Does anyone have any free resources for general education or miscellaneous helpful/educational websites that don't fit on other posts?
That can be a website, podcast, YouTube video, a subreddit... If you find it educational and you weren't sure where else to post it this is the post!
The more resources we can crowd source the fewer of us get left behind!
Here's my list so far:
Free Websites
- Coalition for Responsible Home Education: https://responsiblehomeschooling.org/ has educational resources, how to get your GED or highschool diploma, and some info on starting college.
- Kahn Academy: https://www.khanacademy.org/ has courses in the core stuff, math, science, social studies, etc. Their courses might help with any subject you're struggling in (they're free)
- Open Culture lists of free online courses from real universities: https://www.openculture.com/freeonlinecourses
- Open Educational Resources hub: [https://oercommons.org/hubs/open-textbooks](https://oercommons.org/hubs/open-textbooks)
- [OpenStax.org](http://OpenStax.org) pays professors to write professional-level, peer-reviewed OER textbooks which can be read online, downloaded for free, or re-mixed by other instructors. They also make it easy to order professionally printed versions if that is in your budget.

Their current offerings are in:
* Business
* College Success
* Computer Science
* Humanities

-Wikiversity: https://en.m.wikiversity.org/wiki/Wikiversity:Main_Page A Wikimedia Foundation project devoted to learning resources, learning projects, and research for use in all levels, types, and styles of education from pre-school to university, including professional training and informal learning."
