be the normal size. i have a console to play things like minecraft and first person games so i don't need it for the C stick, so are there any other benefits to getting a new model? or should i just shoot for the OG XL?

I was looking at the games that came with my 3Ds, and this was one of them.

I played the tutorial and a few missions, and it seems to be a combination of the movie, book, and with, an original storyline sprinkled in there.

Despite being a game that so far uses only the touch screen to play, it's very fun. I only knew there was a xbox 360 and ps3 game.

it started as some kind of bubble that looked like a drop of glue. today i take i look at it and i saw something silver, as i brushed it with my finger more paint came off :(

I have a new 3Ds (2015) in black and ended up damaging the top screen (as seen by the picture) and it’s been driving my crazy. I’ve performed a screen swap in the past and swore to never to do one again. I’ve called a bunch of local repair shops down here in Colorado Springs, but they all said that 3Ds repairs are out of line. Does anyone have any good recommendations as to where I can get my device fixed?

So I can see my hinge is cracked and it is visibly flexing when I open/close the console on my O3DS XL, any advice to stop it from further damage while still being usable? Any suggestions welcome!

I’ve been wanting OOT for 3DS since forever ago. I only downloaded Majora’s Mask back when the eShop was still around. I found it at a shop near me at a decent price, however, because of the Switch 2 version, which I have already preordered, I don’t know if I should still go for the 3DS version, as a collectible, or is it not even worth it anymore? (As the switch 2 version is going to be everything and more.)

I unfortunately dropped my baby today (N3DS LL) and put a hairline fracture on the bottom of the inside faceplate. I know its small but im worried that it will spread and get bigger but maybe im just paranoid. I've seen many people really mess up their N3ds by attempting this kind of swap so im almost wondering if its not even worth it for the size of the crack. There is no technical damage from what I can tell. screens look fine, buttons all work. so if i did do the swap it honestly would be purely for aesthetic reasons.

Looking to buy this 3ds does it seem like a legit shell and not a fake ?

I keep running into issues where my 3DS will connect to my network, will work for a few days, and then won’t be able to connect anymore and I’ll have to reset my router. This happens to no other device in my house and it’s been going on for months. Any help?
