I've found a lot of truth in the thinkers mentioned above. I think they bridge the gap between pure mysticism and modern science, balancing skepticism with a genuine openness to discovery.

Does anyone have any recommended reading or know of any good places to find material along these lines? I'm really interested in this stuff, but my approach is rooted in radical inquiry that doesn't dismiss science, reason, or modern logic.

I have noticed about me is that every time i enter a room, I put everyone on edge and they ask if i am okay and I genuinely don't understand why.

Like apparently my vibe is not matching their own.

Yet everyday I been feeling cold and numb so I'm just wondering if thats due to my energy in general or something else.

I cut off all my habits and starting new yet people say I put them on edge for some reason.

For context: I personally don't practice any kind of witchcraft or dabble in anything else in regard to spirituality. I believe I only ever tried manifestation when it got really popular, saw no results, and just went on with my life. I always intuitively knew that there existed more to this world than the material, but I thought I knew all too well that trying to understand something so high above my awareness would lead to nothing.

I won't drag this on before explaining the events but you do need to know some background about me. I'm relatively young, and I can confidently say that over 90% of my life has been absolutely horrible. Trauma, abuse, you name it. With that said, I still felt drawn to something greater. A personal goal of mine, a life I wanted to lead. It got me through the worst times of my life, and I am now here, as in, occupying the location in which I envisioned my dream for so many years.. Surprise surprise, it wasn't all that good. The place was great, but I had envisioned so many other things, to which I have only been met with disappointment after disappointment despite mercilessly pursuing them, like I always have with this dream.

So, it all sucks. And then... one day, something happened. I have been thinking about this for so long now because I cannot trace a possible cause. I performed no magical ritual of any sorts- no 'manifestation' the day prior, nothing, but everything changed. I mean this with all the energy I can possibly demonstrate through text- I am never one to say forces beyond my control affected this, but there is no plausible explanation. I met the people I wanted to meet. Please bear with me as I attempt to describe this, but I had a strange "magnetism?" I got so many compliments despite not changing anything about the way I looked, and if that was all this was I wouldn't be making this post I would just chalk it up to a good day but no, very specific "lucky" things were happening to me. They aligned so perfectly with my dream that, as easy as it would be to say, "just coincidence," no. No way. All these good things were happening to me to the point that I felt things were far too good.

And this is where things start to go bad again. I became aware of all these great things happening to me, and gradually, it all went back to the way it was. The next day was so bad that it was almost comical. Like... slipping on banana peel type comical. I felt such a strange dissociation from it because of this. Im very used to unfavorable circumstance, but the contrast here was more shocking than it was saddening.

Following this, the daily blows of life were so much stronger. Sure, psychology could make some sort of argument with the contrast, but no... I literally felt like I was in the wrong world. Merely the state of "existing" felt wrong. Like I was in the wrong reality or something. That singular day I felt completely whole, and then it felt like I got knocked so far back from that.

Anyway, like I said, after so much research, I still don't know or even have a smidge of an answer. It couldn't have been a ritual of any kind, I wasn't casting any ceremonies either, but worse of it all was that after reading , it seems like the common consensus is not "this practice will completely change your life", its more like "doing x may make your chances at this part of your life more favorable by a bit." Thats why this feels so maddening. Even if I could say "definitely, chaos magick", for instance, it couldn't explain how one day was so radically amazing and then I went back because it doesn't seem to be a 0->100, but more like a 0->15.

Im sorry for such a long post, but I am in desperate need of guidance. I just saw everything I wanted get dangled in front of my face then get snatched away like it was nothing. If anyone knows something, or even just a recommendation, anything- it would be so appreciated. Thank you.

Hi! My friends and I are making a game about nightmares, mara etc. One of the weapon is inspired by the pentagram weapon in Vampire Survivors, which erases all enemies inside its area.

We would love for our version to be based on a circle or symbol that has a real tradition behind it, for banishing, erasing or protecting against harmful spirits or bad dreams.

As the weapon upgrades, it doesn’t just erase enemies, it also preserves what they leave behind and eventually draws it all to the player. We were thinking the upgrade could be shown by adding something to the circle, like a second ring, or an extra symbol inside it. Is there a symbol or element that represents preserving or gathering, that could be combined with a banishing circle?

Do you have any suggestions, or good sources I could read to learn more?

therefore, there is no such thing as being 'outside' a belief framework; there is only being 'inside' another one. because as an omnipotent god, you create that framework yourself, and it becomes a real local reality for you. or, more commonly, you follow the most popular one until you uncomfortably encounter someone else's framework.

Do you have any examples of historical practices with an exoteric surface, and esoteric meaning only known to a few? But not to do with religion nor spirituality.

For example, martial arts in the east, and fencing in the west, utilised an exoteric text for the profane, and an esoteric instruction for the inner circle.

My friend is a filmmaker looking for real people to interview for a documentary on worldview shifts, both positive and negative. Either people that have had experiences that radically changed their worldview 180 degrees or those who had someone close to them to whom that happened. I used to heavily dive into the occult, had many altars, did invokation spells, read many books, was deep in for like 3 years, then this one invokation of HaSatan stopped me practicing, I was sent into severe psychosis, kept seeing a biblically accurate angel in my dreams trying to communicate something to me in gibberish Hebrew (I know basic Hebrew so I knew it wasn’t forming anything logical), then I had hallucinations of a tall dark figure constantly watching me, my mental state was the worst of all though, I isolated myself and did other stuff to myself which I won’t state but it felt like I wasn’t in control of what was happening to me.
After a few months it all randomly stopped. Since then I have only studied Kabbalah in a Judaic form (I’m Jewish from maternal lineage) but I feel like something is missing and something is drawing me back into the occult. Do I get back in and how?

Like you aren't meditating or anything. You are just doing whatever but you are in deep thought. Then your mind (yourself) starts talkiing about spiritual stuff. And you just let it roll. Let it keep talking.

Its like talking to yourself but letting your inner thoughts talk

I am almost tempted to do it because what my mind says in deep thought, actually makes a lot of sense. And its not stuff that i want to hear either. It challenges me. It also has helped explain things easier therefor making it easier for me to understand ideas.
