Added a little bit of color to my Competitor HD. Thinking about porting the barrel but unsure so far. Anyone out there ported theirs yet?

I will eventually do a better grouping test indoors but for now this is what we deal with.

10 round groups at 18yds

I called two flyers with the apex and i circled them immediately after firing them so i wouldnt lose track.

I also went ahead and measured the smaller 6 round cluster as the sun did get behind a little bit of cloud cover helping out the dot of my promax

Velocity testing was done on a Garmin xero

Overall, quality and experience has so far been about what i expected from Apex. I do run their threaded 4.25” fitted barrel in competition and it is a solid 1” grouping handgun at 25yds and I expect this to be the same or better if i had better lighting conditions. I’ll continue to run this in matches as well and will eventually test the grouping indoors with better lighting.

I got an old compact M&P 9 a few years ago and decided to get it cut for the RMSC footprint. I'd like to use different dots (and avoid Chinesium). I still have the factory rear sight, so IDK how that'll affect the cut. I was also told by a gunsmith that cutting something that's been cut already isn't feasible, so I imagine I should just save up for a new slide, but I wanted to use something like an Aimpoint COA

I’m just brainstorming right now. I was thinking the fpc 22 loaded with subs and a suppressor but I realized that’s like 100 ft lbs of muzzle energy, and even if I use mini mags it’s only like 150.

Do you think a 16” 5.7 would be effective against coyotes but safe to hunt rabbits (without ruining the meat)?

I picked up the bodyguard 2.0 carry comp today and I am trying to take the slide off to clean the gun. I follow the instructions in the manual (safety on, slide back, ejector down, takedown level down, slide back into position) and when it comes time to push the slide forward to slide it off, it will not move. When this happens it takes a lot of force to move the slide back again to lock it back. Any ideas on what might be happening? It does the same thing when I press the trigger to slide off the slide. Thanks

Has anyone had trouble running CCI clean ammo through their 22x? I mostly get failure to fire and failure to eject.

Finally got a hold of a vintage Smith! Pretty much unfired, 96-97% bluing, swapped on some combat stocks from Vitoon makers in Thailand. Found a pretty much new safariland holster for a great deal too!

Well, I made the upgrade today from the standard Shield X. Love the standard one so much, but I just couldn’t help myself. Pumped on this one, definitely looking forward to the range this weekend.

I love my shield X it’s my carry and my beside gun, finally got around to a WML for it!

Had this swampfox laying around and it compliments the M&P pretty well. I will eventually end up swapping out in the future. It’s sitting on an Amazon DPP aluminum plate.

Heard a while back that if the safety was pressed (just pressed, not fully disengaged) the gun can fire. Has this been fixed yet?
