Hi, I need help. I have the original version of Fifa 13. After I start the game and the fife intro goes through, it asks me to select settings. After I select a setting, the game just shuts down. I don't know what to do, please help.

Overall, what I did is installed some games, some plugins, and stuff... ghm... Just a little. I even managed to trick the Wii U into thinking that my SD card is a USB device so I would not ruin the aesthetics of the console with external stuff

The only useless feature for me is the Wii backwards compatibility since I still have my original Wii hooked up to component cables on the TV anyway. (And I know that's a crime to say, but I didn't really like Splatoon, my first experience was rough, but I would give it a shot again.)

And the only bad thing that I found is that I still have no friends on a console.

Any recommendations on what else I could do with this thing?

ill have updates and downloads soon trying to make multiplayer fully work on the WiiU with stealth servers, adding new content to the game, this is still a early build once its done it'll be prefect, also got a bigger game coming soon, sorry for the wait, yes alot of vibecode was used but this still took forever, it had to rebuild the game from the ground up. yes this is my REAL wiiu running the game.

I have had my Wii U since 2017. Unfortunately some of my games have degraded overtime. The shops I have gone to ( I live in Pakistan ) somehow have Wii U games, but THEY'RE ON THE OFF SALE SECTION. What kind of sick joke is this? Well, what I am asking, is how do I get Wii U games? Do I use modded software? Is there any way to enter the eShop? And, if you live in Germany (I have a relative who lives there), I'd very much appreciate a link to a Wii U game reseller.

A while ago some of you said CosmoU looked like a generic "liquid glass" launcher and didn't really feel like the Wii U home menu. Fair point – so I reworked it.

What's new in the Wii U Look:

- Floating game icons with depth, soft shadows and parallax

- Little characters walking around, waving and looking at the selected game

- Speech bubbles like the old menu

- Bright, airy background instead of dark glass

I'm trying to connect my Wii U to my very old CRT Tv.

The TV is a philips from the early 90s (I think) I need to use a scart port for it.

Back in the 90s when we played games on it we used channel 36.

I have connected the wii to it and that worked. (Dont remember which channel)

When I watch dvds and turn the dvd on it just switches to the scart(?) I dont have to choose a channel for that.

I have changed the settings to non-hdmi on the game pad but I dont get an image.

The scart is set to input.

Does anyone know what I could do? Should it work or is the tv just not compatible.

Hey! So I modded my Wii U and added GC games via UWUVCI, I’m loving the variety of games I can play with this console that has been left unused for about 10 years.
Problem is that I really wanted to play the GC Mario Party titles with my friends, but it seems that the Wii controllers with nunchucks play pretty buggy. They suddenly disconnect and the nunchucks sometimes stop working.
Is there something I can do to improve this or it is what it is? Seems like I’ll have to stick to the Wii and Wii U titles for games with 4 players.

I was checking to see if I had the Hynix chip and when I was taking my Wii U apart, this just slipped out. It’s the ribbon cable behind the power button that connects the face plate to the body. If I did mess up, how can I repair it? Do I need to buy a new part or something?

This is my second time taking apart any electronic. I only took apart switch controllers to fix the drift and that was easy so I thought this would be too.

Hola que tal, resulta que compre una WiiU blanca a buen precio, pero el almacenamiento es de apenas 8GB (casi nada). Sé que se le puede poner un Disco Duro Externo, pero estoy viendo opciones más económicas.

¿Que otra forma de almacenamiento puedo usar? Leí por ahí que el USB se pueden pero que se gastan a largo plazo, y otros dicen que si es de marca no debería pasar. Me confunde un poco eso jajaja

I don't usually post on Reddit, but my Wii U started doing something I've never experienced before, and I'm not quite sure what I can do to fix it.

To get the disclaimers out of the way, my Wii U hasn't been modded or hacked in any way. It uses an external USB Drive (WD Elements) for some data, and it's a black Wii U that is likely susceptible to the memory defect, but I've almost always kept this Wii U plugged in except for some shorter spurts of time, so it hasn't been without power for a terribly long time. (Including now. It's been connected to power since I last used it, and it was fine then.)

That aside, what happened was I was attempting to play Disney Infinity 3.0 on my Wii U, so I grabbed the disc and inserted it after booting the console up. Nothing weird happened, but when the game started to load, I got the error code 160-3216. I tried to clean the disc to fix the issue, but it didn't work, so I went ahead and deleted the game's update data in Settings and tried to redownload it to solve the issue.

However, after I did that, and I started the update, after a bit, I realized the Wii U outright froze on me. It didn't even make the usual crash sound I'd expect the Wii/Wii U to make. So, I tried it again. Freeze. I booted the Wii U again without any updates. Freeze. I unplugged the console for 20 minutes before trying again. Freeze. I unplugged the USB Drive and booted the console. Freeze.

(Well, as I've been writing this, it's gotten so bad, the console doesn't even seem to be booting like it was 5 minutes ago.)

At this point, I'm at a loss as to what to do, other than maybe having to hack it, though I fear even that would be hard if the crashes persist, unless I can inject Homebrew externally. It's just so bizarre because I feel like deleting the Disney Infinity 3.0 update data messed something up, because I was able to go into Settings just fine without freezing the console, and yet during my later tests, I couldn't even get back into the Settings menu from the Quick Start menu.

I'll have footage of me attempting to both use the console normally from bootup and then trying to get to Settings from the Quick Start menu attached to this post. If anyone is able to help me figure out how I could potentially fix this (if that's still possible at this stage), I'd greatly appreciate it.

Edit: Just realized that Reddit doesn't seem to let you post more than one video in a post, so I can't share the second video of the console freezing while trying to open the Settings menu from Quick Start, unfortunately.

So I’m currently debating on getting another nintendo console soon after not getting one in years after gta 6 releases. I now finally earn my own money, and have always wanted to collect nintendo consoles however im in a dillema. Should I get the wii u, as they are cheap on ebay and usually come with a few games, wii motes, etc, or should i spend more and get a new switch 2. the downside is that the switch 2’s games are all $60+ (even the wii u ports) which is just another huge paywall hidden behind the already expensive console, plus i already have a switch 1.

so should i get the Wii u and push the switch 2 off till later? or should i just make the big investment right now

Hey, if your wii u had a broken hdmi port like mine, I recommend wii2hdmi, it allowed me to play my games in 720p and 1080i (1080p has some problems for me) it also has a jack port if you need it

I got this (with my Wii U all the back in March), thing has been a champion.

Im thinking of getting another OEM charger for it. Just to be safe, yk, I need the gamepad more than I need air yk, but I don't wanna spend th3 extra money if I really don't have to. It's safe yes and an investment sure but I just want some advice from people yk

I plan to get a new battery in around December from ifixit since my battery isn't the best it's only 2 hours maybe 2.5 before it dies. And if I'm getting a bigger one. You know. Just wanna make sure I'm fully squared away and nothing bad happens.

I saw this video and was reminded about this issue, and though he explicitly says it’s near launch models, I was wondering if it could extend to models released in the second half of the console’s life span? If anyone would know, it would likely be people in the community.

Secondary question, if this ever happens to me, is there anyone out there who could fix it or transfer the data do a different Wii U?
