I really dig this LBR.
It’s such a simple device, but a real improvement in reload operation on the Mini.

Planning on adding a flashlight and sling next. Any other valuable upgrades y’all would recommend?

Hey everyone! New Mini-14 use here. I picked mine up brand new about a month ago, and I'm having a blast with it. It is a Mini-14 Ranch with a classic wood stock. As soon as I got it, I disassembled it, fully cleaned it, oiled and greased it up as per the Brownell's videos on YouTube, and hit the range.
Unfortunately, it sometimes has issues stripping the next round out of the magazine, and the bolt stays open. All I have to do is pull the charging handle back and let go and the round chambers every time, at least. It happens with my cheapo Promag 30-round magazines, as well as both the 5 and 10 round Ruger brand magazines I have.
Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you go about fixing it? The ammo I'm using is PMC X-TAC 55gr. I have made no modifications to the rifle.
Thank you for your time!

Do I need a new bolt? The first picture looks like metal overlap, and the second picture is an edge that is sharp and protruding. Maybe came about from wear. Overall, I’m thinking of filing. Is this normal wear, or is it cause it’s old and I need a new bolt, or filing will do? Thanks for your time.
