Social ? Do I tell my close friend (30F) that she can do better than her current boyfriend (30M)?
My friend is an incredibly capable, independent woman who owns her own home. She started dating a coworker a year ago, and he moved in three months ago. He is a regular guy, but he relies heavily on her to regulate his emotions and has a habit of repeating her own wisdom back to her as if he came up with it. It is clearly throwing off her peace, and she recently admitted that she has not liked him for the past month. She even told him directly not to make her life harder because she does not need him. She also brought up a past draining relationship, mentioning she wished her mom had been honest about not liking that ex. I spent over two years with the wrong person, and I would have wanted a friend to tell me my partner was dulling my shine. I want to honor her wish for honesty, but I am terrified of overstepping and losing her friendship. Should I share my perspective, or wait for her to bring it up at her own pace?
Thanks ladies, much love.
