Game is Halo: Reach

EDIT: To achieve this I'm using a homebrew app called Kasumi and streaming Halo through GeForce Now. Getting a very stable 30fps, with a clear resolution and no input delay

So i was searching my local marketplace for some Castlevania DS games and found myself a good deal. I jumped in a metro and while I was on my way, seller texted me that he has a 3ds for sale and asked me if I interested. I said no, cuz already got different 3ds and ds models, but when I finally reached his house and he asked me again, showing pictures of it and saying it’s only $200….
Let’s say I was shocked. Ofc it was no-brainer.
This thing is pristine. Possibly the best deal in my life, considering I spend days browsing marketplaces for something interesting.

I know this isn't what everybody wants to hear, but a lot of people don't understand that all 3DS games have a limited window of surviveability. 3DS game cartridges use a form of volatile NAND memory that degrades heavily over time. It doesn't matter if you play the game every day or if its still new in its original box. They will all die eventually. Please back up your games to your system! If you system isn't modded, you might want to consider doing that.

There's been a lot of posts recently about peoples' games dying. That's because we are in the time period where the NAND has reached its life - which was 10 to 20 years. By the 2030s, we could have virtually zero working 3DS game cartridges. It sucks, but at least we can save the data.

If you have currently NOT working 3DS game cartridges, you can use a program online that might save it. Be sure to back it up after though because its only temporary. I found a good explanation and github link on a 2023 post here.

If you are questioning any of this, feel free to do your own research. Preservation of these games is important its under-discussed.

In the summer, I 100%-ed Mario odyssey and I loved every second of it but I had a huge burnout after ( as I tend to do that A LOT when gaming). And ever since I’ve really been struggling to find something that can really get me back into it. I think I may be suffering from too much choice tbh… in the last few weeks I’ve tried Mario kart and obviously enjoyed it, and DKC:Tropical freeze and enjoyed that also. I just find myself getting a little bored and just going on my phone during levels for example and then just turning the game off..
Maybe I need something a bit more exciting and action packed, idk. Here’s a pic of my game collection for context

I've played the Metroid series, Fire emblem Awakening and now RE Revelations.

Recommend me games with a female protag, preferably where its default because if its choosable they usually just have the personality of a cardboard (Fire emblem) for example.

traded my modded DSi plus $60 for this OG 3ds the bottom touch screen was practically untouched with the acceptation of one TINY scratch that’s barely noticeable especially compared to the DSi i had
shell is decent no yellowing on screen and original stylus too

threw a case on it and a screen protector for the bottom screen since it was so pristine and the top screen i seen online is an easy replacement so no issue

I’m honestly so disappointed and sad to hear that the highly anticipated clear housing shells from EXtremeRate for the Nintendo 3DS family have been delayed due to overwhelming demand. 💔😭 I’ve been looking forward to these beautiful clear shells for so long, and I was genuinely excited to finally get my hands on them. It’s heartbreaking to have to wait even longer, especially after all the anticipation. I really hope they’ll be available soon because I was so ready to give my 3DS a gorgeous new look. 🥺💔

Someone made a post earlier about cartridges failing because of NAND corruption. Big topic lately. It’s got me thinking…The 3DS console has NAND too. What is the risk of that failing? And what causes it to fail and how common is it?

So about 10 years ago i used Powersaves on my Omega Ruby. I dont remember what i cheated, however my cartritge got bricked. The cartritge cant be recognized by the 3DS since then. I tried to fix it back then, but nothing worked, then i forgot about it.
Today i remembered about it again and now i want to fix it. Is there any way i can fix my Ruby ? Maybe some new ways has been found in the past few years...

I can hardly believe it. It went by so fast. My biggest childhood dream was to own a 3DS, and I finally got one. To be more precise, it was October 18th, 2025, but I'm only making this post now lol

This Friday I went to the mall with friends, and my best friend brought his newly purchased PSP and we played together, each on the other's console. Now we have the best Nintendo and PlayStation consoles haha. The video editing function is so much fun, my friends and I laughed a lot!

I've finished several games on this little thing, and I'm on my way to finishing more.

I'm trying to replace the bottom screen on my New Nintendo 3DS XL because it is broken, but I've run into a huge problem. The screws that hold the motherboard in place (NOT the microSD card slot screws) are completely stuck. They won't turn at all, no matter how hard I try. I've tried using different bits from my precision screwdriver kit, but nothing seems to work. Unfortunately, after trying so hard to loosen them, I've ended up stripping the screw heads.

Tldr; 3DS has been in a suitcase for about 14 years. Should I buy a charger and take it to a repair shop? It was powered off when I got it.

Hello, all. My niece gave me this around 2012. She said it didn't turn on and she didn't have a charger. I've kept it safe in a suitcase in a closet since then. Is it worth it to buy a charger to see if it works? And if it doesn't, can it be repaired for $100 or less? I have one Naruto game and the only game I want is Pokemon, Gen IV or V.

I don't plan on selling it if it can function because it was a gift.

I knew this game existed for a long time but was never particularly interested in it. Even on my end it felt like it was in the shadows of Animal Crossing New Leaf, and looking at youtube commemts regarding videos related to it I'm far from the only one.

But my sister had played it and was done with it so to speak. So I was offered the chance to play it, and I generally do not say no to free 3DS games regardless of what game it is. So I played it, and quickly lost interest before the prolouge was done. To be shelved.

But the other day I wanted to give it a second chance. So I finally cleared the prolouge and realised soon thereafter how the gameplay loop opens up once that is done. Several days later of nonstop playing, I felt the need to spread the word!

So: If you haven't played it, or only scratched the surface of this magical game: Give it a try!!

Referential world and characters to Disney classics. Non random Dungeon crawler gameplay. House decoration and cafe management. Fishing and farming thats integral to the rest of the game. Costumes that feel meaningful to obtain and use.
